Hi Robbie! Another fun and informative video. I'm glad you will be protecting yourself when using pesticides and herbicides. I wear gloves all of time when gardening. I use the Atlas Nitrile Garden Gloves, and bamboo gloves that are similar, for pulling weeds and working in the soil, and cheap latex gloves for planting and using fertilizer. The ones for planting are very thin so you can feel more of what you are doing, so not cumbersome at all. I was happy to hear you mention The Southerners Northern Garden. I watch his videos, too, and really enjoy them. Matthew is a brand ambassador for Heirloom Roses and does have a discount code for 2024. I encourage everyone to watch his videos. Thank you so much for sharing!

I don’t know if I can explain this correctly but I’m going to TRY. I’ve heard from more than one source that fertilizer doesn’t feed your plants, it feeds the microbes in your soil and the microbes feed your plants. I THINK I also remember this correctly that the microbes only live in the top 4 to 6 inches of your soil because they need oxygen to survive and the further down you go in your soil the less oxygen there is available for the microbes . It has been suggested that when your fertilizing your “ plants “ don’t just throw the fertilizer in the bottom of the hole because most of the feeders roots are in the upper part of your soil and that’s where the most microbes live. Mix the fertilizer into the top 4 to 6 inches of your soil for the best results for your plants and microbes. I also believe they mentioned that while top dressing your plants with a natural fertilizer may make you feel good and will eventually work it’s way down into the soil it’s not going to get the fast results your hoping for. I heard this from a soil scientist so I believe in what she’s telling me. I have also heard something to that effect from another scientist but the woman I last heard this from broke it down in more detail. Feed the soil not the plants. Microbes and plants have a symbiotic relationship. 💐💚🙃

I have been dealing with cats in my garden too, and bought a cat shaped sort of plaque type of thing that you push into the ground, it has marbles for eyes that glow at night, supposed to scare cats off as they think its a cat in your garden, seemed to have worked so far, x ( Sorry for poor discription hopefully you know the sort of thing I mean ) xx🌹

The last 2 huge bags of soil I got were full of wood pieces and fiber. It was also so dusty that I could feel myself breathing the thing and all tissues I used were blackish. Oh, to add to all that, when watering, the water just sits on top without being absorbed. I had to poke with a fork many times to get the water through. Lesson learned the hard way, and never again.

One of the problems with today's society is that everyone wants to be a youtube creator.. Most of the successful people have personality to go with their content. Not everyone can be or will be successful on youtube. If you don't have a personality that resonates with people, you can do youtube for years and never get anywhere. You have to have the IT factor along with your content, and Robbie, you have it! Unfortunately, I see a lot of people always asking for advice on how to do youtube, and they just don't get it that most people are not going to be successful on youtube.
