4:29 i’m a brand new subscriber. I just found this video as a suggestion on RUclips this morning. I really enjoy the videos. I’ve watched the ones at the switch tender in Jackson already. There is one suggestion that I have which I believe would help all of the viewers. My suggestion is when the excellent descriptive text appears at the bottom of the screen for different subject matter, the length of time which it stays on the screen I do believe should be increased. For example, this line of text, seven seconds of duration is just for me too short to read all of the text. I believe this should have been 11 seconds of display and that would’ve given an ample time to read all the words. This is just a suggestion, please do not be offended, excellent excellent work! Just trying to help with what I believe would be a positive improvement.
Hi Jim, that is one downside of text boxes since everyone reads them (or doesn't!) at slightly different speeds, but I see no harm in adding a few seconds to each to improve readability. Now that I make them in my editing software, Davinci Resolve, I think they look much better / more legible than the old ones and once I have a design I mostly copy paste, so with a few more seconds added that'll be a new standard. Thanks for the feedback!
@@trainguy1792 Yes, I noticed the captions with less words were fine at 7 seconds so it depends on how many words are on the caption. I ran a stopwatch on the one that I commented on and it looked like I could read it in about 10 seconds so that’s why I was thinking 11 seconds on that longer caption. Excellent work. Enjoyed watching!
