hey, thanks for everything you do. had a couple of questions. for 5b, did i have to talk about now they have the functional ag gene cuz i just said they were able to live in both cold 1.2C environments as well as warmer environments 5-10C so they had better genetic diversity. would that be enough for the point?
also 5d i just said that favorable traits would choose which habitat they live in, like a favorable trait would only help some in one specific habitst while some may have other favorable traiys for other specific habitats. it was kind of general/vague as i didnt talk abt the temperatures. woud this also be enough?

For d (I) and (ii) I said attaching CTF would not affect the number of copies of chromosome 8 because changing the frequency of crossing over only changes the frequency of recombination of genes not the segregation of chromosomes, so there will still be one copy of chromosome 8 in each haploid daughter cell. Is this still right? Because I forgot to consider the first line of the frq.

But if the chromosomes cannot segregate during anaphase then the daughter cell won’t be haploid in terms of chromosome 8.

For the post zygotic barrier question, could we have written allopathic speciation? The term is related to post zygotic speciation so I was wondering if that would work? For 3d, I wonder if the writers are looking for students to tell why the transporter is required as part of that justify. I wrote something about glucose being polar and requiring the GLUT protein to help it across the hydrophobic layer of the membrane in addition to the rest that you also wrote.

    • @apbiopenguinsinsta-review4538

    For 4c and 4d.
Could we have put that the introduction of ladybugs wouldn't have an effect on the abundance of the native bunchgrass population? (Like it'd just stabilize or have no change)
Reasoning: Even though the ladybugs would get rid of SOME aphids, they wouldn't get rid of them all and the buncgrass will continue to have a threat to the population (Though not as severe), allowing some (though not as much) to continue dying. The wild oat still remains dominant as it doesn't have any threats to it and it continues to outcompete the bunchgrass regardless.

For question 2 part d I’m a little confused because you said the proton gradient would increase in the inter membrane space, but wasn’t it asking for the effect on the inner mitochondrial membrane, and aren’t they 2 different things ? I thought that if the channel function of atp synthase was blocked h+ ions wouldn’t be able to go into and travel through atp synthase because it would be closed off, resulting in an increase in the proton gradient of the inter membrane space but a decrease in the proton gradient of the inner mitochondrial membrane because H+ can’t enter the atp synthase.

    • @jaredmccain-pm4rq
