      I'm a Texans fan and couldn't believe when the Panthers selected Bryce Young. I was at draft party and thought "We got us a Quarterback!", CJ has been even better than expected. I feel for Panthers fans and Bryce as well. Both are paying for the ineptitude of the front office. If I'm a Panthers fan I stop going to the games and I stop buying any merch. It's the only recourse available at the moment. Tepper needs to be put on notice. It's what Texans fans did. When the stadium is empty and the owner's bottom line is affected, changes will come. I have no doubt Frank Reich wanted CJ and was overruled by the owner. Football people need to be allowed to make football decisions or else why hire them at all. Tepper needs to just stick to signing the checks. Wishing the best for Panthers fans moving forward!

    I'm big fan of the team but the first thing he has to to do prove that he can be competent. That has yet to happen, we'll worry about the "franchise" thing when we get to that bridge to cross. There's one word that I've had come to mind more and more as I watch his play over and over: "shook". I think he may have taken too many hits over last season. During the season, he popped right up from most of them, and I think he got accustomed to them. However, after the season was over I'm thinking maybe he started feeling the after effects (both physically and psychologically). Then. he didn't take any hits for over 7 months. He flinched, ran, and winced at nearly every bit of pressure that came his was last Sunday and it affected his throwing. He threw off his back foot more than once, the first time being the first throw of the game and we know how that ended. It's not time for Andy Dalton, ok folks, so lay off that kind of talk. Bryce needs to stay in there, take his lumps, and hopefully he will progress along with Canales and the rest of the team, and the Saints game will be an outlier. If not, he will get benched when the time is right to do so, and they'll decide what to do with him from that point on. Either way, the next morning, you will probably still wake up and go about your day unaffected by what happens in any direct way. It's not your livelihoods on the line (unless you bet too much, in that case get help), so just enjoy what you can. Keep pounding, or keep quiet.

    Frank Reich knew what any objective fan new after week 4. He's little and he can't get the ball down the field consistently. He doesn't have elite speed so he's no threat to run. He doesn't have a cannon so he can't drop back 4 steps and rip it. His strength is suppose to be his intellect but I rarely see his audible out of a blitz. For the record Payton Manning his rookie season threw 26 touchdowns and was allowed to fail. Bryce threw 11 and was sheltered. If he's a franchise QB you have to throw him in the deep in. Now I fear it's too late.

    Great midweek vid, guys! Admittedly, I never expected to hear a Bryce Young to tofu analogy, though. 😅 As someone who's supported BY from the beginning, even in the midst of the bad performances and C.J. Stroud comparisons, I agree that he needs to step up and show why he was worthy of being the #1 overall pick last year. He's had moments of brilliance (the Christmas Eve game against Green Bay being his best so far), but those have been few and far between, unfortunately. However, if there is no sign of improvement this season, it might be time to move on to someone else, which I hope won't be the case.

  • @stayjustful

    I agree with y’all but I think that if Bryce is not the guy let home play this year and next year, while we get stable pieces in the draft that we need, then we can go out and draft a QB. That way we put the next QB in a good position. We can’t keep going after QBs, we have done that for 4 seasons and nothing to show for it. Also while doing this we have been giving up our core pieces, which has made us struggle even more.

    The screens were definitely to cover up the lack of arm strength. And plus they created lanes that don’t involve the line. Bryce gotta back up five yards - mind you, WHILE STILL IN THE PISTOL AND GUN - just to see his receivers. And the fact we can’t run pass plays from under center really makes our run offense predictable.

    I know everyone is impatient with the never ending rebuild, but we have never actually committed to it. Canales and Morgan seem committed to a rebuild and we need to give them time. Keep in mind Dan Campbell started 1-6 with the Lions in 2022.
    Regarding Young, there is no choice but to ride with him as the starter. One of two things will happen, he figures it out and we have a franchise QB, or he won't and we will have a high draft pick. The team isn't built well enough to be competitive for the playoffs right now, so starting Dalton isn't going to let us win enough to be worth the lower draft position.
    If Young doesn't show growth, the team can either think about drafting a replacement, getting a new project (Howell) or a bridge guy and draft a QB in 26.
    It was week 1, I know it's the annual overreaction week, but let's see where the team is by week 6 and reevaluate.

    These guys still don’t get it. You don’t draft a QB in April with the first pick🤦🏻‍♂️ you TRADE BACK for MORE PICKS and BUILD a TEAM. LOOK TO DRAFT A QB IN ‘26, ‘27. This roster is atrocious.
    Nor do you fire the coach after 1 year, regardless of how the team performs. We need STABILITY.
    Move off Bryce after the year, start Andy for a year or two , I really don’t care which veteran plays. We will stink. Then we hit on a QB after adding 5-6 1st and 2nd rounders over the next two years.

    • @CaptRR
      @CaptRR 6 дней назад

      Exactly! You have too many holes, and no talent. Unless the 25 draft has a generational talent (spoiler it doesn't) then you trade that #1 pick for more picks. You are basically rebuilding from scratch at this point.

      The roster looks the way it does because of him. They gave up a lot to get him. Then turned around and gave up even more to help him. He still sucks. They can't keep going like this. Besides, the offense is actually worth a little something. OL is there. WRs and RBs are there. TEs are there (though injured). Bryce is the problem. Poor presnap reads. Poor post snap reads. Can't see from the pocket. Lacks true arm strength so he can't plant his feet when he throws. Had to stand on his toes or jump. All of that affects overall accuracy too.

  • @mrjonsey
    @mrjonsey 7 дней назад +1

    Bryce needs a running game. He doesn’t have the size and arm strength to stand back there and beat you throwing 40 times a game. A scheme like the 49ers would do him wonders because he’s comparable to Brock Purdy imo

Rhule and Reich were never the answer but Wilks could’ve been. We didn’t give Baker the proper time or opportunity. It’s not like Bryce would’ve been a late round pick if we didn’t take him at #1 he has the skills to be great but the franchise has been so inconsistent it’s hard to properly evaluate him.
