    SRI - Shock Release Instrument: • Shock Release Instrument
    Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, talks about shoulder pain in his latest video. In particular, Dr. Joe discusses pain in the acromioclavicular joint (commonly referred to as the AC joint).
    The AC joint is a small synovial joint that forms where the acromion process of the scapula meets the end of the clavicle. The ac joint can often become dysfunctional and result in a lot of "clicking", "grinding", and other various awful sounding noises when you move your shoulder.
    Dr. Joe demonstrates how to first perform fascial release work on the soft tissue around the acromioclavicular joint. He then demonstrates how to perform a release on the ac joint itself.
    If you are experiencing problems with your ac joint, give these simple techniques a try. Of course, always consult your doctor first.

    For 13 years I've walked with pain. Sometimes up to the point that I couldn't work out anymore. Went to hospitals, physiotherapists. Nothing, until I did this. Something clicked in my shoulder and it's good again. Haven't felt this good in 13 years.
    Thank you so much!!

    This single exercise has changed-my-life!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been plagued with AC Joint pain for 15 years and didn't know what to do about it. I was terrifed of having surgery and have tried every exercise imaginable with little relief. The pain was so constant and unrelenting that it felt like I was walking around with a low grade fever all the time. It was a feeling of complete hopelessness. Then, like a miracle, this exercise entered my life. Thank you again.

    Gonna keep this short…my shoulder was killing me after heavy bench press! My range of motion was limited and my shoulder would hurt with any movement. Did the towel trick and it helped a TON. Consistently been doing it even without the towel for a few days and the pain is reducing and my range of motion is almost fully back. Thank you so much appreciate your advice! Much love!

    Thank you for having literally the only self help video for a dislocated AC joint, this is amazing, I’m baffled that two of my last chiropractors have not diagnosed my AC joint separation when my shoulders are an inch apart in height and one has a huge bone sticking up, I guess the state of our medicine is unbelievably bad, although I’ll keep looking for a good one, this exercise has been an immense help.

    I have shoulder issues for more than 20 years. I have been doing shoulder rehabilitation regularly for more than 6 months. It has help to some extend. I can now do weighted pull up and standing and seated shoulder presses up to 18kg with good form and slow eccentric. However, the shoulder is still loose and i struggle the most with bench presses regardless incline or flat. I practise all the queues of getting a proper arch, stablising the scapular flat and flat on the bench etc. However, i am still unable to add weight without inflamming the shoulder. Also, traps activation with heavy weights, feels the stress and pain on the ac joint. I will add this to my rehabilitation exercise. Hope it will help my chronic issue.

I injured my ac joint in September, i landed on it and the acromion swelled up, i gave it two weeks of rest and when the swelling went down i returned right back to training. The shoulder never felt the same since so about 3 months after the injury i got a cortisone shot from my doctor. Same thing took two weeks off and went right back to training. Is it possible i havent given it enough rest and need to step away from training completely for 4-6 weeks? Thank you so much you are the man

    I don’t know if you’ll reply or not but I’ll give it a shot.
    For about a year, i’m having discomfort somewhere around AC joint. It came suddenly.. no fall or trauma. At first, it was really painful during a workout but i thought that it will go away eventually so i pushed through it. After couple of month, when i saw no improvement, I started going lighter on my training and watch out that there’s no any pain. Long story short - right now ( about year later ) pain has reduced drasticly but i still feel kinda “ pinch “ when i cross arm over my body. I’ve been to couple PT’s and they all told me theres nothing wrong with my shoulder but my trap and shoulder blade are very tight. My question to you is - could that “ pain “ i’m still feeling coming from trap ( part that you massage on the video ), or is it AC joint? And for the record, mine is not painful or tender to touch.
    Thank you so much in advance and i really hope to hear from you :)

    my shoulder has a bump about like yours, but only on the right (overdeveloped) side near the AC joint. Was worried i might be looking at surgery but just the fascial release part of this made it feel way way better and its not popping and crackling at all right now. • @OcraMedHealth
      @OcraMedHealth  3 года назад

      Heavy overhead movements general aggravate this type of problem. However, as weightlifters, we are not going to avoid training. Therefore, expect some pain after training. Ice the shoulder down for 20 minutes after lifting. Warm up good prior to working out. Using techniques that I demonstrate in this video are helpful. I do this all the time prior to training chest/shoulders. I also perform some light band exercises prior to lifting. As far as lifting, just let pain be your guide. If on a particular day, a certain exercise is hurting, then skip it for that day. Good luck!
