Great progress so far, it’s the little jobs that seem to take the most planning and cost the most not just in £ but also in time. With all that rubble it might be over 2000 tones.
That crusher is amazing! Loved the engineered details like the magnet and manoeuvrability - very wel thought out design! Weight wise I reckon 246 tonnes!
Hi couple of points , i would very suprised if the crusher jaws are on the tightest settings looking at the size of the finished product ( closing the jaws really slows the rate at which you can crush ! ) because you have such large lumps in the crushed heap , you will find the more you try to move and level the stone the more you will end up with just big lumps/ nobbles on the top , if you put a hose pipe on the heap before you use the crushed concrete you will find the fines stay mixed with the larger pieces , also when you vibro roll the material the fines will stay amonst the larger pieces and not get shaken down to the bottom , making a much tighter base , been doing this 30 years i hope this of help , i can not state enough the importants of having the crushed concrete water logged before you lay it , the same applies to road plannings , just try a small area you will see the difference ( do not add water to lime stone or chalk ! ) hope this is helpful good luck with your prodject
Yeah I imagine it could do smaller. We have plenty of virgin stone to dust which is much smaller to lay on top of track but will definitely wet it down when we move this lot and get it rolled. 👍
192 tons. The cost benefit vs removal and then buying type 1 back in must be impressive, but the environmental benefit of recycling it all is fantastic!
980 ton all in is my guess, those piles are going to make a fair few tracks 😅 Wouldnt like to think just how much money you would have saved by crushing it, cost to remove it would have been eye watering never mind buying any of it back in again later!
