Cardinal Sessions was founded in the summer of 2010. They challenge the classic music video and try to replace impersonal footage with immediate and emotional snapshots.
Bands from all over the world with their different genres present their songs reduced to the essence of the musical spectrum - only vocals and unplugged instruments. Due to the spontaneous live-aspect and the approach to record every song without any additional rehearsal, songs emerge that often sound significantly different to their album versions.
We film on locations that the musicians mostly choose by themselves: remote places, frequented streets, parks, woods, fields, bars; nothing is impossible. We have accomplished our goal if the location fits well to the background of the music we and the artists want to present. But our most important purpose is that there are no borders: we film everything that we like, no matter how popular, famous or also unknown a band might be. It is still important for us to support local talents and it will always stay part of our concept.
The Cardinal Sessions team can also be booked: for example to film short documentaries of album recordings, studio recordings or live concert moments that you want to capture.

Yeah it's a damn shame that our government is the one responsible for these drug filled towns. I grew up in a town just like that. The local business men and law enforcement controlled the drug trade and will rot in hell for the pain they brought so many families.

Your screwing my whole mind up, every song seems to be better than the last, they are all songs I know well and have heard 1000s of times, but they seem fresh and different. Cant say better but definitely equal and original to your style. I am knocked off my feet and can't find the floor again to stand steady. Never have I heard one person do so many great songs covers and like all of them, but your group's songs I like to listen to as well. Unfortunately I don't understand the lyrics yet but I'll get there. Raw talent in spades man. You are the real deal and I cant wait to see what follows... Thanks for sharing this with everyone. I swear this could've been my writing. Exactly my thoughts. Never have I met a band before with absolutely no skips. Like, none, zero. Everything they touch is gold. I don't understand most of the lyrics either, but there's no need because Henning has a way to deliver a song so that the meaning actually comes through in any language.
