Noelvi Marte has been taking up a bench spot all season so far for me with this suspension. I cannot wait to finally be able to put him in the actual lineup. The good news is, I will NOT have to drop anyone and add him from my NA list. (20 Team Dynasty League)

The problem is that the overwhelming majority of these prospects have been fools gold this year. I am in a very competitive 14 team league and Skenes was drafted so he has not been in play since draft day. My case in point is this. So far this year I have picked up Heston Kjerstad- BUST, Kyle Manzardo-BUST, Joey Loperfido-BUST, Cade Povich- KILLED ME!, Hurston Waldrep- DESTROYED ME! I have Jasson Dominguez and Cade Cavalli stashed on the IL so hopefully one of them will pan out. I had Wood stashed but had to make the hard choice of cutting him when Eovaldi came off the IL and someone else picked him up. After David Peterson pitches tomorrow I will make a move on Marte if he is still available but 2 weeks is an eternity to hold a player in this league. I can't remember a time in recent memory when virtually all of the can't miss prospects have been this disappointing. On a side note I picked up David Dahl LOL! He used to be a top prospect:)

Exactly. Just because a new guy is coming up, it's not 100% that you should go after him. This website and a lot of other similar ones say "pick up xxx because he's making his MLB debut". And that's the full reasoning for it - just so you don't miss out on the possibility he could be good. But, most of the time, it's not necessary to jump so quickly. These websites should know better but they are producing content and a new guy is content even if he probably will suck.

@@dt8787 That is part of the fun but you have to be lucky and good. I won the championship in 2019 when I caught lightening in a bottle with rookies Pete Alonso and Yordan Alvarez. Talk about two great rookie years with a combined 80 home runs between them. The flip side was in 2021 when I drafted Jarred Kelenic who was the can't miss prospect and I sat on him for weeks until they brought him up after the super 2 passed only to drop him a few weeks later because he sucked wind so bad LOL!

@@GMan-pi4or Hey man, you are talking to the expert on drafting guys who "might become good". I am always jumping on these guys. All I was saying is sometimes it doesn't work out and maybe it might be prudent to be more conservative. My problem is just the opposite. I want to be the guy who wins the league because I picked up Aaron Judge before anyone else (which I did). You are preaching to the converted. All I'm saying is I have jumped way too much way too soon a lot.

@@dt8787 I get it. We are all trying to get ahead of the pack which is what content like this is about. All I am saying is from my perspective I just don't remember a year where every cant miss prospect like Holiday, Langford etc... have all been such monumental busts. Skenes looks great but after that...? I am 7-4 and tied for 1st so I am in a good position. I lost Josh Jung when he was my best player starting out the year so hopefully he comes back strong in July which would be like found money at this point. Julio Rodriguez has been a disappointment as my 1st round pick but I am hoping his usual 2nd half surge kicks in. I am from the south side of Chicago and a White Sox fan so my fantasy team is the only thing I have to root for at this point LOL! Good luck the rest of the year.

The entire Braves lineup outside of Ozuna is brutal. You have to think they take off eventually, too talented.

i feel like he's just barred into AAA unless a injury happens to soto judge or verdugo, the yankees want him to get at bats not be stuck in a back up role. if you have the spot though i would most certainly stash him
