I find it curious that the wave 3 9th Doctor sonic has a green handle. If we're being uber technical , then 9's sonic is the one with the cream handle, while 10's is the one with the grey handle. Since Character Options' more recent 10th Doctor sonics have the grey handle, hopefully in future they'll market the cream handled ones as 9's, as it should be.
The only reason it's green is Character apparently thought the original prop was blue, yes, BLUE. It was not, Character are idiots. Even if it was blue, the toy is a bloody mint green! The only thing close to a blue 2005 sonic was The Eleventh Hour when the prop was touched up with blue emotion on accident, but that was with 11, not 9! Ugh, but at the end of the day these are toys, not prop replicas.
@@SofiaFox That said I do like the green colour. Been thinking of dabbling in Doctor Who fanfiction. Maybe I could create an OC Time Lord or Lady who uses a sonic that looks like the 9th/10th Doctor's but with a green handle. For 9th Doctor cosplay, I recommend the sonic that comes with the Amazon sonic screwdriver collection. That has a beige handle and black helix, making it accurate for the prop used early in series 1, before it was repainted grey.
I had the one that came with the "Monsters" DVD set, for all of about two weeks, i lost it, turned out it was in my pants pocket when I did my laundry, found it again, speaker doesn't work well, light works fine, i have it opened up for repairs, and am curious what speaker it takes, i also got a war doctor Sonic as a replacement.
@@customlegosonics5568 there's a collection set you can buy that includes multiple different Sonics, and the 9/10 ones in that set have these newer sliders, but I don't think they ever reissued the 50th one on its own with the new slider. only in that set, which is expensive and rare
what color would you say that blue one is, like a turquoise? I kinda want to paint mine that color, let me know if you can, I'm absolutely in love with that sonic but can't find it anywhere so I may just customize one.
It’s sort of a mint blue/green but I’m honestly not to sure man. tomisgay Well it was released in Wave 3 as The Ninth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver, but technically the Ninth Doctors Sonic was never actually blue. So i like to think of it as the Eleventh Doctors version of this model of sonic screwdriver instead. Because the only time this version of the sonic appears to be slightly blue is in The Eleventh Hour, so that’s why I’ve swapped out the black wires for the yellow 😁😉

Can you try time lord victorious sonic screwdriver so it can slide up and down, as in customise it the both colours versions of the day of the doctor and the eleventh hour like cream and blue handle
Hello there, I personally wanted to put the 11th doctor sound chip into mine 50th anniversary 10th doctor sonic. So I was wondering..could you please tell me where the sound chip is in the 11th doctors sonic is? I know that in the 10th is above the batteries but in the 11th? Any help would be appreciated.
@@James_Ravenscroft It has been discontinued months ago. I have it since the anniversary was new. You can get a newer version with newer bottom bold in the collectors sonic set. Currently for 45USD. The one thing it has worse though is the black helix. Or search ebay. But I have only mannaged to find the new...for 40USD. Just try your luck.

Had that one for a long time now, it's actually one of the first Sonics that i ever got. They pop up for sale on ebey from time to time. 😁

Yeah that version was released around 2005-2006, the only placed you'd be able to find one now is probably eBay.

A small phillips head screwdriver to take off the slider and battery cap, then just use a paperclip and push the batteries out :)
