Nicely done, but didn't play the full piece. JRM is one of those pianists that nobody can truly capture or replicate his style and sound with authenticity because alot of his personality and life experiences were what influenced his sound. Great performance indeed though and this is definitely one of the better modern covers I have heard, without a doubt 😎 👍
Did pretty well. It is so hard to capture jelly roll morton, actual playing, that what makes his works so beautiful. It is the same with Liszt or Chopin. I'm pretty sure they wrote it but it is hard to capture how they want to play the piece of music, or how they wanted it to be. Overall, well played.
This isn’t stride. Jelly Roll Mortons style was usually called Stomp piano though it’s also jazz. He said they pretty much mean the same thing. Stride is something like James P. Johnson or Fats Wallers playing
one of the better big fat ham covers I've heard
Frank, you bounce joyfully on the keyboard. Excellent interpretation ❤
Quite a short performance but this is a great example of Livolsi's precise and clean style, not a single misplaced note!
I'm learning this real quick.. one sec.
This is the performance I come to whenever I want to listen to this piece
Many thanks for sharing!
I've been listening to this every day. Absolute top notch performance!!

I just realized that the audio is a bit off in one of the camera angles xD

This version is the best
best cover vision I heard
