To tell a story about the Japanese in WW2, my grandfather was in the Royal Navy (british navy) and was serving as a cook on his boat the HMS Dovey, a river class Frigate, there was one day they were out in the Pacific Ocean where they came across a Japanese boat (unknown model or crew) that was full of slaughtered POWs now this was a common thing but unfortunately what they found was more uncommon and showed the true ruthlessness of the Japanese during WW2 this boat was full of mostly children that had been slaughtered by the Japanese, that's all we know of the story, I imagine this is an image that stuck with my grandfather for the rest of his life and no one should ever go through that, I salute him for his service forever.

My father fought in the Pacific in WW2. He told me stories about when he was hit by a kamikaze aircraft and shipwrecked on New Guinea. And he told me about hearing Tokyo rose on the radio saying everybody on the ship that he was on was gone! Can't remember the name of the ship!

Great grand father had his head cut off by the Japanese in front of his family. They had hid all the gold in tins and buried them under coconut trees. The Japanese went around poking the ground with their bayonets and found the tins. Then made my great grand father dig his own grave then cut his head off and kicked his body in. His body was still standing when they kicked him in. My grand mothers said it was with a bayonet but I reckon they used a samurai sword. But all this happened nearly 100 years ago, so I don't walk around with stupid hate towards anyone. Also I use the cake tins the Japanese left behind to bake cakes in! Literally I use cake tins from ww2! Great tins!

Gosh, man. You really don’t see private collection museums like this anymore.
I’ve been to a few of the big military museums before and they didn’t all have this much equipment displayed as nicely.
There’s just something wonderful about the commitment to preserving history it takes to build a collection like this by oneself in order for other people to learn.

As a German, I have to say that you would NEVER see such an extensive collection in Germany. I visited Dachau and didn't see nearly as much Nazi stuff there as in this private museum! I'm not proud of our past, but seeing such a collection in real life would give many people even more understanding of how terrible that time must have been. Likewise, one would certainly end up behind bars for such a collection here for some time, especially for Zyklon B.

Considering he has what appears to be live ammunition on display as well as cyanide and Zyklon B. I would think he has to have regular visits by the fire marshal and the ATF to make sure his fire codes and handling practices are all above standard, so I’d assume he’s got an overkill auto fire suppression system

Great museum, beside Iwo Jima before Nagasaki& Hiroshima, I hope more Historians mention unit 731, a japanese unit who did more en masse evil experiments than the SS. Amazing we are all still here after so much evil was unleashed in WW2, seems the only way forward is universal treaties& vmuch respect to all those that made& enforce those Treaties.

@@dayday6829 what are you on about?, you don't know me. Iam part ukrainian, polish& Russian& Putin+ Xi Jinping whom you likely are threatening WW3. Like most in the west I was against the invasion of Iraq which I was arrested protesting it as it was not UN sanctioned, but UN should have sanctioned it really as Saddam massacred 100,000s directly like marsh arabs, kurds& shia +his son Uday raped& murdered young girls.Afghanistan was sanctioned enough, even Russia gave its blessing after 911& civilians were not directly targetted in either except by small rogue units whereas with Putins forces its policy like CCP China with Uighirs, tibetans or falun gong who they kill quietly in camps& sell their body parts, Mao actually colluded with Imperial Japan to destroy ROC China now ROC Taiwan. Send me a postcard of you enjoying life in country under their authority without any free world culture like North Korea.
