Great work bud, very helpful and informative guide for beginners like me, i was about to give up on my attempt of hosting till i found this video, it walked me through the install and inertial setup with minor difficulty which easily be overlooked by anyone intelligent enough to bother, people complaining are just plain racist who haven't got anything better to do, for anyone to criticise you for manning up to help others says everything about who and what they are, keep up the good work kiddo

Here is a question, is this configuration ONLY for serving DNS to a local LAN? If I were to run my own DNS server like this, that would be my concern...don't want a home server open for queries on the public internet. That said, you WOULD want it to resolve for the public internet on behalf of the LAN. You didn't clarify that in this video OR the jump site.

Failed to start BIND : Redirecting to /bin/systemctl start named.service Job for named.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status named.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

@@linuxhelp5096 I used to be a webmin user, but for some reason when you edit the config by hand the entire BIND CONFIG MESSED UP. same the other side. i had to reinstall bind and do all the config manually because no matter how i try to set up the MX records never went well using webmin. I always get duplicated records . pretty weird i guess that is a bug with webmin last version. :-/
