Hello Mastercam, how do you know that how much volume of material left at corner in depth after roughing and on what calculation basis you are setting value of maximum depth in maximum stock engagement. And even in series of pencil passes how did you set 0.06" in stock to leave at first. Is there any way to calculate it?

Hi Mamunur! The approach we took here was manual. There is no volume awareness, it would be up to the programmer to ensure there step in values are safe for there particular tool. This was a conceptual video showing the flexibility Mastercam offers when you have a deep understanding of what all the options are capable of. We encourage you to check out our new Equal Scallop 'step-in' technology found on the 'Stock' page in Mastercam 2023. It's manually explained at the 27:50 mark in this video, we have automated and implemented that concept in Mastercam 2023.
