Future tip for Penske rentals.... you can have a Penske rental up to 4 hrs of the next day before it’s considered/charged another day rental .... so return the rental the next morning before Penske has been open longer than 4 hrs for that day....

I used to have a Yamaha Warrior 1700 but sold it years ago and always regretted getting rid of that bike. Watching this video and hearing you guys talk about the Warrior you picked up, made me want another one so bad I went out and bought one Monday. Found a single owner 2004 with 3,400 miles on it. Love these bikes, keep up the good work I really enjoy watching your Chanel.
Couple things: Regularly check your wheel bearings. They are a maintenance item that need to be greased and occasionally repacked, especially with the salty winters of up north. You should figure out how many bikes fit into the semi fully loaded sideways, you might could have gotten away with just the big truck and not the Penske. Love the channel. Cant wait to get my first bike in a couple months
Keep in mind if he buys 50 bikes at auction roughly half them are ready to drive and sale others need minor repair fixing and by time their up other have sold

The exact same thing happened to me hauling used tires from KC to north Missouri in a 24 foot box truck pulling a trailer with 480 tires in it. Used a come-a-long to hold the axle up for the rest of trip and return. Had my extremities real tight!
Thanks for another good video! Bearings have long been the biggest problem with new trailers of any kind. Mfrs only packk the bearing, not the hub...soooo, within a short time the bearinggs sling the grease out! Most notorious, boat trailers, hence the greasable hub cap, a great addition on any trailer.
Your so lucky with the hub on the trailer problem. I couldn't believe it in small town Iowa a local guy pulled up on a Honda Ruin at a car and bike show just the other day. I was in shock and tooks a few pics. Beautiful red too and so cool.

In the interest of public safety, whenever pulling a trailer after the first couple miles get out and put your hand on the hub it if it is slightly warm no problem if it is trending towards hot you have a problem. This is the easiest way to determine a upcoming problem without tools and before a little problem becomes a big problem. If it anytime you put your hand on the hub and it burns you don’t even try to move it
I don't know if anybody notices this but thousands of dollars worth bikes on his trailer and he only cares about hurting someone on the road if something goes wrong. You're good people SRK cycles. Keep it up..

The free bike the Yamaha Maxima I had the 1980 650 model when I was in the Army it was fast and fun and looked black but it was actually very dark deep blue

I'd if anyone said this yet. But the axle on the trailer doesn't turn. Just the wheel does on the bearing. The only time the axle turns is if it's a drive axle. Like it has power of some kind going to it to make the vehicle move.
No problem. Yeah like the other guy said to. Its always good to check your wheel bearings. & You guys can do it easily, make sure all the lug nuts on each wheel are tight then just jack up one side of the trailer & try to wiggle the wheels. They shouldn't have any wiggle to them really. A very small amount is normal on older bearings. But anymore then that, they should be replaced. Plus it's good to keep the bearings greased. Some times there's fitting to put a grease gun.

I got a trailer on the hoist to do the wheel bearing and check the brakes. There is also a way to test the power output coming to your rear brakes ( later gizmo ) things are not all what it seem..

We almost never run bikes at auction we normally keep them until they sell. This was a new thing that we are trying out. It might work out well or badly. But we will hopefully learn something
next time you load the bikes sideways intoo the trailer set them turned opposite to eachother , that way the handle bars go over the seats of the bikes next to them and you can pack them in a little tighter and i think theres less chance of knocking the mirrors or fairings off under travel

What year GT650R's and what are you guys going to be asking? Glad to see no major traffic issues. Have to add an edit, you had 10 bikes at about 500 LB each. There is 5,000 LBS the rated weight of an axle and the there is trailer weight, so you do need dual.
thanks ; you are the only one that has the right answer. Load carrying vehicles are rated per axle per weighted weight. Two axles generally can carry almost twice the weight as one axle.( generally ) That trailer is rated for a certain weight. Heh Guys read the Government required stamp on the side of the trailer.
These days you can't trust Manufacturers or dealers to do things properly, that's why in the Industrial scene every new tool and equipment gets a Start Up inspection where we will regrease everything and check to make sure all fittings and lugs are tight to specs. I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if you have to replace that axle if it burned out the bearing bad enough it ate into the spindle. Unless the spindle is sleeved then youd be ok.

Dude, God is watching over you for sure. No way that tire should have stayed on, around corners, entrance ramps, exit ramps, corners, highway curves.... It was carrying 1/4 of all that weight, and then you just rip it off there with less than 1/10 of the force of the weight it was carrying.? Wow... Yep...you're Blessed.
Any of the mass produced trailers come with super cheap bearings. If you buy one, replace the bearings as soon as you get home. Then ,with regular maintaining, you're good to go.
you guys have such a tall building and you only use the first 8 ft of space, you guys could have installed some industrial mezzanines with a ramp or freight elevator and double your effective area for storing bikes.
That's a nice Pete and cats are too of the line so ur brothers got a nice truck the fact that he can haul bikes for u is awesome he must be a O/O under his own DOT # (I'm working my way there atm in the process of buying my first semi used and will be paid off in 2 years it's crappy but will do and once it's paid use it as a down payment for a new one) but just gotta say love the content you guys give out and as far as unloading in that temp (do it all the time best part about the job u loose 20 pounds a day in sweat :p ) stay cool and enjoy :)

I've noticed Sean always says "awesome".... as in "the is bike is super awesome." At about 24 minutes and 30 seconds into the video Sean looks at the thermometer in the trailer and says "it's 106 degrees in here... it's super nice in here.. it's awesome." Which obviously means that it's g#d damn hot in the truck (definitely not awesome)... So the next time I watch Sean test ride a bike and he says how "awesome" the bike is I'm going to remember how he also uses "awesome" when things suck.

Btw, probably wouldn't hurt to check all the wheel bearings and regrease them if possible or install new ones all around all 4 wheels just to prevent this from rehappening again. Great Job! I pulled a double axle trailer all over the midwest, racing motocross. HHad to roll down the road with 3 tires more than once! GOD is good!!

Constant tightening of those trailer wheels is a must! I went from Fla to Ma many times and had to check them every fuel up

@Bikes and Beards If you load it near capacity often then you gotta repack bearings a lot sooner than 1 year.
He’s not loading it anywhere near capacity. Even with a full load of bikes.
Any of the mass produced trailers come with super cheap bearings. If you buy one, replace the bearings as soon as you get home. Then ,with regular maintaining, you're good to go.
you guys have such a tall building and you only use the first 8 ft of space, you guys could have installed some industrial mezzanines with a ramp or freight elevator and double your effective area for storing bikes.

That's a nice Pete and cats are too of the line so ur brothers got a nice truck the fact that he can haul bikes for u is awesome he must be a O/O under his own DOT # (I'm working my way there atm in the process of buying my first semi used and will be paid off in 2 years it's crappy but will do and once it's paid use it as a down payment for a new one) but just gotta say love the content you guys give out and as far as unloading in that temp (do it all the time best part about the job u loose 20 pounds a day in sweat :p ) stay cool and enjoy :)

If we continue doing this we will have to. The idea is to get a cheap car and build the ramp on top of it so that we can drive it around
I've noticed Sean always says "awesome".... as in "the is bike is super awesome." At about 24 minutes and 30 seconds into the video Sean looks at the thermometer in the trailer and says "it's 106 degrees in here... it's super nice in here.. it's awesome." Which obviously means that it's g#d damn hot in the truck (definitely not awesome)... So the next time I watch Sean test ride a bike and he says how "awesome" the bike is I'm going to remember how he also uses "awesome" when things suck.

Great Job Guys!! It looks like you've set yourself up to be one of the best de ealerships in the entire state! Way to go on the limping it home. Once you get your trailer fixed back up to work, it'll be like easy for you to really make things to go smoothly!! Btw, probably wouldn't hurt to check all the wheel bearings and regrease them if possible or install new ones all around all 4 wheels just to prevent this from rehappening again.
