What a talented guy! Is there part 2 of this renovation?
Why are there so many 'dilapidated and abandoned homes?? It's amazing just how handy every single person that has a video is. Also why do they all do the outside first and not the inside??? Makes no sense!
I was wondering the same thing it just so happens that I was watching a video because I watch all of them I can it's ritual custom for them to get their yard's and gardens finished first.
My understanding is that there was a huge exodus over the last few generations from rural China to the cities (which are HUGE). People's ancestral homes fell into ruin. Now with over crowding there's a big push to try to get the younger generation of workers to move out of the cities and restore rural China.
I think because the weather is so unpredictable that they start with the outside first. It is same here in my country, the weather an get really hot so they always start with the outside

During the people's revolution under Chairman Mao, most of the farm families and country folk were urged to leave rural areas in favor of moving to large cities to work in factories .
Sadly, during this reform period, artisans, teachers and artists were locked up and re-educated under communist doctrine. Those who went along survived but never returned to the country. The other families met with a more unfortunate end.
