Yamaha MT-125 VS Yamaha R125. Which one do you choose?

  • @ReevyMotovlogs

As someone that has owned the MT-125 and ridden the YZF-R125 I can say the MT is way more comfortable especially for longer journeys. The R125 picks up speed quicker and feels nice and sporty. But the MT is my personal favourite. The R125 does look nicer though.

As someone that owns the R125 and has ridden the MT 125 I can say that I agree, the mt for some reason felt kind of slow compared to the r125, but of course, the sporty look does make it a little bit uncomfortable during longer rides.

As someone that has ridden both, I agree! Both have pros and cons. If you are looking for comfort the MT-125 is the way to go!

I hope you are doing well, even a few months later. I would suggest getting on a motorbike, even a small bike will give some time, space and fun. It really can make all the difference to how you feel in general. It's not the 'cure' but many people have said it helps. If you are already riding, use it as an outlet, every little helps. All the best.

Ofcourse! The R125 seating position is not ideal for long distance travel.

If you want to look bigger, the r125 will be best, since it has the fairing size of today's 600cc

@@grymbathym635 it's a matter of opinion. I've had mine next to many r125s and even the owners agreed the mt looks overall bigger. But if you think that sure mate. 😂
Not to mention I don't see the point in a full sports bike for a 125. You're not gaining much and it's uncomfortable! But again it's a matter of opinion I'm sure you disagree.
And also mines the 2018, before the shitty updated 2020 model so might be thinking of that.

@@joey5773 yeah thats opinions, the forks on the mt make it look like a toy (even 50cc mrts have beefier forks), and in my opinion i dont even see the point of a 125cc four stroke engine, these get gapped by modded mopeds

Dont spend a lot on your first bike! If you are only 16 get a cheap 50 until you are 17, but if you are 17+ then i highly recommend the yzf, i paid £1000 for mine had it a year now has been brilliant no problems at all
