I highly relate to you man, editing and making animations took me and my family out of poverty. I myself wouldn't want to go back again to my family fighting because of money. Therefore I had to thug it out and just do the work for the people you care about. Currently struggling with burn out and this video gave me a good dose of motivation by reflecting the past. Keep up the insightful content man!
Ever since i followed you, now I'm working on a channel with over 1m subs, looking to go full-time with them, helping a new artist establish her brand, and built my website up properly. You are the goat
truly changing conversation too. It is so true, my friend and I always hated the idea of working a "normal job" like everyone else seems to accept, getting paid barely anything to do something we absolutely hate? nah we both edit now, chasing the thing we did as a passion and turning it into the thing that makes us money. and the entire time, it doesnt even feel like work blissful
i think i have good editing skills at the moment but i wanna try make youtube work for me before i look to be an editor, its cool to see you doing well do you have any advice on how you found your clients?
Nah bro, your videos are so good, you make me think on my life with editing, without you, maybe I would still edit only when I want and then stop. Always with you brother!!
My man, I feel like you have a more philosophical approach towards video editing, promoting yourself as a product rather than the service itself, it is YOU who are getting paid, not necessarily you're editing style, you've created an optimal eco-system for yourself that clients come towards you after being bombarded with social proof shown in your social media vehicles like X or discord
This is What helps me edit with clients without burning out. Thinking of something and how much my life will be different if i fail. I'm editing for someone feeling burned out before I watch the video. I have 1 day to finish it. Now im ready to speedrun and edit for a long time without being burned out. Thank you Malice.
Thanks for explaining what fortnite is lol. In all seriousness, just stumbled on your skool, and now on your YT, everything you say is GOLD man, absolute 👑
thank you malice I had been blaming others for not having the ideal conditions to work. Now, I realized I need to take responsibility for it. and Work my ass off.
TL;DR You should see Editing not as painful work but as that something that makes you escape from pain and gives pleasure. This is because our brain wants the most pleasure while running away from pain, so re-wire your brain to make Editing pleasuring. To do so, it's recommended to find all the little negative things that happen in your life and link them to how Editing genuinely could help them. Your mom being stressed about having no money? Find a logical path-way to make so that you can help her. If you don't, then it's your fault. We procrastinate because nothing bad will happen and that's true, but only for the short-term. For the long-term, it's gonna be an issue and the real danger.
Making 3D Lightning in ae or like making some smooth camera movement is actually fun to me but chopping up footage is soooo boring that’s the main thing
Watched full. I have to work because i need to eat and live a healthy peaceful life. That's my why there is no other choice and the fact is that i enjoy work... i am 16 earning money and improving
Hey bro, i love your videos and almost all of my editing skills come from your tutorials so from the bottom of my heart i would like to thank you. What you do is truly amazing but my question is, could you possibly do a tutorial on color grading? I feel like that's a big part of mastering premiere and it's honestly hard to find someone else who would provide as much value as you. (sorry for any mistakes, english is not my native language)
tldr: when editing think of ways of motivating yourself like doing it financially for your family or yourself. Write all things you care about and link it to your work, like if you see your mother stressed used that for a motivator to help you edit so you can money so you can relieve her stress etc etc
