This was the year I became an eagles fan I was in 2nd grade I think. Watching this back now this game was played so much more violently. Every tackle every hit every block played with more ferocity then it’s played now. Fun watching this back now that I understand the game
Watching this video back it couldn’t be more clear how bad McNabbs been thrown under the bus by the Philly fan base. He was making magic happen for years, as consistently as anybody. This team was too much fun to watch!
Totally agree. McNabb had a personality that a lot of fans never really connected with and he therefore never got the love he deserved. Team was super fun to watch for a long time because of him.
@@hitek9too255 At different times of his career, no one did more with less in the beginning.... and then, no one did less with more at the end. Major learning experience for Andy Reid.
He played along time and is the best QB in Eagle's franchise history he just never had any WR's until this year . But TO being TO ruined what could've been one of the better QB WR tandems to play the game.
@@alienlife7754 to be fair, I don't think a whole lotta people had access to HDTV broadcasts back then, and maybe even fewer that were able to record it

I think that was the last touchdown of Todd Pinkston's career. He didnt have alot of them in 2004, and ruptured his achillies in 05 preseason and that was it.
If mcnabb played today he would be In the mention but unfortunately he had Brady, breese, and manning. Who was more exciting then. Now he would be a magician.
9:38 The Infamous 14 second play by Mcnabb before he threw it to Mr, 4th and 26th Freddy Mitchell, God Damn, the old glory day's, it was some dark day's after this era but we've been back since that 2017 season baby.. *FlyEaglesFly* *BirdGangTillIDie* 💯
This team would’ve won the SB this year. Mind you this was before the Pats cheating was exposed. They mustve recorded a oractice bc they knew every running play we ran that game..and it was still close; even with Donovan having a weird game.
I told my supervisor that Owen’s was a cancer! They almost fired me for thinking that! I told them just sit back and watch! And I was right a year later he did the whole pay me or trade me shit! And look how many teams he played after leaving Philly and never again went to any championship games
I agree but I do like Hurts composure slightly more than mcnabb. Also he have less of ego personality. He have a ego but it more in control. Due to him getting cut from Alabama

Slugfest. Mcnabb making those throws while on the run is still a spectacle. Absolute craziness
they were at the peak here
I remember thinking that McNabb to T.O was gonna be a nightmare for opposing teams for the next decade.
It definitely could’ve been had they not fallen out.
It should have been. That's what happens when people's Egos get in the way.
Imagine if TO wasn't crazy it would have been great
And it was. Just like Hurts to AJ Brown. Very familiar. If Brown had Owens speed, He’d have more than just 10 Touchdowns 🦅🦅
They messed that up didn't they
McNabb to Owens, what could've been!
The one and only road game I've ever been to. Picked a hell of a game to go to.

Shit i wasin the 11th grade when i watched this season i was rooting for the eagles to win it all but NE took it at then end
Almost same story as me, the year that made me a life-long Birds fan
@@jakekorus8749 Me too, I was also in the 2nd grade
So much more physical than today's football and already so much less so than the decades prior to the early 2000's.
Even though this eagles team didn't win SB it has always been my favorite eagles squad
The 04, the 2010, and 2017 squads are my favorites of the modern era. So much fun watching those games.
This is the horse collar game?
Agreed. This will always be my team
the horse collar game was in philadelphia
9:59 Freddie Mitchell bring out the belt well before Aaron Rodgers became known for it.
FredEx
One of the many romps put on Dallas in the Andy Reid era .
Laughing at all horse collars 😂 Back before Roy Williams injured TO

His head coach tried to force a non precision passer into a precision required offense, and it made him look really bad when he wasn't on.
He did great without a real #1 receiver for so long and when TO came to town it was going to be fireworks.
He was overrated. He was a choke artist and had a top ranked defense to carry him.
@@hitek9too255 At different times of his career, no one did more with less in the beginning.... and then, no one did less with more at the end. Major learning experience for Andy Reid.
9:42 McNabb being McNabb
He was such a beast. As an Eagles fan, it’s honestly pathetic how bad half the fanbase treats him
@rich4446 honestly I believe it's because he wasn't the best leader, but nobody can deny his ability.
TO obviously a beast but I’m blown away what a nightmare McNabb is he’s Hall of Fame caliber just didn’t have the longevity.
When he was on he was great, but he had a lot of problems, and a lot of them were self inflicted. plus injuries.
he played like 15 years lol

The 2000s look like the 90s!! We just never realized it back then
I miss Andy Reid. Imagine if him and McNabb had the Eagles oline and their receivers today. Unstoppable.
The oline was damn good back then too. But yes, outside of Owens the receivers stunk. McNabb with AJ Brown and Devonte Smith…. My god.
9:42 classic play
Vintage mcnabb!
I bought a homemade dvd of this game a long time ago. I've watched it many, many times.
We should have won the sb that year.
18:06 Terrible overthrow…LOL

@@thespy7795 I’ve seen games from 2000 that aren’t nearly this good, quality wise. I think it’s a good question, actually.
I was at this game, Epic game. The play McNabb to Freddie in real time felt like he was scrabbling around for minutes.
Good ole NFC East football
First play from scrimmage: “They’ve been throwing the ball more than they have been passing it.” Lol
Eh yeah that's just legend commentary from Al
He was probably talking about their overall passing stats up to this point in the season.
Man I miss the Al Michaels and Madden called games

The Eagles receivers were destroying the cowboys secondary.
Totally forgot Eddie George was on the cowboys at the end
Lol me too
That McNabb to TO connection was crazy!! Ninjas should of figured that out. Witten was killing us that game but what a classic eagles ass whooping 🦅
Man what a blowout
3:13 this play though....
That strip was crazy 😂
Never gets old, Dallas already missed the SB for 28 years at this point😂 Can’t wait to beat up on them this year
Bro did you just wanna say something ??? 😂😂😂

God I miss old school football
This is hardly "old school".
i'm an Eagles fan, but there's no pride in winning against Testeverde. it's basically a scrimmage
9:54 YOU CAN’T DENI THAT MAN HAD AN ARM!!! On a slow run, he waz able to BOMB 💣 IT 50sum yards RIT to the receiver!! AMAZING CATCH!!
one of the strongest arms ever, he could throw the ball 80 yards no lie
Back when McNabb would actually run with it
5&81 together were unstoppable.
This eagles team was very good too bad TO couldn’t have stayed longer
Gosh, I miss John Madden.
What a fun era of football. It had a lot of letdowns, but they fielded playoff teams for a decade straight
Pinkston, Lewis… brings back a lot of memories
Watching it: 20 yrs later. Dallas actually competed in this game more than I remember…
Monster Game for t.o 🔥
Brian Westbrook was one of my favorite players during that era
God rest your beautiful soul Madden
Jason written was the cowboys whole offense. 🤦🏿♂️
So it was Witten....
Crazy how romo was just cooling on the bench lol
3rd and 1 and Reid calls a
30 yard pass play. Major reason why that team never won a Super Bowl with him as the coach
holy shit that was beautiful 9:41
I was at the game. Good times
Damn i miss that team
Yes loved watching this game!!!
McNabb is the reason I'm an Eagles fan... the more I watch these old clips of him, the more I realize Mahomes is today's better version
now imagine if mahomes got hit like mcnabb did.

T.o was the best wide receiver of all time
4:04 Terence Newman was always great at run support, especially early on in his career

How mark just take the ball lol, I remember this

Love AJ but T.O. looked best in green.
Always enjoy watching Dallas lose
It’s scary how much hurts is like mcnabb
I like Hurts a lot, but he isn't nearly as talented as McNabb. Donovan had a lot more athletic ability, arm strength, and creativity.
not really. McNabb had a gun for an arm, Hurts doesn't.
I agree but I do like Hurts composure slightly more than mcnabb. Also he have less of ego personality. He have a ego but it more in control. Due to him getting cut from Alabama
