    Hello Melon. Thank you for the great video. My 2007 BMW 750LI will not start. The car had been working with no problems except that it was hard to start sometimes. No lurching or fluctuating idle or hesitation when driving. I cranks but will not start. I replaced the IVM module and car crankly powerfully but no start. What could be the issue. Please help. Thank you.

    How long should pump prime when turn on ignition? Is it any fuel pressure sensor for checking the pressure?

    • @voodoomelons
      @voodoomelons  Год назад

    what type of problems were you having to make you think it was the fuel pump? I think mine is going bad.

    You see that brown hose connected to fuel pump and module. It cracks over time replaced with fuel ejection hose with two hose clamps solved my long cranking starts.

      BangBro I remember it giving a camshaft position sensor error, got a new one and didn't fix the problem. New fuel pump did. Not sure it threw a code at all.

    Thank you for your great information ,Melon and I am going to check my car
    I have similar problem, it wont start right away after parking long hour
    what was its symptom ?
    what voltage does it come to SBSR? was the airbag light on?
    you check to see if it has 9V at pin 4, and 1 at Fuel pump with ignition on?
    any suggestion on SBSR removal?
    Thanks for your sharing

      +autor Hi there. My airbag light was not on. My SBSR module was not faulty, even though I removed it to check it (to check solder joints etc inside). Yes check for voltage on fuel pump connector to confirm there is power getting to the pump on ignition. Can you hear the pump charging when you unlock the car?

      +Voodoo Melon ,
      Melon,
      I'm not familiar with the noise from pump charging, can you educate me?
      I guess you weren't able to start your car at all, am I correct?
      my case , I have to check the power supply to the pump when I cant start my car .
      Do you have any suggestion on SBSR removal?
      Thanks

      +autor Before my pump failed, when I unlocked the car, the fuel pump would "prime", ie, it would run for a few seconds to get fuel pressure to the engine. It was very loud for 6 months before it failed. WHen I replaced it, the noise is very very quiet.
      COrrect, my car would not start at all.
      SBSR removal is explained in the video.
      I would plug in a code scanner before removing parts, see if you have a bad camshaft position sensor or something similar.

    Is that blue line at the top of the fuel pump the return line? If not where is it located at?

    Where do I siphon the fuel from? Under the seat or from the filler on the side?

    • @voodoomelons
      @voodoomelons  4 года назад

      Easy enough to do it from under the seat.

    Thanks for telling us that the 7 Series doesn't have a FUEL Pump Relay. It has a Module instead. I'm considering purchasing a 7 series. It will be a challenge- repairing the most sophisticated Car in the World.

    • @voodoomelons

      You just use a flat blade screw driver and a hammer.

    Question hopefully can get back to me quick. This looks like the same fuel pump assembly you can get on eBay for about 60 to $80? A parts house just for the fuel pump itself once 300. Is this what you bought? 2007 750 l i

      There was so many conflicting part numbers out there, I just made a rare trip to the dealer and ordered it there. With a 15% discount it was around €350 I think.
