How does it make sense we still can't mint tradeable cards? It is clearly literally in everyone's interest it happens ASAP.
Is it really that difficult to find a layer 2 solution on the Ethereum network to get this done? I don't think it should be.
When weighing the benefits for ALL people involved in this, the obstacles to enable the forge must be that much bigger.

What can possibly be so problematic that we are left in the dark for so long? This is clearly the change we need to really get this game going right?

They built their own L2, IMX. It IS worrying to me that they have neglected the forge for so long. They're trying to get the new set out and $GODS token so there are more p2e mechanics, then the forge is next priority. IMX functionality is still coming online slowly but you are not wrong...it has taken them WAY TOO LONG
thanks a lot for this video, this was exactly what i was looking for! :) i started playing a few days ago and gods unchained was a lot of fun to me but then i saw the forge was closed and i was afraid i had no option left for making money with that game. Btw, are you able to get those rewards from normal ranked, too? you only mentioned the weekend-ranked-events
Yeah normal ranked you get Core packs every level and with no forge, it's not gonna get you any money

First time playing a card game I always was a fan of rpg's, but as I said first time playing card game and just LOVE IT. Can't wait for the next video and get better in this game. By the way I play like almost a week now am Twilight shadow now. The first days I was playing as much as I can to make more wins but I think that as you said the most important are the first 25games??? and after it's just a plus for me it can't affect my previous win rate or? First 25 games of each weekend. You get bonus packs for that.
Yes I know that, maybe I didn't pose my question well so... let's say I have a good score over 20 out of 25 games... I continue playing after and I tent to loose more than I win, will that affect my win ratings or anything else? Thanks again and sorry if my question was not clear :).
Ah, yeah it doesn't matter what happens after the 25 games for that weekend. If you get 30 wins in total (out of infinite games) you also get a bonus rare Divine Order pack

I just reached the diamond rank yesterday, can I earn some eth just to buy better cards and to become mythic ?
do you play like the minimum number of games required? like the 25 games required to earn the epic card or do i have to grind it out? im not particularly sure with how the weekend ranks works. all i know is if you hit at least the minimum number of games won over 25 games that is the card you will received. i havetnt made past over 3 epic cards which is sad but im willing to grind it out
Yeah you can stop whenever and get some rewards, you don't have to finish all 25 games

No, but if you want to come in the top 10 maybe. Otherwise grind out a bunch of Core cards, earn expansion packs on the weekend, and then you can make some pretty competitive decks.
@@CopperPitch Absolutely agree. I haven't spent a single buck on GU cards, just bought a few cheap cards I needed to get an Amazon deck going, only with the ETH that I earned from selling some that I don't need. I never found the time to get very serious with it but I was persistently Rank 9-10 with a deck that was super easy to build and I could've actually built it with $10-20 if I wanted to pay for it.

Expansion packs won't be ever listed on sale again right? Like you mentioned Divine Order packs - So does that mean the number of cards from that expansion will be scarce?
Somewhat, there will be $X minted this go around. They probably reserve the right to mint more in the future, but probably wouldn't ever. Genesis can never be minted again. Other sets *technically* can but probably never will be.

Wait, are ppl selling the packs and not ooening them selling whatever cards they get? I know the droprates prolly are shit but it would help u to get a decent deck for all gods to farm flux right?
You can't sell unopened packs. You open the packs and sell the cards
And how much have you spent buying cards/packs to get good enough decks to stay at the top in mythic ranked weekend?
It's hard to say, I have made it to Mythic as F2P which isn't hard to do, a bunch of us raced to see who could get there fastest and it took less than 24 hours to get there. Many people get there within their first week of playing. In terms of hitting 17 wins a week? Depends on the week, bc it depends on the meta. I know 2 f2p players who would hit 17+ consistently. Also depends on your definition of F2P. You can earn expansion packs for free, so you can get nearly all the cards you need for a nice aggro deck for free. Hard to play control as f2p as all the good board wipes/Demogorgons are in Genesis.
You forgot the free expansion pack for 30 wins in your calculation.
I play for 4 5 months and all my cards are worth 20$ all together :S i achieved mythic and lose almost every game becouse people keep dropping legendaries on me worth 100+ now i have no idea what i should do, derank or smth?

Things have changed drastically in so many ways. Probably time to do an update
help me out here i dont get it. The forge doesnt work, isnt that the way of minting and giving value to the cards? if so, theres no value in any card until they open the forge. Secondly, if I go to inventory on Immutable X theres nothing showing there, i do have 222 cards, 2 legendary (gold thing) and some epics with purple on the side. Some have locks others do not, i still cant see them on inventory to use in market. wtf
Core cards need to be forged. Expansion packs are already minted.

You can't sell unopened packs, you can sell the cards inside of them.

You need to request a withdrawal from the Immutable marketplace, then it goes to your Layer 1 Metamask wallet. Make sure you have money in MM for gas fees

With $50 USD, it would be... GU. I've heard Splinterlands is insanely pay2win, and although GU has some really expensive p2w cards, the new set is super cheap and VERY powerful. I don't know anything about plants vs zombies but for the one second I looked at it it didn't look fun

Looks like new players are left out because of other players who already have a nice card collection. Only 25 of the top ranked players are rewarded? Doesn't sound that exciting when there are hundreds or even thousands of players playing in the weekend. Anyway, giving it a go as the game is running, but not going to be playing in the weekend much. Connected the MetaMask, but not used for anything right now.
What??? Only 25 are rewarded, where'd you get that from? I literally show the reward charts.... EVERYONE who plays and wins gets rewards if you get enough wins.

This is even sadder to look now when we see for how much DO cards go on market...Your core card packs estimates are closer to DO card packs than the official prize of them.

I mean it's not a myth, I got 50 leggy packs for free, and maybe the average price for a leggy is $15, which is lower than previous sets bc they decided to print basically unlimited quantities which was dumb imo. But I still played a game and then sold cards I earned for free. No one is going to be playing a game and then making $60k/year, you have to be realistic
@@CopperPitch yeah you are correct, but ppl think that they will gain unlimited amount of money for no effort. The reality is that 99% of players won't get any significant amount of money
100% true. I think play2earn needs to be rebranded. Yes you can earn but it's unreasonable to think you can earn anything worth more than a small amount, especially if everyone is just there to sell and no one is there to buy.

I do a guestimate in the video but it's just a guess. It'll all come down to supply and demand AND maybe most important, if they add sinks. AKA. Ways to burn off excess cards. They've teased the idea of Evolution for a long time. For instance, they could say "burn 100 plain common cards, and you get this limited trinket / or promo card." Or things like that. Then the supply will stay lower and stay on pace with demand.

The guy in 20th place in the weekend ranked is completely welcome set and core only, went 20/25. (There may be others too, but I know who the guy in 20th is, you can go look at his decks on gudecks.com: Ungulate_NCP).
So it absolutely can be done. Play well and pay attention to the meta, and buying cards won't matter

I bought packs years ago but I have earned nearly everything since then. I get a lot of top 10s in the weekend tournaments though, just did it again this week out of 30k players! (Subtle flex) Point is, not everyone can earn as much as I do. But you can earn stuff for free if you are good. Can't play at the absolute highest level for free but you can get to Mythic for free.

Blessing of the Gods is going on right now, every week you can earn $GODS tokens. Last week the max got $57 worth of $GODS.

So... you play, get some card packs and somehow are even able to create cards i assume... well... what makes it worth anything? Cuz the simple fact the game claims something's worth anything does in no way mean it is actually worth anything. There has to be someone to buy the thing off of you for yourto be able to earn anything. No1 ever earns anything with these games unless they're actually able to cash out. It is rarely what they've been told their stuff to be worth tho.
I guess at least there's an actual game here.
Just go to tokentrove.com and look at the market. There's tens of thousands of dollars of sales a day (off the top of my head)

It seems the devs care more about making money than growing a positive , growing community. Making over powered cards is dirty marketing, they hope everyone will run out and buy the new decks to get these insane cards that will wipe you on turn 6. The fact that they put out new/ broken decks before the forge shows where their priorities are. Cards are not selling in fact more and more people are trying to get out but no one will buy their cards. They really need a new balance team that knows what they are doing and get the forge running asap if they want to save what little community they have left.

So how to sell expansion packs?
You sell the cards contained within once they are minted after balancing phase.

So with the new set, the cards can still be modified (nerfed and buffed). Trial of the Gods and Genesis are both locked for eternity. You wouldn't want to buy a Divine order card for $100 only for it to be nerfed 4 minutes later, so they have historically locked the trading of cards until balance is locked in. They MIGHT do it differently this time around but we don't know yet

Yes! With new expansions to come in the future. We know they said they already were working on the set after Divine Order so presumably it won't be a year inbetween sets again. Probably.

I show the charts in the video, you get Core packs (unminted) and Divine Order packs (minted) depending on how many wins. They may have had some issues sending out Divine Order packs but check their Discord. They post status updates when they send stuff out and there's an official spreadsheet of all the prizes you've earned

Gods unchained is pay to win, not play to earn, but i still like it.
Completely disagree. Pay to win MORE, or pay to win QUICKER, sure. (Quicker from the time of starting out, grinding out a core set does take a LONG time). But if you are patient and skilled you absolutely can earn packs, I watch people do it all the time!

Yeah, winning is required to earn. But you can also earn a $2.50 rare expansion pack for winning 30 games on the weekend, in any amount of games played. So you could have a very bad win rate and still earn.
