after hours is Inferno , Dawn FM is Prugatory and The Last album is Paradisio. The whole trilogy is inspired from the Divine comedy written by Dante Aligri
I’ve always felt this too, but I hope midway through the album the theme changes to you can never get away from your problems and regret, even in a heaven like state of paradise.

idk if this is a CRAZY hot take but genuinely there is no mainstream artist that does what abel does. i dont see anyone (correct me if im wrong) actually crafting such a deep, dark, grandiose story and using music as his outlet to tell this story, to tell the audience about his inner self and the struggles he has gone through at the same time crafting it into a whole new but identical character with so much thought and depth put into it
I totally didn’t realize that the weekend’s albums were telling this kind of story before this video lol- have you looked into twenty one pilots? they definitely have a much more “frayed” and convoluted lore but if you’re really into the backstories of these songs they’d be worth a shot hahaha

for a little while i've had a feeling of this being a potential double album, whether it be 2 in 1 or 2 separate albums, i've never really had anything to back it but i have recently started to feel like it could be possible

The part in the trailer for his new album where it has the picture of the Starboy and Black Panther album, maybe that could be a clue that Kendrick Lamar is gonna be a feature on this next Weeknd album?... because Kendrick is on the Starboy album and Weeknd is on Black Panther which Kendrick produced. As much as I have wanted the album to drop on 9/6, realistically, this is how the rollout might go (but you never know). On 9/6, he might release the lead single for the album and then the next day when he performs at Sao Paulo, he will perform some songs from the new album and hopefully reveals the album title or maybe even the release date as well. As far as when it could release, it definitely will be this year because he has an Apple Vision Pro experience coming out later this year which is confirmed to be connected to the new album, so he might drop the album with the experience. As far as a specific month, I am going to say.... either October or November because December just seems unrealistic to me. But of course, anything is possible with this rollout. Bro has teased 6 songs for this album so he might as well release it sooner rather than later lol. But of course I will be patient. Also great video Tofu.
I feel like it’ll be in October because he was promoting that haunted house at Universal Studios with all three albums as the theme. I really hope that’s the case.

This is insane. I’ve been away from The Weeknd’s music for a couple years. I barely listened to few songs like blinding lights but didn’t get into the album like I did with his old works because when I started listening to him I was in a relationship with a woman who got me into the weeknd. I kinda been away doing my own thing but the crazy part is that the way he depicts this story is actually a good description of what it’s like to eventually face yourself. I met another woman and I went through a similar process that destroyed me and forced me to face myself, to take accountability. When you say “purify his soul” that is exactly what it feels like to no longer hold grudges with the past and even smile at the ass whooping life gave me . Some call it karma while we can just say the consequences of our actions. There was spiritual elements involved, powerful energies and witchcraft in the process. I was just an asshole, a womanizer. I almost went insane and kept blaming the women from my past until I was forced to face myself and my wickedness. I am happy now because I had to be destroyed in order to experience a rebirth, I am a new man in every way and I can finally smile. Now I’m curious to actually listen to all these songs and study the albums like I did with his early work 😂

I really didn't know there was so much story behind it. That's pretty cool.
After the sep 7th show it all makes much more sense. Before the concert started, the displayed showed The Weeknd (the old one, from Dawn fm’s cover) peaking through some big ass doors, which I assume are supposed to be heaven’s gates. The stage was in the shape of a cross and in the middle was a construction that resembled a church. In the end, he entered towards the now, open, heaven gates and faded away.

The clock going backwards and him visiting his past selves as a child version of himself implies traveling in time. The tweet was more of an added piece of evidence that time will be a big factor. Could’ve worded it better

What you said the storyline of after is is not how I see it. Blinding lights is not him going back to his old ways, he’s in a coma and dreaming from blinding lights through repeat after me. After hours is him dying and until I bleed out is him as it says bleeding out. That’s just how I see it though

If "Hurry Up Tomorrow" is the new album name, it isnt what I expected. I expected Afterlife or something similar to that. I'm sure there will be tons of afterlife themes in his videos and the young kid version of Abel kind of implies some sort of renewal type of ideas. Almost like afterlife redemption. And I'm sure this album will setup the end of The Weeknd and the beginning as Abel. I am positive this album will be great.
