I love how they refer to each other as Mr. Vincent and Mr. Dandrige.....they’re trying to kill each other, BUT they’re still being cordial while doing it.
Roddy is so damn good in this, finding that faith in a moment that had eluded him moments before, the look of horrors of the shadow melting into confidence of the divine is top notch.
Just saw a recent movie with Dracula in the year 2023. It was not even 1% as good as this movie. They forgot to make Dracula look like a man and made all the victims too dumb to resolve an easy situation.
that because corporate investors, hadn't got tentacles into film market till the 90s after that it started go down hill, the big studios shunted or chase all independent studios out the market, or shut them down, to avoid competion.
@@scarystuff1534 yeah the 90s were last good ride, and early 2000s, then corporate investors rather than studio owners were ones made all decisions on what gets made and how, thats why, all films suck balls now. Cause producers are ones that have the power not studios, in case you all wondering.
Brilliant movie, still holds up today. Great characters & actors portraying them. I really enjoyed the remake which featured a cameo from Chris Sarandon himself 👌
One of the best vampire movies of all time. The cast, writing, story is perfect. I would not change a thing. I enjoyed the remake but the original is another level entirely.
This was the scene that I wanted..And yes those green flames look like they hurt, dont they😌 Don't be afraid to let your light shine no matter who doesn't like Mr. Vincet got gangster in this scene😂
This one is so much better than the remake. Perhaps I'm just partial to movies from my generation. Most of the time the remakes of the good old ones just don't measure up. The acting never seems as good, and they rely way too much on special effects.

A few questions, maybe Tom Holland can chime in one day... 1. What is the "So" about? 2. How did they explain to the Police Evil Ed's dead naked body in Charlies House? Obviously, there is a huge hole in his chest. 3. Was Dandrige really a bad man? It seems like Charlie was the asshole in this movie, and Dandrige was just protecting his interests. Apparently, he wasn't interested in shitting where he was eating, or resting. 4. Why is Roddy so good in this movie? Absolute master
Wait a minute, you cant see the vampire in the mirror, he cant drink holy water, but he can enter in a house without being invited. That is a shitty investigation by the writer
I hate part 2 but I really hate the reboot so part 2 is ok with me just really hate his hair and and he doesn’t believe she a vampire hello you killed her brother in first one 😒
I love how they refer to each other as Mr. Vincent and Mr. Dandrige.....they’re trying to kill each other, BUT they’re still being cordial while doing it.
Loooool
Showing mutual respect. Even though they are enemies.
Especially taking in to account the fact in his movies Peter Vincent calls a vampire "Spawn of Satan".

You can’t get better than the 80s for horror movies
Some of the best films ever made was in the 80s still to this day

Sounds like hip hop in the early 2000's
No Doubt
Hell no.
An under rated semi-masterpiece.

One of the best horror flicks I’ve seen!
Gotta love that sound effect when the bat knocks over the statue bust.
Met Chris Sarandon and Tom Holland this weekend at Scarefest. Such great people.
I love this one I was a kid
Saying that one needs to have faith for it to work is not smart. That confirms that faith is true and so would "make" him have faith.
Another Philosophy Major heard from. The Vampire has faith. He is on the other side, the Fallen.
Wouldn't that be the complete opposite of faith? You don't trust a fact it just is.
Faith is believing as if you already know for certain. Not an easy thing to achieve.
Faith can move mountains.
I've seen the reboot and the effects may be better, but the original is still the best. David Tennant is great, but against Roddy McDowell?

I hated the remake....grade 4
I love the 2011 movie, definitely one of the better remakes out there.
But the original is an absolute classic.
*"SoooooooooooooooooHHHHHHHH"*
🤣 I was waiting for him to say something after SOOOOOOOOO

Ahhh memories
this Dracula version could be one of the best comedian I love 👏🏼👏🏼

Mr. Vincet got gangster in this scene😂
Peter Vincent protected charlie a couple of times from danger in the movie
This movie is so great, and this scene is AMAZING!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘👍👍💪💪
Notice how those clock frequencies control the demons
Can't believe they thought they could remake this without Roddy McDowall.
I mean, at least we got Chris Sarandon to come back as a cameo in the 2011 Fright Night reboot movie.
2:31, Mr. Vincent has some Wolverine-like healing!
He was Wolverine's father, Sabretooth.
@@EBUNNY2012 Sabertooth was his brother
Good effects
Remember watching this with my mum and dad and ended up under the blanket hiding 😂😂😂😂😂

One of the greatest Films ever hell even the 1989 Sequel that nobody remembers was ok
Let's face it, this VHS movie was what you saw on the shelves every time you entered Blockbuster Video. 😆
Great 80s movie. I remember watching it on HBO and being afraid to go to sleep after watching it...I have no idea why as an adult lmao....
SUPER FILM
Hey you want to come back to my place?
Next morning: sooooooo!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would also point out the novelization goes into greater details in the story and is quite quite good...
Prince Humperdinck: To the death!
Wesley: No! To the pain!
Prince Humperdinck: No! To the vampire!
Wesley: What?
Prince Humperdinck: What?
Jerry Dandridge: No! To the Skellington.
Wesley and Humperdinck: (in unison) What?
Remembuuuuuuuuuh!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would love a remake of this movie. One of my favorites
there is a good one

The Best Ever !
Now that's acting from Roddy McDowell. With one look he shows the entire audience his faith and the cross works on the vampire
They actually thought this wouldn't be a hit at the theaters, I can see why they were wrong.
How nice of the vampire to remind him how to use the cross. 😅
Repeatedly! He says it multiple times to them! It's my only complaint about this movie. XD
🧛♂️ gee thanks Stephen King 🙄
@@Reprodestruxion I don’t think Stephen King had anything to do with this one.

Good. It's About Time.
It became a comedy 😂😂
Pause at 1:08 .
That’s a Muppet. You can’t unsee it.
Shoutout to the main villain reminding one of the main characters on how to defeat him 😊
Why did the vampire tell Vincent how to make the cross effective towards him? Too funny
coz the vampire bet he wouldn’t have the confidence to make it work😮

I first watched this when I was 10...it scared me to death.. Still gives me the crips
1:06 😂
I had to fake my age to be let into the cinema to watch this. The original VHS version is now worth quiet a bit
today watch funny in the time when it comes out and we watch it it was the actual horror franchise
To quote one of my favorite authors Laura K Hamilton: An atheist waving a Cross at a vampire is truly a pitiful sight.
0:25, morning hangover feeling like
I want to live in that house
1:49 You're out of time Mr. Dandridge
Even Charlie was bit.
That's true for all monsters you go up against. Don't ever go alone. Take Jesus with you everywhere. This is for all monster hunters to remember.
Ya haftar have faith for this to work mr. Vin-sent! Remembahahaha?

*Donde puedo verla?"
This is so bad - it's hilarious!
How is this bad? This movie is a masterpiece of the genre
Wait...doesn't that make Charlie a vampire now?
Yeah, but Dandridge dies at the end, so it nullifies the bite. Kill the vampire that bite you, and you're back to normal
@@gillz107 If only they hadn't killed Ed--he would've returned to normal!
I strongly feel that some someone encharge of the movie productions should try again at doing a reboot of (FRIGHT NIGHT) movie.
No...let’s just cherish the original

Who jumps through a window and shouts soooooo ?

Now that is the proper true form of a vampire, not the pretty boy bullshit that they showed in twilight.
