  • Almost time to take the S2K out to the final track event of the year! But before I do that, I decided to install adjustable upper control arms in my AP1 S2000. I also switch out the bump stops for some more progressive bump stops which should help the car feel better attacking the curbs.
    Let me know what your thoughts are on this modification, and what other mods you would like to see on my S2000. Subscribe so you don't miss out on new videos every week!

    Nice build and great channel. I just picked up the RSG Spec Feals 441+ for my AP1. Did the Penske progressive bump stops help? Any feedback on them?

    Saw your car on the alignment rack at Firestone

    If you do this again measure the camber at ride height. Then measure the camber again on the lift when the suspension is in droop. Then when you install the new arms you can adjust the camber in droop to achieve the desired camber at ride height. Of course you'll need to adjust the toe at the end, but at least you'll be in a better ballpark if you take it to an alignment shop. Thanks for the videos I also have an s2k for the track and a VA WRX for the street.

      Nice choice! The s2000 is the perfect track car in my opinion. The WRX is a perfect daily/weekend car to enjoy some spirited driving.
      I’ll have to give the droop thing a try next time!

    I just did the origin offset UCA bushings. Maxed out at -3.7.

      I was thinking about running those as well. How hard of an install was it getting the old bushings out/pressing the new ones in? at least I got a Firestone lifetime alignment so I can change whenever

      @@FosterJohnsonMedia It was sorta a hassle. Check the video above, I had to use a press.

      Also, lifetime alignments sounds good!, especially if they will take you outside the normal ranges aka, track specs.

    No one mentioned, this yet. you torqued the upper front LCAS with no load on the suspension.

      I had never considered that, good to know! These didn’t end up staying on the car long - in the end I switched back to my stock upper control arms due to the balljoints failing

      @@FosterJohnsonMediahow did the ball joints fail? I was thinking of getting these UCAs.

      @@Jabadilla it was during uninstall , not during use! They should be fine

    How do you like the Feals?

    • @FosterJohnsonMedia
      @FosterJohnsonMedia  2 года назад

      I think they do a pretty good job for a medium level coilover. Definitely a step up from anything entry level. Tbh I wish I went with MCS or something a little more track proven though so I will probably be upgrading soon
