You can try searching Device Manager in the Start menu. Find the laptop keyboard in the menu that opens up. Try disabling and enabling the device. Then try updating the drivers for the keyboard. If that doesn't work, then it is most probably a hardware issue.

Download the latest version of BIOS available for your motherboard. Under the update fixes you should find Microcode update version 129.

Edit you won't feel gaming performance issues but you bought a i9 for productivity.
