I love Singapore. Such a small nation and we already got 4 terminals. Still building the 5th terminal which is going to be bigger then all 4 terminals combine. That's what we call terminal illness.
Although many Singaporeans are not happy with their competitive life style but you have to admit Singapore government is really very efficient & futuristic in terms of building the future of Singapore. Changhi is already a very busy airport and I'm pretty sure it's going to be the regional hub with its impeccable infrastructure soon.
Wow. For a small red dot country having 5 airport terminals, it’s awesome! When Changi Airport was first opened in the early 80s, it was a game changer in the aviation industry n soon many countries followed suit to build massive airports. Well done Singapore. Always planning n looking ahead to stay ahead.
Terminal 5 will help encourage airlines that have not yet flown to Singapore to do so and tourist numbers will increase. Some airlines like American Airlines, Air Canada, Pakistan International Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Hainan Airlines, LATAM Airlines and Iberia I hope will eventually fly to Singapore. The situation is improving already. Recently Norwegian and LOT Polish airlines started flying to Singapore. Soon, Singapore will receive so much tourists that we will be a TOP tourist destination.
I'll be filming the full walk through the terminal when it opens like i did with T1 to T3 it took me 40 minutes to walk through on video :) but you don't have to walk it ofcourse there's the skytrain but i love being able to do it.
Simply outstanding!!! Here in Australia our government has been talking about a second Sydney airport for some 2-3 decades and still waiting...Here you have a wonderful country with a population of approx. 6 million that has 5 terminals OMG Sydney you are so embarrassing and what an inept Government!!! Congratulations Singapore a city so far ahead of its size...
Jerome Ballard there are 1.3ml foreign labour working in singapore (with lower pay and conditions) supplementing just over 4ml singapore citizens and permanent residents. if australia can tolerate this level of foreign workfoce on australian soil "stealing local jobs" then i don't think building any infrastructure will be a problem.
Dun be jealous, be happy with Asutralia. Australia is beautiful. Singapore govt creates a beautiful img of itself to the world for the rich... but alot of the middle-low incomes are being sucked dry by the govt. They increase the GST and taxes faster than ur son's growth rate.
Eugene Ho my point is your government are ‘doers’ and get the job done the Australian government loves to ‘talk’ but gets nothing done that’s my point it’s not about being jealous one admires the ability of a tiny country to get the job done, I very proud to be an Aussie and know this is a beautiful country but there’s so many issues with government here that sees nothing get done....
Having been to several airports in the world, I can surely say that Singapore airport is the best airport in the world and serves as much more than a transit airport. It has got gardens, parks, movie theatres, kids area, video games, massage chairs and all, most of them completely free. The airport and the airlines of Singapore complement each other and are preferred option for any passenger traveling.
I don’t get it, as a foreigner who visits singapore at least once a year, I think Changi needs more runways instead of terminals. The Q while taxiing or landing has become longer and more frequent. Seems like building terminals is more like an “image” to maintain. Maybe Changi itself is an airport where foreigners love it, but a lot of locals hate it due to the spending costs.
See Min Lim oh I’m sure some love the idea of building Changi to be the best, while others hate it due to unnessessary spending. Just read at the comments here
Well just wait for the Airport Tax SGD100 per departure from Changi Airport. No need laahh T1, T2 and T3 + T4 is not crowded yet. We never queuing for hour in immigration, we never missed flight due to check in queue we never had to stand up for hours just because lack of seats. All the passengers needs Changi Airport still can provide. I’m afraid someday people will avoid Changi Airport due to super expensive airport tax.
That's because by the time T5 is open, the combined capacity of T1, T2, T3 & T4 will exceed. And you know, Singaporeans love to complain especially when it is crowded.
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Changi airport! I love it when we are going to dubai and stop over at Singapore oooo it’s amazing! Once we were gonna go to the butterfly garden but we didn’t hav eneough time I really hope to go to Changi airport more often than just direct!
Changi doesn't need a new terminal, Changi needs NEW RUNWAY because plane could takes 45 minutes waiting for other planes either for take off or landing.
That's why they are building T5 . Not only new runway but BIG NEW RUNWAY for big aircraft such as A380. Larger aircraft will the the future trend. Current runway can not service too many huge airplanes.
well, if I recall correctly, the plan for Changi (or Singapore for that matter) is to be the regional HQ or hub. So let's not constrict the view to within the country level but including neighbouring areas. For example, lot of us Filipinos would rather connect via SIN instead of opting for Philippine Airlines' or other local airlines' flights even if they offer direct ones.
Wow! Singapore Changi Terminal 5 is the newest terminal. Very impressive design. I hope with opened T5, more airlines will be added including Aeroflot, Scandinavian Airlines and so on.
Singapore govt team is the best ruling party team in the world. Together with many other initiatives, this will help Singapore to advance its current top notch position over at least the next 20-30 years. Brilliant Job Singapore! Keep up these efforts!!!
Singapore is South East Asia's smallest country and it managed to be one of Asia's Tiger Economies. Terminal 4 just opened last year and Terminal 5 is on planning stage. Just wow.
Alonson Renovating T1 & T2 is an option, and that is like the budget terminal, close down and refresh. But, closing down would only affect the amount of tourists to reduce due to the lack of space. When that happens, our economic will slow down. As a result, we had to pay more taxes. With the current terminals we had, i can say its kind of lame. If some other country build an airport bigger than ours, GG for SG, and the whole thing i mentioned earlier will repeat. We definitely need a game changer terminal.
what always amazed me about singapore is that the goverment seems to always prepared things even their citizen not yet need it....... prepare in advanced so that you wont get lag behind.
Pause at 01:24. Pistol only or can be Pistol with a tactical shield, if on easy and normal didn't word easy and normal will be harder than hard and expert.
Changi should build more runways = 5 runways for more convenience for planes lands and take off without stuck on the air traffics which cause the delay.
The Future Terminal 5 can Combine the Project Jewel with building the Second highest indoor Voltex Waterfall just like the Jewel and Automatic Underground People Mover system like Hong Kong International Airport that has such system and interconnecting the other 4 Terminals.
Changi Airport is bigger than your city...all these reclaim lands taken to build this mega structure is bigger than your living space...what’s the point literally....
Lets say you build industrial zone in Changi, it had to be of a low headroom due to aircraft activities around. You wont even be able to utilise the place there effectively. Offices there. Offices in the City is 40 - 60 stories tall. You want that in changi? As mentioned earlier, no. City area. I dont see any empty lands left able to build buildings around the city.
N4M3LE55 nobody is asking you to build condos beside Changi airport...don’t be so ahead of yourself, and i’m not stupid. My point is the SG gov should spend on tackling the housing issue for their residence and also the issue with GST increased. What will be the potential impact on taxpayers and how is their future going to be with exponential growth of human population to reside in such a tiny land.
If make a toy aeroplane to block jetplanes that will be bombing s.g anyway 1 day like make alot to block the base and landing still can break around their road anyway? Behind Egypt at Johor. As someone who loves aviation, airports and airlines, I do hope that the upcoming Changi T5 will be luxurious, elegant, magnificent and has that business-like feels to the interior design just like (or even better than) T3. A little bit of concern that the so-called ‘environmentally-friendly stuff’ or ‘sustainability stuff’, though have their own merits, may have the potential to diminish the luxury and sense of awe to the terminal’s internal design, look, and therefore guests’ overall experience. As thus far, Changi airport is arguably the most impressive airport in Southeast Asia regions and perhaps in the world. An exceptional travel experience will also involve all of our five senses. For instance, having physical boarding pass, physical menu at restaurant / lounges, physical magazine or newspaper, full amenities, or other things that involve our sense of touch. In the end, truly I look forwards to the brand-new Changi T5 accompanied by its warmth service and hospitality that will be offered. Best regards to all stakeholders who will make this happen.
I love Changi airport. But let's face it. There is 5 terminals. In case there is a need to transfer between terminals, this will be a whole new issue, though not big as LHR. I'm also not quite a fan where the airport tax is increasing. Do I now have to pay a premium to transit through Changi? If that's so, Scoot airlines, which is predominantly owned by the government of Singapore, will suffer a lot.

enrico contreras araneta dude this guy's want to compete with Dubai and Qatar....but unfortunately Middle East guys have oil and they outclass always Singapore in aviation sector....sure this terminal will be a white elephant.....
Agree with you on KL and Bangkok. Manila?? Mega airport? Don’t make me laugh! FYI, Singapore is the 3th most visited country in SEA, just after Thailand and Malaysia. Shame on Indonesia and the Philippines for having such populous nation
enrico contreras araneta please.... Manila only handles 40 million passengers a year. But singapore handled 60 million passengers a year. You can’t conpare Dubai and singapore . UAE is bigger than sg
T5 will be paid by all people using the Singapore airports now.. let all short trips tourists to this island be known. i read that it is going to be about at least sgd 15 dollars for every departure from any terminals now. what a daylight robbery.
We don't need T5 at all. Definitely not building on the people's expense by making us pay in advance to raise fund. We should only pay when the terminal is ready. What stupid logic this people.
Money wasted on T5 can be better used by providing cheaper healthcare to our aging population. Also with longer range planes nobody needs to transit in Singapore anymore.
when I've arrived in changi terminal 1, most of gate are empty, but unfortunately, the immigration queue is too long, I think they should maximize the utilisation of the existing terminal, instead of adding new terminal,.. but it's good that Singapore have a good planning for future, but I think it's kinda waste of money... (better than Indonesian that waiting for overcapacity to build a new terminal) 😒
Improve your customer service first. Your immigration officers, check in counter staffs, and other staffs working at changi , especially singaporeans , need to go back to learn how to serve passengers the right way.
Rather than build more terminal I think Singapore government should take a look first the people's whose work there. if put the same people's with Same character and manner then just forget it.Same officers most of them there is just rude, ridiculous and discriminating. you should teach them some manner first,to be kind & good Heart people's to all visitors whoever them whose coming There not all about money money money ask how much money they have on pocket when there are arrived there before build luxury's with buried poor people's dreams& hope's. Not all people's in this world rich but all of them deserved to get dreams. as me too.
Good attitude is subjective. One man's meat is another man's poison. There are those who stand out well with others and those we simply cannot stand. This country is not what it is today through luck but good governance.
All these complaining about increased in Airport taxes, I doubt you even travel, if airport tax alone is burning a hole in your pockets, you shouldn't be travelling, you should be saving and investing. Singaporeans always wanting more for less.
I love Singapore. Such a small nation and we already got 4 terminals. Still building the 5th terminal which is going to be bigger then all 4 terminals combine. That's what we call terminal illness.

Improve your customer service first. Your immigration officers, check in counter staffs, and other staffs working at changi , especially singaporeans , need to go back to learn how to serve passengers the right way.
Any thing not permanent in world . All will be destroyed one day by Allah is a creator of earth and universe.
What's your point?
Piss off Saracen
Who's gonna destroy the world anyways?🤔
Wtf Dude!? You Shaming Islam.
Changi airport tax too much expensive after built
2 percent tax increase in two years made this possible
Rather than build more terminal I think Singapore government should take a look first the people's whose work there. if put the same people's with Same character and manner then just forget it.Same officers most of them there is just rude, ridiculous and discriminating. you should teach them some manner first,to be kind & good Heart people's to all visitors whoever them whose coming There not all about money money money ask how much money they have on pocket when there are arrived there before build luxury's with buried poor people's dreams& hope's. Not all people's in this world rich but all of them deserved to get dreams. as me too.
If there is a need, the Govt. will build it. Where is the money for it coming from? - careful budgeting - taxes and debt issuance.
"We ride the Lion plane thing ah!"
"Go to Terminal 367 lah."
Good country, good technology but the people there lack of good attitude.. Needed to be improved...
Good attitude is subjective. One man's meat is another man's poison. There are those who stand out well with others and those we simply cannot stand. This country is not what it is today through luck but good governance.
What?!?!?! 5?! I though it's done?!?!!?? WHY SINGAPORE!
LOL GAMER sg got terminal disease
@@ranee4849 some countries have more than 5 terminals
The fuckkk. Why dont KLIA2 copypaste the Changi Platform.
Syaf Alan u need to pay higher taxes to enjoy that kind of service dude...
David Lee oooo since before singapore pay high tax?
Syaf Alan 7% is nit good enough for you?? How about 9%??
You can't do that
Meanwhile...
All these complaining about increased in Airport taxes, I doubt you even travel, if airport tax alone is burning a hole in your pockets, you shouldn't be travelling, you should be saving and investing. Singaporeans always wanting more for less.
don't worry about them, they have pea brains
Even if they don't travel, they still have to pay airport taxes.
TerrisOngJianLong1 The extra taxes are imposed on the flight tickets you dumbass
Even if they don't travel, they still have to pay airport taxes.
Anyways u still have to spend ur money and one cannot bring their money into their grave
