Love it how you guys keep on explaining these details about air ride nuances.
I have a mcpherson system but my car is not a tuner car and no brand does air ride specifically for my car, so most of the time I will be getting a spherical bearing and that's it.
My current strut does have a radial bearing at the top instead of a spherical one and that's it. Do you think that can do the trick?

What type of car do you have? Most of the time the bearings are not interchangeable to swap from a radial to spherical.

how come my recently purchased new performance series struts for VW MK7.5 didn’t come with a radial bearing and just a crappy spherical bearing? or did they? which i have had to replace both just after 5k miles, by the way, under warranty. big fail on air lifts part for using cheap bearings. time to find some better quality ones for the next time they both start making noise.

Hey sorry to hear your bearings already failed. Do your struts look like the one in the video with an integrated bearing? This is a very recent update to Air Lift suspension and the old style is still being phased out. Luckily if you want this upgrade its easy enough to do with the purchase of 2 replacement bags.

@@bagriders How can i tell? the kit that was sold to me from BagRiders is the exact same kit that’s currently pictured on AirLifts product page for P/N: 78522. I cannot visually check as the struts are on the car. 🙏

@@bagriders easy and expensive to fix an issue i’m now stuck with, lol. for $500 i can fix it or try and find quality spherical bearing for $300. i’ll just keep warranty claiming in the interim and look into a possible lawsuit against AitLift 👍

You would have to remove the wheel to check and see if it includes the bearing. Feel free to contact our customer support for more information about them.

@@bagriders it doesn’t but thankfully air lift is sending me 2 new bags with the radial bearings and 2 spherical bearing kits, to resolve this issue once and for all permanently. if not i’d be on my third set of spherical bearings in 6 months. stoked!!! again, i had bought my kit just a few months before they changed the design and added the radial bearings.
