@Grimmjack69 asmongold did a video about it a month ago, but basically, they did an economy change and made it even more pay-to-win and shafted the player base that isn't full of money. They claimed to do it "for the players" and, after receiving pushback, gaslit the community that it was their fault. The negative review bombing is still going strong, too. Tl;Dr Gaijin messed up their in-game economy to be more PTW and blamed the community when it wasn't received well.

Here's my thing, the maid slept with Paul knowing his relationship status. Zenith didn't hold the maid accountable AT ALL, As far as the hentai protag argument, if you are in a harem why would you possibly get mad that other women get pregnant you as a woman signed up for this possibility (I undesirables this doesnt world for Paul's case)

Mushok Tensei is both "YOU THAT AWESOME CHARACTER YLWE JUST INTRODUCED? they're gone now." But also: "HEY, YOU DINT REMEMBER THAT AWESOME CHARACTER FROM TEN *VOLUMES* AGO? well they are important now."
Mushoku Tensei is the reason for the Isekai boom over the last decade, and the reason it didn't have an anime until recently is due to the author refusing to give the rights to any studio not willing to put Mushoku Tensei as top priority, which is also why the Studio Bind was created to primarily focus on Mushoku Tensei, and not be burdened by the Parent Companies' production schedules and issues
I am so glad that this anime exists. The fact that we get an isekai with a protagonist that is NOT a self-insert in this day and age is astounding already. Couple that with good character development, fantastic worldbuilding, and some great animation, and this anime became one of my favorites easily

This is a really good series and my favorite isekai. It does have slow stretches since it covers Rudeus entire life. You see him after his second birth and we see how he dies. What I like is that Rudeus is not a MC you can just insert into. Rudeus may be garbage but he is his own character with his many flaws and his only redeeming quality, he is determined to try this time. He will never be a perfect person but he will end this life ahead of his last one.
Pretty much every Isekai written after can be summarized as: "Mushoku Tensei, but I make the main character boring, BUT I skip out all the boring parts of the story like him practicing his powers enough to be strong and everyone else's none protagonist centered narratives!"
Plus he only becomes like the 5 strongest person in the world and doesn't just become the number one even some of his kids become way stronger then him
Except he doesn't really become a better person beyond the surface level, the show just makes more and more excuses for him. It never demonstrates true personal growth in terms of understanding why what he did was wrong or the ways he hurts others. And ultimately it still pulls the same BS as other bad isekai just with extra steps, in terms of him being OP and nonsensical handling of character relationships. It's *slightly* more nuanced than the average modern isekai sure, but that bar is so low you'd need an excavator to find it.

I don’t see these excuses though, he just simply doesn’t do these things again, the anime opts to leave out his internal monologues on these things and also character POV’s and how they view things. And anime tones down some other characters actions, though not really Rudeus. Plus music can be very misleading. Also it missed explanation of touki, and now currently they missed their last chance to do that. This is so important and ties into a weakness Rudeus has and how strong swordsmanship is. Also anime making dumb slight changes for no reason, the most dumbest is in episode 1. Rudeus can’t sexualize breast feeding, his body was not old enough to feel attraction/even if it was, he can’t feel attraction like that towards family. Or to anybody way younger than his age really. Then they leave in his internal monologue for some basic stuff, jokes and in pervy scenes. Well the in the real monologue thing is just inconsistent. But they also can’t have all of them in, atleast have very important ones in… This cour has been fine so far honestly, besides a few small changes. And also just some worse designs. Also got rid of Rudy’s drip that he consistently wore, because it is pretty cold where he is at lol Biggest thing I look forward to with the anime is Psyculturists, “Psychologist reacts to Mushoku Tensei.” That is always fun and interesting, long and sometimes like a lecture, sometimes he gets things wrong, sometimes he gets things right. But it is very interesting.

Abridged series of Mushoku Tensei in this format is quite funny. Passes through the drama and focuses on the funny moments as well as including important parts of the story brief detail
In fairness to Kishirika, she's an endless reincarnating demon. She dresses scantily because that's how she dressed as an adult, so its how she continues to dress as a child, because she doesn't care what other people think. Plus, she doesn't exactly have a lot of funds, so she might not even be able to afford more clothing.
That is an in-universe explanation, and it isn't a good response to criticism of authorial decisions. The author chose to portray someone who looks like a child in revealing clothes. The in-universe justifications for that choice don't change the fact that it was, in the end, the authors decision to portray her like that.
The novel is GODLY! I am actually incredibly happy with the way they have handled the anime thus far, and it will likely be my favorite of all time of they keep this up.

something that i think this show weirdly nails is it's pacing, episodes feel like they cover so much but never to much or to little and are usually always moving forward by the end.

What made jt good to me was him constantly having his feelings hurt and he decides that hes gonna push for a happy relationship with his friends and family instead of the one he did have even abondonding his only friend becuase they pushed him to do better in life. Now that he knows how much better it can be he foghts for it. While others shows the character just goes with the flow and the flow makes them inhumanly powerful and just gives them things.

With there being 7 elves or elf hybrids and 8 beastfolk(Counting Sylphie one for each one)The last two being Dwarves and Hobbits. Talhand being the first dwarf we see of three, and Cliff being the only Hobbit hybrid we see. edit: actually it's 8 elves because of Sylphie's uncle and 2 hobbits.

I mean, I know it's a parody, but Lilia (unnamed maid of Paul and Zenith) is kinda a major character in the events that happen later and that stems from the fact Rudy convinced Zenith to blame Paul and embrace Lilia as part of the family. Specifically, the expedition to save Lilia and Aisha directly leads to the confrontation with Orsted that nearly killed Rudy.
11:17 As I mentioned in another post, honestly I would argue he is a "middle aged man", because Rudeus started isolating in his room as he began as a high school freshman. He was literally just a teenage pervert, so it would be hard to apply this label on him when he himself died mentally as a youth. All his age did to help him is mature more emotionally, he has no adult mentality to speak of nor the experience to support it.
Fun fact, Rujerd didn't step in between the confrontation with Rudy and Ed (that his canon name and you will not convince me otherwise) until he noticed that Rudy was about to reenact the Great Flood on the whole damn town.

something that i think this show weirdly nails is it's pacing, episodes feel like they cover so much but never to much or to little and are usually always moving forward by the end.

What made jt good to me was him constantly having his feelings hurt and he decides that hes gonna push for a happy relationship with his friends and family instead of the one he did have even abondonding his only friend becuase they pushed him to do better in life. Now that he knows how much better it can be he foghts for it. While others shows the character just goes with the flow and the flow makes them inhumanly powerful and just gives them things.
Absolutely need more mushoku tensei especially since season 2 is coming

Sylphie is a half human quarter elf, quarter beastfolk and serves as the audience's intro to non-human/demon other races as she's both of the main popular races that exist. With there being 7 elves or elf hybrids and 8 beastfolk(Counting Sylphie one for each one)The last two being Dwarves and Hobbits. Talhand being the first dwarf we see of three, and Cliff being the only Hobbit hybrid we see.
edit: actually it's 8 elves because of Sylphie's uncle and 2 hobbits.

Specifically, the expedition to save Lilia and Aisha directly leads to the confrontation with Orsted that nearly killed Rudy.

11:17 As I mentioned in another post, honestly I would argue he is a "middle aged man", because Rudeus started isolating in his room as he began as a high school freshman. He was literally just a teenage pervert, so it would be hard to apply this label on him when he himself died mentally as a youth. All his age did to help him is mature more emotionally, he has no adult mentality to speak of nor the experience to support it.
I would even argue that he didn't mature emotionally at all, probably became desensitized by the passage of age
