Regarding to the FPS counter, check if G-Sync is disabled. For me, G-Sync doesn't work with dual monitor setup and I need to turn off the second monitor in order to get it working.
Expensive piece of sh.t! ;-)
While I don't have an OLED monitor myself, I do have an OLED laptop and it's absolutely phenomenal. The colors are beautiful with extremely deep blacks and high brightness. You could absolutely tell the difference with common IPS panels even those with high color gamut coverage. I'm excited to finally buy an OLED monitor one day, but sadly it's too damn expensive at the moment.
Yep, even my basic LG oled A1 is so nice. So even cheap, well cheapest oled TV ever, looks great. In fact due to inflation etc they dont even sell the newer LG A2 for same price.
Ips is a joke
@@anuzahyder7185 In comparison to OLED it most certainly is. I believe now I’ll be getting an OLED desktop monitor sometime this year, it is time.
same I have an oled lappy too
@@prla5400 Likewise, and IPS is just so flat in comparison.
Quick correction: You can adjust the OLED "burn-in" settings. You have to press the lower middle button on the remote. You can adjust the level of screen move (moves at different intervals), screen saver mode, screen cleaning (on or off), and pixel cleaning (on or off). With screen and pixel cleaning on, the monitor will perform cleaning after your monitor is on for a length of time on shutdown.
that less brightness thing will that happen when you're gaming? and what setting is it that does that also is it really needed? the other settings ill leave just more curious about that one specifically
How were you able to get to the OLED Care settings? Whenever, I press the middle button you were talking about. It said the function was unavailable.
@@a2k610 Press the button with the rectangle and horizontal line below it. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Reach out to LG directly if that's the case. That's the only way I know to get to the settings.
@@Sarity2.0I don’t think it would be too noticeable depending on how much it changes as I game on my consoles on an OLED TV and that hasn’t changed the experience
You can turn off power saving and a few other burn-in prevention features, that will also remove or reduce how drastic the auto dimm and brightness mitigation is.
From my experience the "FPS" counter on my QD-OLED is actually a refresh rate counter. It would change if you have free synce on.
I have a lg monitor its exactly that
@@andraz201 In my case, during some games the counter follows the framerate of the game, but then somewhere else it's always at maximum refresh rate.

But I cant make out any screentears either.
@@user-pc1er8zy7c probably something to do if VRR is on or in range or not, i dont regularly use it so im not sure

@@kareemelbrashy1478 I actually have the DWF and I absolutely love it. Best monitor I've ever seen.
Remote dependency is a hard no for me. Back to the drawing board with this one, LG.
Its easier to replace the remote than to ship the monitor if the control knob on the monitor goes bad. What are you going to do if the knob goes bad? Like the remote..
@@Gremlin256 I never had control buttons or knobs on any of my monitors go bad. even the ones on my old 4:3 LCD screen from like 20 years ago still work just fine but I have ocationally lost or misplaced remote controls.
@Michael Hoffmann You do not :) but there are people who handle stuff rough ( like my 9 year old ;) ) ..I have the remote velcroed behind the screen so It does not go any where
@@Enakaji I never even use the power button/settings button on my g7 32 inch so its fine. I would prob get this monitor in the future and the remote won't get lost💀Just put it on top of your desk and your good. It aint a tv
It comes in handy changing inputs between consoles and pc quickly. I love mine.
Velcro the remote to the back of the monitor so you never lose it, and you can just leave it there and adjust stuff if needed
I still have long term concerns about OLED… Burn in primarily. It would be great if you can revisit this in like 2-3 years… But I would totally understand it if you didn’t. Product life cycles and new releases basically make that kind of thing impractical. Edit : 8:55 well, my concern partially addressed LOL
ruclips.net/video/7TMyUDKqWWI/видео.html
This video shows an OLED nintendo switch that has its screen turned on for 1 year straight, screen burn in didnt seem that bad
Same for me as someone that uses their screens 15+ hours every single day with mostly static or slow moving content burn in is something concerns me a lot considering the huge prices for these screens unless there is a burn in warranty then I'd rather save for a neo g7 as a good middle ground monitor some day or even never given the Australian pricing is crazy high.
I feel like if LG can provide at least 5 years warranty on this OLED display with zero dead pixel coverage like those Dell Ultrasharp monitors, then people will be willing to gamble on this new stuff.
If they have the same tech inside this monitor like they do in the TVs, I wouldn't be too worried about it. I've had the LG C2 for 2 months now and came close to burn in last week because I went to bed before turning off the PC. Computer never went into sleep mode for some reason and I have a black and white checker board background. A little bit of burn in happened when I woke up about 14 hours later. It wasn't too bad, but noticeable. Got rid of it with the OLED Care feature.
I have LG C7 oled TV I got 2018 and no burnins still after 5 years of use. It's on mostly every day. I doubt you would ever get burnins on quality oled screens. It has also pixel shift protection. You can only burn OLED quality screen if you will use it 24h on and static image on it, otherwise no chance.
As an OLED owner for 4 years now, once you have it, you can not look at anyhting else. I just grabbed a lcd LG 38" ultrawide for business use with an ips panel and it looks awful compared to OLED.
I sent back my gp27u 4k @ 160hz fald because when you enabled local dimming it added input lag so to get the speed and response I was used to I had to disable it then it had other issues so I might be losing out on 4k on this monitor but it has none of the other problems and best of all its a very fast panel fastest I ever used and no blooming it will really be nice when we get a 4k 32'' version with 240hz oled or better
I feel like most people this monitor is directed at already have 240hz 1440p, it's a pretty big upgrade from what I can tell from online stuff but I don't think many will buy it compared to other 240hz monitors
I think its for someone in my position. I've been running a acer predator xb271hu gsync 165hz ips since 2016 or so. Haven't seen anything worth upgrading to untill this.
@@durstroyer3924 Yeah, but I mean 165-240 is a decent jump, but going from a 240hz 1440 or even 360 1440 to this just isn't worth it, idk though I only own an 80hz 1440 monitor
@@Wiisporter bro how are you saying it's not worth it when you have a 80hz monitor lmao
Whoever typed this needs an education
@@phrog322 For someone who has a 240hz monitor it isn't. Would be worth it for me since I have an 80hz monitor
The brightness decrease is a power limit, not a anti-burn in feature
I am waiting for the first 32" 4K OLED HDR that will come on a below 1000 bucks price. Everything else is very expensive or small for my desk or not good enough to replace my monitors.
I won't spend 1000 or more for something that it doesn't cover my needs or I don't really need.
In Australia its now law to have screws on remotes that use button batteries so that it can't fall out and a baby eats it.......
This is a first Gen panel that I am sure some enthusiasts will buy, I and many others will wait for the 2nd of 3rd gen Revisions as the prices will come down and all the issues will be fixed.
We can hope it comes fast - Crazy I bought an LG A1 Oled 55 inch TV for almost half the price of what this will cost in my country.
@@Djuntas and that A1 does have the processing power that this monitor or the C1/C2 TV has. Sure, you have a 4K OLED TV but that isn’t geared towards high performance gaming either.
@@Djuntas This monitor will be $1500+ in my country
@@theklap7070 Oh didnt know if the TVs and monitors shares same chip. But regardless price will matter the most, and right now I cant even find retail price in Denmark for it - But the alienware one is like 9500 danish kroner which is like 1300 dollars.
It's actually something like LG's third gen OLED from what I read, but yeah, it's their first in this form factor
I want this monitor but I also went to a 32" 4K during 2020 and now I'm really used to all that extra screen space compared to my old 1440p. A 32" 4K version of this would be perfect!
360hz is diminishing returns lmao
Only if it will come at around 700-900$ price. I would buy 2 the first moment. We have to wait for a few years. Till then my AG352UCG6 is still good enough. I am not a pro - competitive gamer
once display 2.0(1) comes about we might actually gen one here's hoping!
@@SaiyanSatsuki Recent GPUs support DP 2.1 so it's up to monitor makers! Otherwise I guess we're stuck at 120Hz. 4K 360Hz isn't happening any time soon.
I am using one and holding it until we get 32'' 4k 240hz oled this is easily faster than my c9 oled tv that only does 120hz
I think you can turn off the eco mode or energy save to prevent the dimming
Yeah, that or u have to use their stupid service remote like the LG oled TVs
I love lg monitors and own 27" 1440p 144hz and 180hz ultragears. The thing with the oled that has me on the fence is that its fast enough but too dark for competitive shooters, then looks great for single player games but they dont need high refresh low latency. Either way you're paying for something you don't need unless thats your thing. Its in a weird spot and it sucks to say it but im probably not going to buy one and I want to. I play FPS games so i need to see into the dark areas and from what ive seen so far that isnt happening. If I get an xbox then id consider getting an oled tv and play single player on that chilling on the couch and enjoy movies and tv as well.
I've played EFT on this display and haven't really had any issues
this monitor is bad
when will your oled burn thats the question. start worrying now.
You aren't SOL if you lose the remote. LG's "OnScreen Control" software does everything a normal interface will. But yes I agree. Terrible design choice going with a remote only physical setup. I have owned many LG gaming monitors and their control joystick is one of the best. Stupid idea to get rid of it especially on a flagship monitor.
Make sure you disable smart energy mode. Brightness is a lot better with it turned off
IMO, Alienware's AW3423DWF QD-OLED is more worth the money. You can get it under $1000 with coupons/rebates on the Dell site. 34 inches, Ultrawide(that you can turn into a normal aspect ratio if you want), 165hz on the Alienware is honestly not much of a difference in terms of clarity and input lag. It already has near instant pixel response times. NOTICE: this is my opinion and not facts. Take this as you want.
Lil nob has to be your rap name. Or Lil nibblet (definitely what I’m using to refer to the control stick)
You can use onscreen control to adjust the setting. You dont need the remote
Making the remote a point of failure for being able to use a +1000€ 27" monitor and it already has something rattling on the inside... so you know already that design and quality control are an issue *slow clap*
They also use the same signal as their TV remotes, so if you have an LG TV in the same room or sort of nearby, you'll likely have your monitor turn on or off.
I'm surprised they don't have software to change the monitor settings considering there is no joystick or buttons.
Love the remote.. so the knob on the monitor goes bad
They have it
This monitor has great specs. Not too big and not too small. Ideal refresh rate, although I’m a bit concerned about the brightness. Furthermore how high is the power consumption? Energy prices really took a turn 2022 in Europe, which is a bigger concern now

650 dollars in the 35-40 inch range and oled, qled, either way. I would be down for it. Refresh doesnt have to be 120 htz, because I have never had that, so 60 is adequate for me.
Why do they go with the matte layer? It doesn't look near as good as glossy. Glare is actually worse on matte compared to my alienware OLED.
I never buy from LG but I should cause they make some good monitors
Other people all say it's too dim and text readability isn't good.
I mean these are the gen1 product of its class and this for those who want to beta test for LG and other brand names. I expect the Gen4 or 5 is the one that most consumers will adopt towards to.
If I’m using Xbox series a should I buy this????
I was expecting a little bit more quality and features and less pricey, but just because i am naive.
You my friend, are doing just great
The monitor sucks I have one sitting on my desk. It’s not bright enough and the colors look dull in my opinion. Swapped it out for a LG GP950 and enough the brightness and colors much more

There is a new law in the US that all devices with button type batteries must be screwed in, it seems small kids find them appealing to put in their mouth and eat.
"It's got RGB on the back!" But is it OLED RGB? If not, that's no good. I'd return the monitor.
I just wish they made a 32" version 4k version
Brett, don’t you dare tell me Christmas isn’t real. I too have been waiting..
I own this and love it. There's ways the make it even brighter.
by turning off the energy saving mode?
Wonder if the screw in the remote is a regulatory requirement in some country so they made it the same for all.
If that is the case why wouldn’t they just use standard batteries? There are other products that use those disc type batteries that the battery can be taken out without any tools.
Probably been said but if a kid eats one of those battery's its deadly so LG is just covering themselves from Law Suits.
I WANTS THIS MONITOR....
And for those wondering my 8600k+3060ti runs Cyberpunk at around 60-90 FPS you just need to tweak your settings and use DLSS.
Keep the remote it is a good Idea, I’m tired of using the buttons the whole time moving between three devices
LG considers burn ins as improper usage and their warranty does not covering it.
Read manual and think twice before buying it.
Oh yes, I can see the outstanding quality and contrast of this monitor on my simple led screen.
yeah me too. I can tell how good the blacks are even through RUclips.
Nice picture, but won't be paying $1000 for a monitor without a niblet in case of lost remote.
Opportunity for Ebay sellers if they can stock up on remotes for the future when LG no longer makes it..
I have two LG displays and they both have something loose rattling inside. I'm assuming its some wire that didn't get plugged in cuz it didn't need to be.
I already got a LG C2 4k tv/monitor. Yes it is only 120hz but it is 4k versus 1440p. Even got it for 900 versus 1k.
Still no 32" 4K QD-OLED monitor 😔. I'll prefer the Alienware 34" Ultrawide to this 27" 16:9 monitor. I consider 27" the bare minimum size, but beyond 40" is just impractical.
32 inch wud be great. Now im
Playing on 55inch qd oled tv but for comp shooters i wud prefer 32. This particular oled wud also be too dim
There are various ways that pcs just don't go into screen saving mode thanks to apps and windows. I'd hate to ruin my monitor because I leave my pc on after falling asleep or something
Do people actually like monitor buttons? I always find them such a pain in the ass to use on every monitor I've had. I've been using an LG C2 TV for the past few weeks and I honestly don't understand why you would even want a gaming monitor anymore. The smart tv functionality ended up being way more useful than I thought it would cause you can just press a button and go to all of the streaming apps. I also haven't figured out yet how to get them at 4K HDR through regular browsers, but the apps just have it built right in. I saw a 25 year old movie yesterday that looked more crisp than something that came out last week on the HBO MAX website cause they apparently don't even have 4K browser support.
No glossy no 4k 165hz no buy
i heard the text on this monitor looks really bad because the subpixels are weird
Wild the fps counter isn't working properly, those have been a thing a lot of monitors for years, like every Asus has had one for at least 5 years now.
there is an app also i have the gp950b and im pretty sure you can use the same app i9 can i have a osd for setting in windows and the lighting should match the colors of your screen
Real men use LG C2 42" for OLED monitor..
My cheap LCD LG monitor does the dynamic contrast adjusting on its own. That’s not for screen burn in, I think it’s on by default under your power save settings. It’s super distracting when you’re on a white page and move the page a little bit. You can turn it off
I just can't use anything less than a 32" 4k monitor, so I'll either need the 42" LG C2 OLED or something else. 27" is just.....blah.
I'd buy one if LG comes out with a 1080p version... Frame rates matter.
Lol. It does but visibility is also a a must. Played many hours BF1 on a 1080 monitor than switched to a 2k 144hz. It almost felt like cheating that I saw enemies way acros the map in a plane
was it the active fan of the G Sync modul that fall off?

Please I need advice, I want to buy my son a gaming monitor asap, it's for his Xbox series X, he's both a competitive player and single game campaign player (Elden ring, assassin's creed, baldurs gate, resident evil etc). I have a budget of around £1200. I'm torn between these monitors - LG 32GQ950, Asus pg27aqn(unless someone can suggest a better one), and this new Oled in the video.
He prefers 27inch but 32 is okay too, doesn't mind about 2k 4k but for competitive 2k will have an edge(he has 4k now but it's locked at 60hz with around 7ms response time).
