0:17 As someone that drives trains for a living, I can 100% say that no matter how much blowing the horn may make a young railfan jump, they always laugh it off and get right back to taking their picture. One of the best feelings ever seeing kids do the horn honking motion. My dad was a truck driver and got the same thing that I do now. Makes the job a million times better and puts a smile on my face!

When I was a child, I made a mother's day candy bag for her. She was appreciative and I was happy until I heard her just chomp on one of the jolly ranchers just like that guy. I was extremely concerned for her teeth and vowed to never give her candy again.

If they’re really new then they’re super brittle, so all you need to do is put them between your back molars and bite, they shatter into a couple dozen tiny pieces pretty easily.

I've seen the halt of air traffic after 9/11 before and it always impresses me. The conversations from air traffic control as they figured out what was going on before it even happened is really interesting too.
There was also a story about a bunch of people that were stranded in this small Canadian town on 9/11. The people of the town banded together to care for everyone, feed them, and give them a place to stay. The one good thing about tragedies is how everyday people come together to do extraordinary acts.
I know one day the twins will come back. There's still unoccupied room in the plaza big enough to fit new, better versions of them. We let the terrorists win, then we let a rich guy win despite the public vote of building plans all saying bring the twins back. The memorial plan was better too. The fountains don't even match the footprints! But I suppose they're there permanently now... but at least it's not too late to bring the twins back. In fact it never will be. There's another building planned to overlap the potential Phoenix south plot, but even if that building gets fully constructed and occupied, fuck it. Bring it down. They can occupy the new twins instead.
It’s really interesting listening to pilots talk about it too, my parents ran a flight school for a short time and when 9/11 happened my dad was starting up the airplane with a student when the tower told them the ENTIRE US airspace had been closed and they couldn’t take off. They went into the fbo to watch the news with the 3 other pilots. It was cool to see all the planes suddenly stop in the video I had never actually seen that before.

I rmember hearing a story about an American working in Germany during 9/11 and they pulled him out of his meeting to tell him what was going on. He said that one of his friends worked in the world trade center, so the entire building called her nonstop until someone got a hold of her and made sure she was safe. Meanwhile everyone gave him blankets, food and kind words.
