I am so captivated by this woman.. She's so well-spoken, it grips me.. I doubt I would've heard the word 'phantasmagoria' unless I watched this video. She'd be amazing to talk about life with.
She's incredibly talented. I can't think of anybody who would be as perfect for the roles of Eva and Kevin as Tilda and Ezra. Incredible movie AND book. For those who haven't read the book, I must recommend it to you.
Her most underrated role by far tbh. Although she was amazing as the White Witch in the unforgettable Chronicles of Narnia, this will always be her shining role to me.
She ix amazingly talente but she isn't underrated, she is an Oscar winner. I wouldn't mix being obnoxious attention seeker who always needs to have some scandal to be ever present on every cover of every magazine with being underrated. Filling tabloids isn't measure of skill, success and quality.
@@stephenson19861 wow, so you obviously took that out of context, because in my opinion she should have several Oscars not just one they should be lining the walls of her house. Open mouth insert foot.
@@JaneDoe-em7zi Depends. If you're saying she should get more attention than some actors who are not as good but are omnipresent, I agree. There was no context given to take it out from.
The eleven thumbs-down are Cate Blanchett fans. LOL She's the only living actress who can equal a Tilda Swinton in terms of amazing strange talent and beauty.
I speak and listen to the English language with a passion. And so it comes naturally that I regard Tilda Swinton's English as one of the most beautiful and satisfying manners of speaking it. I could spend hours listening to her reciting, talking, probably even just mumbling.
Well I realized that this channel has interviewed a lot of outstanding, talented actors and actresses before. I've just watched this one, Tilda Swinton, and I've watched Felicity Jones and Christian Bale before (Bale's interview is the BEST I could find on RUclips). I look very much forward to see more quality interviews here.
It's so interesting to see the contrast between how intensely committed she is, here, to artistic integrity and authenticity, compared to the roles she takes now. She takes so many more deliberately silly roles now, and I love that. I also love this previous version of her, don't get me wrong, but now it seems like she's maybe having more fun.
When I watched that movie, I immediately thought of my time as a research analyst for the Government in the 90s. I did work on several "projects" that were handed down from above or laterally, but I was encouraged to start my own projects. I also didn't pull information from one or two states, I had the unique advantage of including NJ & NYC into my projects (due to my past places of employment). Long long story short, I did a project about the gestation period of a child. How being in Angry vs Calm Waters for nine long months: How does this affect the child? This movie--I thought THAT was the Point. I thought perhaps my work was taken to another level even tho I had left that job some time ago. It was the VERY thing I worked on. It was obvious that Mom did NOT want that child...can you imagine being surrounded by that (your entire LIFELINE, no less)? How does that damage this poor child? Then what was probably an absolutely brutal birth, the resentment, his life started--hers ended. Yeah, I really thought this movie was about THAT. Whenever someone gets pregnant for the first time, I recommend this movie because of the resentment and angry waters that child swam in before he was even born. I have a bunch of other nice things, but this one is my first suggestion. What NOT to do is equally if not MORE important than what TO do. Wisdom from a Seasoned Hag. GaD
i agree she reminds me of the TALL WHITES..... a type of hybrid greys...but i LOVE her films and when she played Arch Angel Gabriel in Constatine...she is so model like and statuesqe and articulate...
Geez, if you're going to interview such great people, PLEASE get a mike for the interviewer! The lighting & subject's sound are all fine. Sadly, she says very little about the film. I am so curious about the actors & director's thoughts about what they put into it.
I love these interviews and I think they dance around eachother very nicely, but you can tell Swinton has her nerve touched a couple times. It’s important to her that she clarify what a “mature actor” is, that she is not just an actor but also a producer, and that she hadn’t any clue about a “schtick” or any tweets
One of the best movies I have ever seen. If I could make only one suggestion: it would have been more realistic at the end for Kevin to get a certain life sentence. It is enticing to think he could get off with a light sentence by saying, "he was out of his mind on Prozac," and be out in a few years, but probably not. Going by the standard of real mass shooters, no way. (If not for his young age, in the real world he would be facing death.) I don't think it would have taken away from the movie in any way to just have it be that way, either.
En la funcion intelectual de Don Cesar, encuentro el mismo sentido que esas palabras de Don Angel--ya es tiempo de que comiencen a observar a las persona como una masa de energia en movimiento .
She's very interesting and one of those people with an amazing presence.

insanely good job on this film, i was just speechless
She's incredibly talented. I can't think of anybody who would be as perfect for the roles of Eva and Kevin as Tilda and Ezra. Incredible movie AND book. For those who haven't read the book, I must recommend it to you.
her eyes are amazing
I concur...!
I just want to die and be carried away in Tilda Swinton's voice. And hair.
you can tell she's special, she proved it ;)
She is.
It was a brilliant film, I highly recommend it
Amazing actor, she is extraordinary in every movie I've seen her in.
She is so brilliant.
She is beautiful.
She is stunning..
Her most underrated role by far tbh. Although she was amazing as the White Witch in the unforgettable Chronicles of Narnia, this will always be her shining role to me.
Beautiful human !
Love her!!! She's so amazingly talented and underrated. ❤

Burn After Reading!
She came from the art world. I love that this interview touched on her close relationship with Derek Jarman.
I wonder what type of music Tilda Swinton listens to.

Thank you for putting this up.
Tilda Swinton is a singular talent.
she's amazing, and mesmerizing on screen.
you are the best Gabriel that there has always been
Yes!!!!
The eleven thumbs-down are Cate Blanchett fans. LOL
She's the only living actress who can equal a Tilda Swinton in terms of amazing strange talent and beauty.
Why would any Cate Blanchett fan want to put Tilda Swinton down?🤨
That makes no sense.
Loving one doesn't mean you can't admire/love the oher.
lol I'm Cate's fan but i love Tilda as well and wouldn't thumb her down. Love watching their interviews
i love her. she was amazing in this film.

Omahgah she's so gorgeous. Her hair, her face, her eyes! AGH LADY BONER.

What a fantastic, no bullshit interview.

My boyfriend made me watch this movie last night and I still don’t know how I feel about it but it definitely got to me.
It’s more to do with her portrayal than the content
she is awesome
Oh she's delightful :)
3:26 The film that wasn't complete that Tilda references here was Only Lovers Left Alive by Jim Jarmusch.
I think she's talking about Suspiria, I remember her saying she and Luca had been talking about doing it since the early 90's.
Brilliant ❤
i agree she reminds me of the TALL WHITES..... a type of hybrid greys...but i LOVE her films and when she played Arch Angel Gabriel in Constatine...she is so model like and statuesqe and articulate...
A beautiful alien.
And this is why she would be a brilliant doctor who.
Geez, if you're going to interview such great people, PLEASE get a mike for the interviewer!

Sadly, she says very little about the film. I am so curious about the actors & director's thoughts about what they put into it.
Complains complains complains ! STFU dude !
You’ve completely missed the point of the interview, this isn’t Hollywood
Great frame!!! StarLady and the DP from Mars
Why wasn't she nominated to an Oscar for this role?
Ana Luiza Pena because it's not an Oscar material film, and those days, it's the biggest compliment this movie can get.
No idea. Her and Charlize Theron in "Young Adult" we're both BRILLIANT, but alas.
I don’t think she cares for those types of accolades
The irony of her stating she prefers less--if not NO--speaking, while most of us could listen to her all day long.
I've been watching so many of BethInShow videos that this showed up on my youtube dash. #oops
HAHA SAME

i love you :)
