Do you want gimmics or old World craftsmanship? For me its still the top of the line. Omega & Zenith amount others are just as good but it doesn't say Rolex!
I don’t understand the point of this video. I think you are trying to make a point but then you start arguing with yourself. I guess any video with Rolex in the thumbnail will get clicks. Well, you got me this time.
Its literally the Rolls Royce of watches, old money shit. When you make it in life & you go out to celebrate you want that Daytona Rollie or the SubMariner on you're wrist. I know I will.
Well, the value comes exactly from they dont change the design so much and so frequently. You buy a Toyota Camry and next year I will see a brand new Cemry model with totally different look. And you dont see it in a Prosche, Lambo and Ferrarri, etc. Dont get too “functional” and “technical” when you talk about brand value.
Its still my ultimate goal. I want a new one,a real one in the proper box w/ all the bells & whistles & nows a good time I believe. Within this yr ill have one.
The video highlights how the brand’s shift from accessible luxury to exclusivity and scarcity alienated many loyal customers. It provides insight into how Rolex’s supply shortages and increasing prices have affected its market perception and customer base.
For my retirement I treated myself to a new watch. I thought of another Rolex to go with my 2 tone Sub. But with Rolex so hard to get from the AD, I went with a Glashütte Original and I couldn't be happier! The Glashütte Original beats Rolex hands down.
It's branding, we're not immune, but we're not that interested. My favourite watch is the one my Dad wore and he passed on to me. He's not an F1 driver or a football player, but he's my hero.
Don’t own a Rolex. Heard stories of retail salespeople denying new customers for popular watches to push slower moving models first. Or, putting them on a wait list, but never called back. People got fed up, and bought other brands, vowing never to buy them ever. This young generation wear Apple Watch, or no watch. I’m buying a Grand Seiko spring drive sports model next.
@@michaelriera6277 Yes I totally agree but it doesn't mean no more innovation. The Swiss watch industry is highly dynamic and brands can change over the time.
I have both Rolex’s and other ‘even higher heurology’ watches. Here’s the thing. The Rolex’s really do hold their resale value. Part of that is continuity of models - as newer ones keep rising, older ones do as well. Part is also durability. The Lange the video recommends and similar watches can’t readily handle the same level of abuse - for example on the beach or boat, or everyday outdoor activities. Plus the Rolex’s have quick and easy resale, if I ever needed. My regret is only the other watches I’ve bought over the years.
Wow! Rolex has emerged as a major game changer in today's technology landscape, offering luxurious watches and implementing smart market pricing strategies.
True Rolex is not innovative anymore. However, their significance in the market is still second to none. Still have the most copied or inspiring models, still have waiting list (for us common folk anyways), still are beautifully made and their movements will be reliable almost forever.
They are? Have soon the recent sales numbers from Rolex? They dominate 30% of the luxury watch market. Exactly where do you see the threat to the brand?
The good days of ultra high margin Swiss watch making are numbered. There will be less and less people willing to pay such a high price when most of it goes to marketing expenses and celebrities
I think that the problem is that they are turning customers away and people are rethinking the approach. Are they really that exclusive when every other person has one.
Yes, it’s become a symbol of success and craftsmanship that can last a lifetime. Maybe that’s why Rolex dominates with 30% of the luxury watch market even with all the other lesser expensive, easily attainable brands ex: Omega.
I disagree. Less innovation the better. Stay classic with conservative and reliable tech. This is what Toyota does, and they are the highest selling car brand in the United States. No need to innovate. That is not Rolex’s identity. Let other brands do that. Edit: To take this a step further, I am not thrilled with the Rolex 32xx series movements. Wish they would have stuck with the 31xx series movements. Those we know are reliable. These new ones, I do not trust. Same goes for other brands as well. I do trust new movements in the short term. But certainly not the long term. Only movements I trust in the long term are Rolex 31xx series, ETA, and Sellita.
That brand is living only off its name. The problem is that the quality of watches has generally increased a lot in the last few years. It's a very crafty branding scam that works well, but there are better quality watches to be bought elsewhere. Sorry, Rolex, you've been found out.
An honest report. Rolex has been a masterpiece of marketing, yet is merely middle tier in horology. I’ve owned and sold three of them. There are so many better watches available. I suppose their philosophy is the trite “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” Meanwhile, the entire industry has innovated well past them.
Not exactly ! Why innovation ? There are a lot of companies inovating......and what ? Nobody recognize their watches. Why precision ? There are enough companies with great precision watches ....and what ? Nobody recognize their watches. Conclusion : in a world full of technology , innovation and precision the watches are not used to read the hour ......we have mobile phones for this. Thus there is something else important, and Rolex knows. Nobody can buy their history and model.
Rolex has a captive market class A and B only which is roughly 1% of the population. They have gone out of customers. Young people would rather wear light weight plastic reasonable priced watches just like wearing gold necklaces n bracelets. They would rather wear string materials light n maintenance free as accessories to their attire.
Spot on Rolex is now become the standard of the beginners market asking a fortune. Rolex is the beginng of a real watch collectors choice. Look at Jacob or others. Rolex needs to shake of the old and open with the new
When you need to have top notch marketing to brainwash people into thinking it’s a prestige watch brand, it’s because of their lack of substance. A Grand Seiko and several other Swiss and German watch brands make better quality watches than Rolex. It’s made itself into a flashy cult watch.
Rolex model is one of best Model we really like and appreciate it this is wonderful watch this is s fantastic for us we really like it this is so outstanding watch making for us tnx for sharing this video with us
Look, I appreciate your videos. But the sound you make, in this one it is at 0:50 mark is wayyy too loud. If you have airpods in it just screams in your ear. Pleaseeee turn that sound volume down when you make your video or just take it out.
Go and buy a watch at 1k my friend, Rolex is king! I have been buying Rolex since 1986 and I have never lost money! Rolex is like cash in the bank! Their innovation is not visible and that is why I love them! If you want people to notice what you wear all the time this is really not for you!
Please do better. IMO, this video appears to be a copy of another video from 11 months ago that just popped up in my suggestions listing. I guess it must have just popped up in your suggestion listing also. You even used the same "if I had 100 million" I would not buy a Rolex example from the other video. I am assuming this is AI.
Rolexes downfall LMAO. Your tripping, demand clearly can not meet the demand. For everyone that gets butt hurt, about not getting one on the spot, and runs to buy an Omega, plenty of others are willing to wait to get a Rolex. Omega, Grand Seico, etc, still and will always be live in Rolexes shadow. None of them can match the Rolexes brand recognition and prestige and value retention. Timeless and iconic designs trumps, the flavor of the week designs you call innovation. Rolexes are over built and designed to last the test of time. Horologically speaking you berate Rolex for not being AP or Patek, well those watches sell for 2x-3x of Rolex prices. So no matter how many people join the Rolex hate club fan-boy society, the crown will have it appeal and retain its place as the titan of luxury watch industry hard stop.
Down fall? I’m not seeing it. Their shelves are empty and the gray prices mostly above MSRP even now.
This is the most upward downfall I've ever seen. Rolex is still the most profitable Swiss watch company.
I feel exactly the same way, Rolex hasn't really been innovating, they stuck.
Do you want gimmics or old World craftsmanship? For me its still the top of the line. Omega & Zenith amount others are just as good but it doesn't say Rolex!
The submariner doesn’t meet the ISO diver spec but a Seiko skx does at 1% the price. Doesn’t it make you feel cheated?
For me Rolex is always the beginner of luxury watch .. then you have Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille , and off course Patek.
I don’t understand the point of this video. I think you are trying to make a point but then you start arguing with yourself. I guess any video with Rolex in the thumbnail will get clicks. Well, you got me this time.
Rolex has had brilliant marketing, but it doesn’t compare to Patek Philippe or many other European brands.
That why they are the biggest watch brand because they to compare to others.
Rolex is not Apple. Buying a brand not a technology.
Its literally the Rolls Royce of watches, old money shit. When you make it in life & you go out to celebrate you want that Daytona Rollie or the SubMariner on you're wrist. I know I will.
There really is only one Rolex!
The innovation aspect is lacking with Rolex watches.
Within this yr ill have one.
wow, i had no idea about the errors on the gmt master. with those prices, they really shouldn’t be making mistakes like that 😬
The video highlights how the brand’s shift from accessible luxury to exclusivity and scarcity alienated many loyal customers. It provides insight into how Rolex’s supply shortages and increasing prices have affected its market perception and customer base.
Very educative video about Rolex, thanks for sharing
I'd take the Spring Drive anytime. Best movement in the world.
For my retirement I treated myself to a new watch. I thought of another Rolex to go with my 2 tone Sub. But with Rolex so hard to get from the AD, I went with a Glashütte Original and I couldn't be happier! The Glashütte Original beats Rolex hands down.
Rolex is Rolex . The reason why I bought it is because of its classic design😊 with improments on its movement
Rolex owns 30% of the Swiss luxury watch market. They must be doing something right.
downfall? ROLEX is God tier
It's branding, we're not immune, but we're not that interested. My favourite watch is the one my Dad wore and he passed on to me. He's not an F1 driver or a football player, but he's my hero.

I’m buying a Grand Seiko spring drive sports model next.
It's boring indeed. But I still want that dayrona
What is your opinion about Omega speedmaster professional Moon watch?
Quite thoughtful insights into the Rolex brand.
And, as far as quality and precision goes… you’re better off with a Grand Seiko.
This brand retains its luxurious reputation, but requires more innovation.
Why? They dominate, have you seen the recent Morgan Stanley Swiss watch report? Truly understand what an amazing brand Rolex is.
@@michaelriera6277 Yes I totally agree but it doesn't mean no more innovation. The Swiss watch industry is highly dynamic and brands can change over the time.
Rolex’s downfall explained with clear insights and detailed history. Really enjoyed this deep dive!
Given that it now offers opulent timepieces at competitive rates, Rolex has emerged as a major game changer in modern technology.
I love how Rolex prioritize their brand which has stand out over the years making it the middle of the game in the watch market.
Excellent! Rolex authorized dealers are genuinely gaining momentum. This luxury watches are such impressive. It's price is truly fascinating.
I would take a Seiko over a Rolex any day! And I have both.
I have both Rolex’s and other ‘even higher heurology’ watches. Here’s the thing. The Rolex’s really do hold their resale value. You are 💯 correct
This video provided a clear examination of Rolex's status in the evolving watch industry. Very helpful and detailed.
The AI generated voice is saying "submarine-er" and it makes me question Opulent Oasis. "Key-OSC certified" too is bad.
That's the way I pronounce that completely machine made watch by the millions.
Enjoyed learning about the current state of Rolex in the luxury watch market. Thanks for the analysis.
It’s all AI driven video. Lots of holes in the analysis.
Great video! I really appreciate the detailed explanation and the way you broke down the topic. Super helpful and informative!
I mean the company is facing stiff competition from other watch brands.

Despite the great advantages that Rolex watches pose in the current technological environment, there are constraints that may impact the technology!
Rolex has become a highly game changer in current technology since has luxuries watches with good strategies in Market prices

The Rolex is a status and quality sign. This video is really lovely!
This video is knowledgeable and educational for everyone

The recent tudor red bezel blackbay 41 master chronometer.. wow!! 🎉🎉🎉
Excellent recommendations! Loved the selection of plants for goldfish.
Rolex represents symbol of status and quality,it's indeed beautiful video!
thanks for sharing this analysis about Rolex watches. I learnt a lot from this
You sound just like an amateur in the world of wristwatches not knowing much about the history of the industry huh 😂
Who needs a watch nowadays, when you can get the time on your phone.
You killed me man! Lol.
Interesting and amazing video ❤
I'm genuinely impressed with how close MAMACOO were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
Great and informative video exploring useful information about Rolex watches much appreciated thanks for sharing your thoughts
The video is informative thank you for sharing
Rolex might really really be losing its lustre in the face of modern challenges
No downfall yet.
Still going over retail used
I don't think rollocks is going anywhere.Go try to buy one
Interesting and insightful video to watch thanks for sharing this information.

Casio watches are very good.
Same watch, new color... 🤣
Very informative video. Rolex is a good company.
Rolex is a big brand. I believe they will rise back as times goes on
Spot on Rolex is now become the standard of the beginners market asking a fortune. Rolex is the beginng of a real watch collectors choice. Look at Jacob or others.
Rolex needs to shake of the old and open with the new
They dominate with 30% of the luxury watch market and no other brand is even remotely close. So exactly why do they need to change?
I am impressed and I love the content on this video. Thanks for sharing

Great video
Rolex is such a brilliant and beautiful time piece, I love rolex regardless and it's everything nice

It sometimes feels like people go for the name and not the perfection of Rolex timepiece. Thanks for sharing thus enlightenment
Yeah, it's getting boring with Rolex.

Rolex watches are different and interested to purchase.
😅, if you only know who is behind Rolex then you would change your mind
Go and buy a watch at 1k my friend, Rolex is king! I have been buying Rolex since 1986 and I have never lost money! Rolex is like cash in the bank! Their innovation is not visible and that is why I love them! If you want people to notice what you wear all the time this is really not for you!
Go buy a Gshock if you like innovation
Rolex designs are in my opinion superior to Patek or Hublot for a fraction of the price.
it would be good for a series on alternatives to Rolex. I agree that all Rolex's look the same
Just try. G shock Casio they tell the time and last for years
Rolex is always amazing watch
Yup,,you’ve guessed it,,,they suck,,😟 I’m gonna sell most of my Rolex and buy, Patek ,,AP and vacheron folks,,
Please do better. IMO, this video appears to be a copy of another video from 11 months ago that just popped up in my suggestions listing. I guess it must have just popped up in your suggestion listing also. You even used the same "if I had 100 million" I would not buy a Rolex example from the other video. I am assuming this is AI.
I would love to see Rolex bringing some modern watches. Like wristbands or digital watches.

The king of the 20th Century...21st Century, not so much.
Really? How so, have you seen the latest Morgan Stanley report?
No innovation!
DOWNFALL??????? LMAO! They wish!
Very educative video about Rolex, thanks for sharing
