- Tom Sandoval made things worse for himself with the NYT Interview. Tom compared Scandoval to George Floyd and the OJ Simpson trial. He posted an apology but honestly just the fact that Tom THOUGHT it is the problem. The NYT interview was supposed to help Tom Sandoval, but it was just another chance for him to hang himself with his own words.
After I reluctantly break down the NYT interview, I recap episode 4, the After Show, plus WWHL! Lisa had no right to manipulate Scheana and Lala the way she did. But Lala is becoming harder and harder to defend with every After Show. James stays amazing.

Been dying for your take… It was 100% Tom’s decision because it seems like Bravo didn’t know at 1st & came in for damage control for the second half of the interview. If it wasn’t clear Tom is out of touch & has the worst instincts, it is now. He is thinks he is a diva. Glad the author didn’t sugarcoat the exchange in the article…. I completely agree Ariana is just being honest and trying to get through this horrible event that happened to her. She is taking advantage of the opportunities that come. It seems like Ariana is being selective about the opportunities she is choosing. I have huge respect for Ariana. I don’t think I would have had the same level of grace. I would be a hot mess and going scorched earth on his ass. Tom is lucky Ariana is such a cool chick.

Sandoval's & LVP's behavior was beyond manipulative - it was craven.
To put the guilt and pressure on Lala & Scheana to be responsible for Tom's wellbeing (over their own feelings and boundaries, no less) shows LVP's hand in producing way more than concern. And reinforces that Tom (one of Lisa's over40s "little boys") should have his way regardless of his contrition or effort.
She could pull him from the show and put him inpatient; she could call his family and friends for intervention; she could move Tom into one of her homes if she wanted to be able to keep tabs. Lisa has all of the resources available to support Sandoval herself w/o essentially pressuring his coworkers/her staff to do what she wants.

Last night's episode was pretty gross. I understand Lisa is worried about Sandoval, but then why not allow him a 7 to 14 day time out/detox? It would have been before most of these disastrous interviews.
The scene with LVP, Lala, and Scheana was borderline coercive. And Scheana, she knows that woman is about as thick-skinned and strong-willed as a tomato. Lala should really know better though and does. It is really hard not to see this about face of hers as jealousy.
Anyway, may we all find someone who looks at us the way Billie Lee looks at Tom Sandoval! 😂
Billy’s just glad she gets to be back on the show. I don’t know if she and Tom ever hooked up, but based on her loving gazes Billie is down for it.
This season is truly disturbing between the terrifying levels of gaslighting and manipulation from both the Tom’s and everyone disregarding Ariana’s pain simply because she’s continuing to work through it (which i compare it to when i still went to work and all my classes when i was cheated on in college unfortunately the world doesn’t stop for you and she’s just out here making money plenty of people continue to earn an income while struggling emotionally) it’s all just too much I AM TIRED
Also…. Side note I am wondering if some of Lala and Scheana’s comments are because they thought fans would respond more sympathetically to Tom and they didn’t want fans against them? It might be genuine but idk especially Scheana I am always questioning her motives…

I know Kristin is “crazy” but the level of hatred Lisa had for her was crazy to me especially when she was always forgiving James and Jax every time they messed up.
I 100% agree about the suicide stuff. It's because we all feel so uncomfortable and icky saying it that he is weaponizing it. And I fully believe that that whole segment was produced to make us feel sorry for him.

I love people giving Tom interviews. He's been getting sympathy from viewers (which I do not understand; are we not watching the same show?) and he needs to keep reminding the public of who he really is. I am over Sheanna and Lala and their obvious jealousy, especially Lala. After the way she acted about Randall and now Arianna needs to just get over it? She must be trying to revamp her image after she got shit for overreacting at the reunion. And Sheanna just sucks. She's such a flip flopper, always has been. Thought she had changed, but NOPE!

Remember when he was mad at Ariana because she wouldn’t get out of bed? Mental health is important- people who weaponize mental health is not talked about enough. Tom weaponized Kristen’s, Arianna’s & Rachel’s mental health without hesitation and now weaponizing his. He weaponized Ariana’s assumed reaction & mental health as reason to continue the affair, as if his sacrifice for “her” mental health justified his right for an affair.

This is exactly what I was saying on another post. Ariana fantasized about literally driving off a bridge and talked about her major depression a lot on tv and interviews. Tom used it against her behind her back and to gaslight like on her bday when she poured her heart out about y she wanted him to stay with her and he was just like sorry there's going to be heavy machinery and guy stuff I can't miss out bye. Not one part of Tom was remotely considering self harm. He knew if he said that everyone would freak out and kiss his ass and he was correct. Y didn't he mention that Ariana reached out to him when she was informed about Kyle Chan taking his guns. She was very caring smd didn't use it to gain praise from audience. I used to despise Ariana Tom too but now I actually like and respect her. Still can't stand Tom though. He is the worst

I felt the same way about the Schwartz x Lala convo, and the whole scene gave me whiplash from last week's episode lol. The way some of the cast (and even the viewers) talk about Ariana as if she's acting all high and mighty is very odd. People don't like when others, ESPECIALLY women, put up boundaries for themselves and don't tolerate the BS they once did. And I really don't like how her feelings are tossed to the side bc she's still living in that house, as if it's some simple overnight fix, especially in this economy. And correct me if I'm wrong, but Ariana has never forced anyone to stop being Sandoval/Schwartz's friend, she simply said she wouldn't hang out with them if they did. The choice is theirs to make, and EYE wouldn't want to be friends with someone that colluded with my ex to cheat on me, call me crazy 🤷🏾♀ Imo Schwartz still needs his feet held to the fire for the comments and actions he made about both Katie and Ariana last season. THAT being said....weaponization of mental health is also a very real issue, especially now that we've grown as a society to consider people's mental health more. There are bad actors who take advantage of this to shield themselves from criticism and avoid any personal growth. I find it ESPECIALLY telling that he chose to tell Lisa ON CAMERA about his issues, especially when Lisa said she reached out to him privately before to help him. I really hope Tom is not intentionally manipulating people with mentions of suicidal thoughts cause that's a level of gross and despicable that I think you cannot come back from. Suicide is not a pity card to play.

Emily, once again, you spot on with your analysis! Watching this weeks episode was just so sickening and to see how gullible and weak Scheana and Lala were and honestly not surprising as they both know what needs to be done to keep that show going, because unlike other people, they don’t have true talent, so when the show ends, they might eventually have to get a real jobs, because their podcasts and autotune music is only gonna take them so far!

I truly believe Tom Sandavol is full of crap. Watching this episode and his scene interviews is so manipulative. Specifically when he says “its always the ppl closet to you that hurt you the most the most” literally as soon as it came out his mouth my eyebrow up and i said you manipulative bastard how dare you want sympathy for the mess you caused. I’m telling go watch this episode his wheels are spinning you can literally see he’s saying things to get a certain type of reaction and response. There's no universe in which they could or should be compared together. The Lyft driver's apparent indifference/lack of recognition of the scandal - in L.A. - shows that Sandoval is not "the most hated man in America." He finds some satisfaction in repeating that, but it doesn't make it true.

The crowd definitely loved her.
I dont know...i dont think Lisa has been well. S has impacted her life so badly and I almost get the sense she may be struggling with some sort of chemical dependence herself. Scheana and Tom got so many narcissistic traits there has to be something there. Tom knew exactly how to weaponize Lisa and it worked. I saw her get all twisted up and start her codependent cleanup. Her anger is a harder drug than the weed drink James was drinking. What she really needs to do is stop taking other ppls inventory and please be quiet. The real wisdom of recovery comes when you learn to focus on yourself. The guidance counselor vibe has got to go.

I know this is an older episode but I'm going back through your catalog and I just wanted to say remember in the very beginning when Ariana first started dating Tom and Sheena thought Tom was so awful that she reached out to Ariana's mother and Ariana was really upset because she was like what the fuck are you doing and Sheena stuck by her guns for a little bit by saying I think he's not good and I think this and I think that and what happened to that Sheena??? The funny thing is that all of these bravo guys and gals really think they are something great. They all have very little talent if any. Ariana has you snowed. I promise you she was not and is not heartbroken. She is milking this as much as she can. They were not married nor exclusive.
