When you set up the first option rough, it does a lot of air cutting over that middle pocket. Could you add an air region there? If the tool can't get in, could you create curves chain and then offset the chain to give the endmill room to move into the air of the pocket, but avoid most of it?
Can you reference a specific time in the video that you're looking at? The initial engagement has a few passes that don't immediately engage, but otherwise the Opti toolpaths are stock aware and will avoid air cutting. Keep in mind that it performs step-downs which means it will cut over the top of the middle pocket, then cut into the pocket on the next step. It isn't cutting air, but it is completing each step-down completely. There is also a bit of air cutting in between the two circular bosses, but that is a side effect of the high-speed machining approach.
At least you're keeping us honest! No toolpath is ever completely perfect, but they should definitely function in predictable ways. I love stock awareness for how automatic and intelligent it is.
This video isn't intended to explain dynamic roughing, but there are plenty of other videos that talk about dynamic roughing technology. ruclips.net/video/3A8fHAfMpa8/видео.html
There are a few reasons this could happen. If you are a commercial customer I highly recommend reaching out to your support provider to discuss your situation, but here are a few things you can try. 1) Check on your graphics hardware, if you have a dedicated AMD or NVIDIA graphics card enable dedicated graphics to avoid hybrid mode. If you have only a CPU-integrated graphics processor, disable hardware acceleration or upgrade your computer. The steps to make these changes varies depending on which version you're using. 2) Update to a newer version if possible, Windows 7 is no longer supported and is going to start to become a security concern.
@@MLCCADSystems thanks for that this all started after I attempted to install heidenhain 640 software simulation download which required Oracle Virtual Box Software in installed that however that was NOT enough apparently there was a BIOS issue so I tried to fix that I don't think I changed anything but by then the damage has been done while I have removed the virtual box software I don't know what else I should UNDO in order to get back to normal ? any experience with BIOS ?
