Hubby came in to see what I was giggling about... and in his eyes, boobies on a journal are a good thing! Luise, I don't think you even begin to realise what you do for others with your videos... At the beginning of this year, I was emotionally and mentally exhausted, there had just been so much happening over the last few years, not just the pandemic, but a bunch of other things too. As you know, when you are emotionally and mentally exhausted, you become creatively exhausted too. I had no 'mojo', I had no will or desire to create. I was doing a bit of knitting, but it felt like I was just going through the motions. Then, one evening I stumbled across your video about the journal in the washing machine and I just started laughing, like I hadn't laughed in a long time. And suddenly something clicked in my head. All of a sudden I wanted to start creating again. I got into my craft room, started sorting through things and sat and started 'making'. After a couple of days, my hubby looked at me and said to me 'Your eyes are shining again, you look happy'. And I realised I WAS happy! So I want to say a huge big thank you to you for all the time and effort you put into each of your videos and how much of yourself you share with us. But most of all I want to say thank you for what you did for me, without even knowing you were doing it. Thank you so very, very much.🥰
Ta-Da!!!😂😂😂 I think I woke up the neighborhood when I squealed when you were done, because I was so happy for you. 😂. You, my sweet friend, are a genius, with a special patience to stick with the task til it’s completed. I love putting things together from scratch like that too. It’s my happy place. That dangle that didn’t want to be a dangle, is so pretty!!! The person who sent you that package of goodies is so thoughtful! Now you can play more til your move is over. You, sweet soul, have just made my extra hard, painful day better than I could have imagined. When I watch you, you bring rays of sunshine and giggles into my life Luise! Keep sparkling sweetie, because you bring such joy into the lives of so many people every video. I wish I could meet you in person and have a coffee together. That would be a highlight for me. Love you bunches!!! ❤✨🕉🫂🌞🙋🏻♀️🌹
Luise, I really, really enjoyed this video!! I empathized with you over your struggles, sometimes hollerin' at my computer, Luise, just bite the dern thing and it will go closed, or whispering use a bread twist tie, or other helpful suggestions, but then realized that you couldn't hear me as well you recorded this b4 I watched it so it was pointless to holler at my computer. Then I got to thinkin' that maybe in Germany you don't have little pieces of plastic coated wire to hold your bread packages shut. There are so many little insignificant somethings that likely exist in one Country and not in another Country. I too have to struggle a lot, especially at 67 years old, my vision isn't what it should be, and sometimes my brains want to give up long b4 I've solved the problem I'm strugglin' with. I guess that's why I so enjoyed this video. You kept at it 'til you worked it out to your likin'! I like your bead/tassel dingle dangle. You done good!!
You are quite correct Luise - Winnie-the-Pooh is a boy bear. The original illustrations are by E.H. Shepard mainly in pen and ink and they are delightful - Disney ruined the illustrations in my view by turning the animals into brightly coloured cartoon characters. Winnie-the-Pooh is real and was owned by Christopher Robin and they lived in Ashdown Forest, in East Sussex where I grew up. The card you have depicts an original illustration. I still love all the Pooh stories even though I am now ancient! I think the card makes a lovely addition to your journal.❤❤
I had to google Winnie-the-Pooh. According to a BBC article, the real black bear he was named after was a female named Winnie. The cartoon however, was always a male. 🤷🏻♀️
I am in awe of your creation. You're so enduring and tender hearted. I love your videos!! Thank you for the inspiration. I look at your ideas and find new ways of creating junk journals. Thank you for taking the time to share a part of your life with us.
This video is such a great depiction of “a day in the life…” Not all of our JJ days go as expected. I loved watching you work it out with so few of your products available. WhT a perfect happy mail at a perfect time. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
Thank heavens that the happy mail came while you were deciding how to create the dingle-dangle. I kept hollering at you to grab the other wrapped stuff that ended out being wire because it looked thinner, but you couldn’t hear me. Glad the wire was in the box, so we didn’t have to join you in freaking out. Your piece is very cute. I’m glad you were able to get these round beads at the construction site! I found a broken piece of costume jewelry in the parking lot of a big warehouse store. Tickled to find it and still am waiting for the perfect time to use it. Like you, we’re all looking forward to the day when you are all moved in and settled in your new crafting area in Germany. I still have so many packed boxes in my new art room, just waiting for the furniture to finally be here, so we can get the space set up, supplies put away, and I can get back into making art! Hang in there, Luise.
I thought I would add just a little more to my previous comment...As a Sussex girl in the UK who as a child lived not far from where the real Christopher Robin lived on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, I hope I can bring some local knowledge….Whilst Winnie-the-Pooh is partly inspired by a female bear called Winniepeg, he is male in the books. Christopher Robin is not a fictional character, he is the actual son of A.A. Milne who wrote the books. Winnie-the-Pooh whilst a character in the books is also a very real stuffed toy male bear owned by Christopher Robin, as are the other characters in the book - most are childhood toys of Christopher Robin. All male except Kanga. As a child I have walked in the Real 100 acre wood and played Pooh Sticks off the actual bridge that Christopher Robin and Pooh played the game. Sadly, the real Pooh bear, Piglet, Kanga and loveable Eeyore have been languishing in a museum in America since 1987, so very far from home. Well, that is the longest comment I have ever made on RUclips, but hope it helps out with some of the history surrounding W-the-P, that lovelable silly old bear. xx
You are so so inspiring. I love your journal and how you have managed to turn items you have found (items most of us would put in the bin and regard as rubbish ) into beautiful magical pages and objects like the dangle. I love your channel and eagerly await every videos as each one is a learning opprtunity and the result at the end is always amazing. Thank you so so much for sharing your art and passion ❤i am so happy to have found your channel about a year ago.
You said a word in German that I know!!! It was one of the first words that I felt was important to know when we visited Hochheim where my husband spent many years of his childhood. Entschuldigung toilette!🤣😂🤣 You are so talented and make your videos so fun to watch. Can’t wait to see your new craft room. Take care ❤
I am very much enjoying your thought processes along the way. I think it is okay to add some of the happy mail to your project instead of relying only upon construction site debris. It is part of the experience you are going through and living with the knowledge of friends and the community reaching out with love and support. The cards and the package seem to arrive at the moment you are in need of that connection.
You are a junk journaling rock star!! Thank you for being so committed and creating in these difficult circumstances. I moved a few years ago so I can imagine what you are going through. Hope you get your space sorted out soon. I love Pooh and Piglet. The character of Winnie the Pooh was created by Milne as a male and based on his son’s teddy bear, but the name Winnie was taken from a female bear they visited at the London Zoo.
Luise, I enjoyed this video so much! You made my day! Your perseverance is admirable for sure! Your 'moving journal' is amazing! I can relate to your struggles with creating interesting pages, but you always pull through and end up making wonderful creations. Thank you so much for keeping it real! ❤
love following along with you dear has been wonderful and Thanks for sharing your journey with us ,love how it is working out very inspiring 💖 edit and I am sure Winnie is a boy bear
Luise, you gave me great pause when you said that someone told you Winnie-the-poo was a girl!!!! It just made my whole perception of this world go askew a little! Although names that end in ‘ie’ most often mean feminine… in this case it just can’t be!! This Winnie just has to be a boy!!! He just HAS to be! And when you told us that a fruit fly fell into your coffee, it made me think, ‘Who knew that fruit flies could provide extra protein!’ Haha!!! You crack me up!!! 😂🥰 I would have quit trying to thread that thread WAAAAY before you! My nerves were shot just watching you! I think I would have given up! ❤ But you are so patient, and what a great encouragement to show us how to just keep trying! Good for you!!! Thank you!
Louise, now I can't unsee those as boobies, with tassels and all. If I had to do them in respect to mine at my age, they would be dingledangling all over the spine HAHAHAH Sorry, but you started it... 🤣 Much Love!
Thanks happy mail sender..Great for dingle dangel how many times can we say that continuously lol. Again you are proving that the mind of a junk journalist is above average. So thankful you love doing your junk journal on you tube, the way you video while talking through your process is so nice. It’s like you say you’re talking like we’re in the same room. Also, you could have had a little protein with your snack and coffee if you accidentally drank the tiny flying accident. Hope this makes you smile!!!❤
Hi Luise some days only chocolate with do!😂😂 . We have lots of flies here in Australia. They land in and on everything. I love how you're going with your journal and so inspiring to me. I'm so excited to get more adventurous with my journal making. I must say that I also love your sense of humor. Val Australia 🐨 💖
Hey! In Norway we have used the word "dingeldangel" thru many generations😊 We use it about the same things as you do, but also about other kinds of stuff that we dont have words for .....like lots of different small things gathered in a drawer .......we then say "the drawer is full of "dingeldangel" !!😊
Love learning new German words with you Luise. You might be interested to know that we have an extremely similar word here in the UK which is Dingle-Dangle and it has been in use here since at least 1632! and has the same meaning as in German. I feel a Renaissance journal coming on......I shall away to my art room and have a ponder...❤
Winnie the Pooh is a boy according to the writer of the story. Dingle dangle is used in English as well, traditionally as something that hangs freely as a decoration! I love watching you pull the bits and bobs you have in front of you, into a very special journal!💕🇨🇦
Bahhahaha😂😂😂😂😂runnin the risk of drinking a fruit fly! Totally something i would do! If you love coffee, ya love coffee and a teeny fly isnt a big deal
Winnie the Pooh is a boy bear! Anyone who thinks this looks easy is crazy. You have the patience of a saint! This is going to be a wonderful memory for you.
Good to see how you add your unusual items. While busy with your house move I was thinking it would maybe help if you could do your german video then take the sound off and replace with an english voiceover to save your precious time? Don't know if it can be done but we do appreciate the time you take to show us! Thanks x
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, that could be done. But I don't like that. With doing a voice over it doesn't feel like sitting at the same desk with you anymore. I only do that when there's absolutely no other way...
Luise..between dingle dangles, boobies and fruit flies..you had me laughing so hard. You killed the fly. Too funny. So much fun watching you create. ❤Nebraska
Winnie -the-Pooh was written by a father for his son. He was inspired by his sons imagination. As was the way in those days females were pretty much ignored guessing Roo only got in as it was a novelty to have a joey in her pouch.
Luisa you make me laugh. I wasn’t going to say this but as you brought up Boobies. Growing up in England as a kid we used to call mens privates Dingle Dangles. So I kept laughing because when you hear what you are saying in concept with what we said as kids its so funny xxx

On another note, my boobies are dingldangl's in themselves, so I can't reference them as per your suggestion for my journal. I know....too much information! ❤
Luise... give yourself some grace. Your apartment needs to come first for a bit. If I were going through what you're going through and I had to put my work clients on hold for a few days or so, my clients would understand. And quit calling yourself stupid. Nothing dumb about you.
Hubby came in to see what I was giggling about... and in his eyes, boobies on a journal are a good thing!

Oh girl , the fly part is so funny. I'm sure some people will flip out but I'm country and some things just happen .
Luise, thats a master piece, you solve your problems so quickly, enjoying this immensely, thank you.
Your happy mail held such treasures (fuzzy tassels etc.) that I, too, felt like crying. Luise, you seem to live in a magical world!

In the southeast US we call that type of fly a "drunkard". They fly really slow and lazily but are still such a pest. Otherwise known as fruitflies.

Hmm. Perhaps it is part of my German heritage, but I told the pup to hold still yesterday because he had a dingle-dangle. :D
Hahaha. Boobies on a journal especially with dingle dangles on. Like a strip tease artist. The rosettes are called yo yos in Australia, but in New Zealand and England we call them Suffolk puffs.
Winnie the Poo is definitely a boy teddy. I think most teddies are boys.
Your journal looks amazing and I love that you don't have all the equipment you need as you have to be more innovative. I have arthritis so tying and wrapping takes lots of effort.
I really love watching you figure this out
Me too - so I use bulb pins a lot - and tweezers for wrapping/tying etc. We just have to be more inventive when crafting...lol
Perhaps safety pins or some kind of pre-made rings or so could help?
Hi Luise!, I almost like just one bottle cap. But the three in a line is ok too!. Perhaps consider the word RIGID.
Winnie-the-Pooh is a boy, as is Piglet. WTP is the best friend forever of Christopher Robin who is a real boy. The WTP stories are by the British author A A Milne. You should be able to find the original stories easily enough. Disney came along and commercialized the stories for good or for bad. However I prefer the original illustrations, but I don't recall who the artist is.
Eyelet rhymes with Piglet!!
Pooh Bear is definitely a boy.. cannot convince me otherwise
Consider the word DISK.
Consider the word GNAT? Godd addition of protien in your coffee.

You’ve just added a little meat to your coffee lol
LUISE!! Did you make the connection between the bees on your little fabric yo-yo and Winnie the Pooh who loves honey? That shows you how small (or huge?) my mind is LOL. On another note, my boobies are dingldangl's in themselves, so I can't reference them as per your suggestion for my journal. I know....too much information! ❤
I agree with you 100% Disney’s Pooh is awful.
Luise... give yourself some grace. Your apartment needs to come first for a bit. If I were going through what you're going through and I had to put my work clients on hold for a few days or so, my clients would understand. And quit calling yourself stupid. Nothing dumb about you.
My question is who does Luise know that has boobie rings?
🤣
