Jony Ive Reacts to Movie Portrayals of Steve Jobs
He always talks as if he is introducing the hottest new shit out there
He should be one of the voices for siri
TheSicarius absolutely correct
Sounds like the Londoner in Wayne's world 2.
Apple would convince him to do this. His voice is so satisfying to hear.
you mean he speaks like a robot? :D
I want Jony to narrate my life
Is that a buttonless button-up shirt?
Jony, would you like ketchup or mustard on your fries?
Jony: ......In life...... there are....... so many that view...... the design........ of such things and...... to me..... in my own view, it creates the vision that...... so many things lend themselves to our own point of view.
Nikki Wright hahahaha true. But he is well spoken. Unnecessarily used words tho...
Hehe, nicely done with the pauses. Design is more than just drawing and I hope people realise it. Its logic mixed with emotion bundled to give you a good product. In Anything, and I think that also reflects in the relationship with Steve and Jony. Their relationship as best buds and as a team of extraordinary talent is how the iPhone and even the PC was reborn. That's why he finds it so hard to narrow it down to a question and hence the (......) pauses.
Dead😂
Jony: On my fries? Get that mustard outta my face.
reminded me of don draper
He really does talk like he does in the Apple commercials.
Screw Morgan Freeman, he should narrate everything.
lets not get disrespectful 😆 there is room for both
@@oneloveonebeing Yeah, I am not sure why people have become so Binary. What makes us special as humans it that we can thrive in a world full of options and grey areas. This binary mentality needs to go.
@@oneloveonebeing I totally agree
Morgan Freeman is every bit of a legend as Steve Jobs. You take Black Actors like him for granted!
My question would’ve been “CAN YOU SAY ALUMINUM ONE TIME FOR THE PEOPLES”
AJ Johnson lol
Steve was very good to my family. When my mother was in the hospital he sent flowers. I don't think Markkula did.
When my father moved into a new building for his company, Steve was there in support. I don't think Markkula was there for that either. Markkula did send my sister a very touching gift for her bat-mitzvah though. And Woz was amazing in other ways.
Steve had heart. It's just people whom don't care deeply about things can't understand that.
mate ive checked your quora profile out with many of the questions answered. So very insightful and very interesting to read about what Woz and Steve were like.
What is your relationship with Steve?
he denied his daughter though...
@@user-qi3hf8ko3q well he was just a kid around 21-24 when he had liza. And he was building Apple, as much as he loves her. He just couldn’t be with her. Even though I know financially speaking he didn’t help. I am not defending him obviously it was wrong, he even said it to her that he regrets all of it when he was on his deathbed
steve beats his wife
He's resisted American culture so well...
I think Jason Statham could play as Jony Ive,if he want to challenge himself to a new whole peak of acting, not in action any one.
Agreed
D'yno'I'mean?
ts not peakx, no such thing as new or not,
jason statham is a good actor n like his movies but for him to portray someone like jony ive it's gotta me more than just looking like him. jason has a very cockney british voice that when you hear him speak you know who that is, bcos he's got a much louder tone he would have to deepen that voice, much deeper to sound like jony.
😆
Is anyone else saddened that all the top comments about his voice and delivery and none about what he is actually saying?
So true. This is a testament to the pop culture he mentioned. People are just too shallow.
" saddened "
The iconic Jony Ive voice!
Wow! You are one of a kind Jony.
He's like introducing a new product whenever he talks.
"I'm sorry to sound a bit grumpy about it"
*this is your grumpy voice?!*
His voice is buttery smooth
He said he doesn't like it in the politest way possible
Any way to see the full video?
I’m with you 200 % Thank you !
exactly that s why i never wanted to watch the movie after i saw the first ads. I wasn't friend with Jobs but i listened to all his interviews, talks online a number of time with all my ears .. and still i know too that he is not what is featured and such a shame that they spend millions of making something that they dont know anything about it. careless mass. Jonny you say too that: whatever is made around us speaks to who made it. whether it is made driven by price and schedule and opportunism, or driven by care and genuine interest to make lives better. i would have only loved to work with people like this.
Well that's bollocks. Wozniak himself said it was accurate with the way Jobs behaved. Lots of Jobs fans didn't like it because their "God" was betrayed to be the arsehole he was or could be.
I think Jony Ive should do asmr videos.
you need headphones for asmr
@@oof8850 thats a good one
Male Siri ASMR 😂
A loyal friend, if ever there was one.
Yeah, but WHICH movie is he talking about? The *good* one or the Ashton Kutcher one?
I would say Danny Boyle's film is not about an agenda. It is a simple story about a flawed man embracing fatherhood. All the technology and business is ultimately tertiary in the story. If he had seen the film, he might have grown to appreciate that.
Danny Boyle is one of my fave filmmakers ever. David fincher was the first choice but he requested 10M salary plus full control of the project, universal opted out.
I loved the film! The portrayal of the humanization of someone that wanted everything to be perfect because of his insecurities, his adoption, that became to realize how flawed he was.
Aaron sorkin is a genius!
Danny Boyle has a style that amazes me!
This film deserved much more than it got
I wish they hadn't called it Steve Jobs then. It's too easy to confuse the real man with the fictional character that shares his name.
I watched the film. And I read the book. They are about two different people. I agree with Jony.
Thank you, John ขอบพระคุณครับ
Well said. Bravo
You can tell he’s really hurt by this question
i thought he was announcing the new iphone. wow that voice
Great answer by Jony
I wonder if Jonny has bumped into Michael Fasbender since the movie was released... Awkward!!
Maybe I don't want to see the image of these guys in their little billionaire's club polishing each other's "images". Yeah, nothing in the movies is real, and not much of the made up stuff rings true, or is in there for any reason other than it sells tickets, or they hope it will, but Silicon Valley, where I live, has a very toxic culture in these companies, and Jobs is not the only one, but people like him set the tone and lead by example. But then there is Wozniak on the other end of the pole - kind of a spineless lump that is talented. The movie had something to say ... think about it for 2 minutes and forget it.
He should be reacting to portrayals of Dieter Rams
I do agree with Jony the movie protraying to remember Steve Jobs will not be good to Steve Jobs family, friends and loved ones.
Verbose doesn’t quite cover it
He must mean the Ashton Kutcher film because this video came out before the Fassbender film had even released.
I’d be very surprised if that was the case because the Ashton Kutcher movie made Steve into an absolute saint and it seems very clear that Jony is touching on the rougher edges of a Steve portrayal.
I wish Tony Fadell would be given the same credit as Jony for the success of the iPod. It was the Engineering that was impressive on the iPod and less the aesthetics. I like all these dudes, but I feel that the narrative is heavily biased towards Jobs and Ive. Also, Woz is often portrayed as Jobs' sidekick. The bottom line is that the whole narrative is screwed.
This guy and Sean Bean could have a career in ASMR
How is that a career?
@@Avalangard No it wasn't. You meant it. I don't think you know what a joke is, or what career means or who Sean Bean is.
Seriously, we're feeling sorry for Steve Jobs now? Every worker Jobs (and a million other big-headed managers) ever interviewed got "defined" by other people and you might also get cussed, labeled and booted But they had to just suck it up. Jony, please visit earth!
The Primal Pitch WTF ???????
While none of them had a movie on them. See the difference? Its quite big.
& then I remembered the statement, "No Jony, u r so vain." U told us that he told u this, & now r telling us that he was no what the movie tells us who he truly was?🙄
Those people having anything to do with a movie know nothing of Mr. Jobs.
What was the movie called?
Of course the goof next in line is on his phone, looks just like a Starbucks.
I guess I just saw Shervin Pishevar !
If johny Ive a British.. he got the accent that's why we here aluminium in that way.. he is brit or he has live there for long..
Face it Steve used to humiliate the crap out of people and the stories are numerous starting with WOZ. Yet he did mellow and shift a bit with age. So the question is, why focus on others, what Legacy are YOU gonna leave behind?
What?
He basically said nothing
barry harvell he said he did not recognize Steve Jobs in the movie.
Yeah, his dyslexia is well-known. Not so sure about the autism part though. Can’t seem to find anything about that on Google. Whether he’s on the spectrum or not, we should cherish this man’s intelligence, even if he may not be as coherent as some would like.
GOD Yeah but that doesn’t really go into any detail. Anyone could say that. And lots of people have. What he said was self explanatory, done and said by other people, and offered no insight despite him being friends with Jobs for like 15 years.
Is it a struggle because he was portrayed to be the arsehole he was? I assume he didn't say that about the other movie where he was portrayed to be perfect.
I think if Steve had any issues with it he wouldn't of let the book be written about him also. The book showed his flaws and even his wife said those should be included.
I wasn't a fan of Steve Jobs, the Steve Jobs movie was better than the Jobs movie as at least the former showed his flaws. Steve Wozniak said the Steve Jobs movie was more accurate than the Jobs movie.
You're the shithole Sir Johnny Ive is talking about....
Ive had a skewed impression of Steve. As with all narcissists, they either adore you or trash you, depending if you are useful to them or not. It's that simple.
Walter Isaacson wrote the authorized biography of Steve. Walter claims the only thing Steve wanted editorial control over was the cover art, but then said later in the interview he got caught in the “reality distortion field” when writing it. He basically admitted he was manipulated.
And the book written by Lisa Jobs was quite revealing about what kind of a person Steve was.
He didn’t like it I take it
@1:01 And you can also mold your public image to the point where you control it and it's BS.
0:28 and then 1:12 lol
Bruh?
Noah Wyle, Ashton Kutcher or Michael Fassbender?
no such thing as sweex or not, say anyx and anyx can b perfx
His voice doesn’t match his face
What a loser
He can talk all this nonsense he wants. Steve Jobs was an absolute PoS and that has been known for decades. Well before he even started with Apple. It's not something that just came out after he died.
His voice don’t match his face! Lol
Except apple is a cult and ive is at the core
All the Steve Jobs movies were ghey.
The movie sucks but Mac OS X now is worst.
MacOS and the Mac Apps seem to be getting worse and worse. yes!
100
My lord! He thinks too much before speaking!
