- Here’s a list of several fragrances I’ve used up and what I learned whilst on my mission to finish them. Some i plan to replace while others will remain fond memories.

About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / insense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

I’ve had a few empties in my years of collecting. I’ve had a few accidents and I’ve purchased very few backup bottles. My collection just seems to grow.
The bottle I didn’t name was Tocade by Rochas (Maurice Roucel). Notes Geranium, Freesia, Bergamot, Green Notes; Rose, Iris, Orchid, Magnolia, Jasmine, Lily-of-the-Valley, Vanilla, Amber, Patchouli, Musk and Cedar

Samples are about the only things I finish these days. 😵💫 Recently had an ancient sample of Lipstick Rose from FM somehow get entirely siphoned from the vial into the cap. 🤣 I didn't even know that could happen! Like literally, all the juice was in the cap surrounding the atomizer despite the thing being right-side-up for ages. 🤪 The magic of physics I guess.

Interesting video Claire - firstly, your hair is looking fabulous. I lasted two months before I got my hair coloured again, the regrowth just got to me. I recently finished my bottle of Perris Monte Carlo Ylang Ylang Nosy Be and I ordered another bottle. I love this perfume for the warmer weather and the upcoming summer here in Australia is supposed to be very hot.
Her hair looks great. I had my hairdresser strip the colour and dye mine grey to make the growing out process easier.
Thanks Kellie I just had a few extra bleach highlights put through the middle as it was so dark still with odd white hairs but I know the pain of the re growth.
I would have to reorder Ylang Nosey Be again too, it’s definitely a “lifer” for me. I wish I could come to Oz for your summer, it’s getting so chilly and rainy here 🥶
I wanted to do this but being so dark and curly it would have ruined the condition but instead I had old fashioned cap highlights with bleach then toner so it only damaged some hair! Made it so much easier for sure. Congratulations on giving up the dye it’s such a great feeling.
@@SmurfygurlyI have never liked the cold Claire and the older I get, the more I don’t like it. I just feel that once the cold gets into my bones, nothing I seem to do can get me warm again 🥺
I just use them up. No need to hold a little bit. When it get too low. I intentionally use them up.
I want to buy dior Homme perfum what is your opinion is it worth it for men
It’s right up there as one of my favourite men’s fragrances of all time. It’s a bit pricey but performance is excellent and the quality in my opinion is better than a lot of niche fragrances so as long as you enjoy it then it’s totally worth it ✅
I have not smelled Tocade but I do have Woman in Gold, which is AMAZING! I wish I could empty some bottles. The closest I've got is also with Neroli Portofino (my second bottle...will there be a third?) as well as my Zoologist Bee travel spray (but I have a full bottle waiting 😄).

@@Smurfygurly I have and I do like it. I find that it doesn't last quite as long on my skin, but it's cheaper and so you can spray more often. 😁 I still slightly prefer the EDP because it is the one I fell in love with years ago. It was my first niche fragrance (if you don't count Jo Malone).
It gets a weird siphon effect. You have to decant it into another bottle when it starts that up.
Yeah I definitely lost a bit of juice there!
I get a little anxiety when I see I have little left in the bottle and I don’t empty it. I did it with Santal majuscule but after watching you’re video it makes me rethink what I’m doing
I think the thing to remember is that we get our enjoyment from wearing the perfume not having it sitting on a shelf or in a drawer.
