How many times does it need to be said: Rashford plays better on the right wing!!! Cutting inside from the left is too easy to stop with an extra defender. Playing on the right allows him to utilize his primary threat in 1v1 situations, as no help defender can come in time. From the right, he can use his pace to drive by the defender and shoot. He can also take a touch outside and shoot. He also can deliver better crosses this way.
This also opens up the cut inside for left-footed shot, which will be more open, more often since he will have established a primary threat on the outside and in behind. Now on the left, his inside cut gets shut down by help defenders too easily, and when he gets behind the defender, he can't shoot with his left and is poor technically at getting a good cross in.
This defence compared to last season is disgraceful
