great video. the one thing that surprised me is that neither my a7iv or a7siii have slog gamma assist or display lut capabilites through the app. It works, but I wish it had those so I don't have to look at log onscreen.
Hey you're awesome this is awesome, thanks for showing! I just got my cams up to 3.01 (no issues!) and wanted to use the app but realized I need a wifi access point! A bummer but I get it.
Bro, I love this tutorial. Really cool angles and attitude. Keep it up! One think I had to do you didn't cover... I had to also set up Wifi-Connect on each of my cameras, connecting them to the network... probably not needed with a Cellular iPad. But it's needed without an iPad that can act as a wifi hotspot.
Hey, what’s up, man? I appreciate the message. You’re totally right. You completely miss a fundamental step, which is setting up the cameras. Without that component, everything else is a bit difficult.
I'm glad it works well for you. What firmware are you using on your A7s3? There have been a ton of people getting error messages on their cameras after updating to firmware 3.00 or later and trying to connect to Monitor & Control app with their A7s3 and A1 cameras. . "The WiFi/Bluetooth unit has malfunctioned. Cannot use the wireless network function."
Thank you. I am using 3.01. I saw a few horror stories on Reddit about people upgrading, but I just followed the process and made sure to upgrade according to each previously required version. I believe version 3.01 addressed the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth issue.
@MusicFed Hey, what’s up? The Monitor+ app was my go-to app for controlling my camera; however, Sony’s new Creators App now completely destroys it. The native support and the capability to change your camera settings all from an app are game changers. Sony's Original camera app was terrible, which is why groups like Monitor+ were able to create a superior tool. However, now I don’t think any other apps will have the range of native support for Sony bodies.
@@justbobbyt thanks. I have only used it briefly but it seems you can control most functions from monitor + too? But I’m sure you’re right and this new app is way more powerful. That’s great news! I mainly used monitor + to check what I’m shooting with my RS4 gimbal and it did a decent job. Thanks buddy

Thank you, how come we can't play back a video on the phone or tablet, it's only for monitoring, i wish we could see what we just recorded
Yes, that would be an awesome feature. It would likely require filming and transmitting a proxy file.
@@justbobbyt how do you like this sony app vs the monitor + app (I see you have that too)/ thanks!. fed
