Dylan Murphy he's running flat pedals at the moment for the weather. Sadly clips are just nicer to pedal in, however you should have both flats and clips. They each have their own attributes. I love flats but clips are just nicer to pedal in, whilst flats can get you out of bad situations. However not sure about the stamps being that good. I have had both CB DH and mallet Es and my mallet e's were crap, however the mallet DH's have held up ok. Lots of people having problems with them and CB are known to be temporary.
i love my strive and would not want to trade it for another one. but i swapped the cassette to a 511% ethirteen and the chainring to a 26t... now it's just awesome :D
And you just change tires .. lucky you. Still prefer the duo Magic mary in the front and hans dampf in the rear. I've got the same and those tires are awesome. I didn't expect it but we did a wet ride months ago (we don't find a lot of mud like in the UK) and surprisingly I had more grip in wet conditions.. Amazing
Just a nice due to your labels not matching up on your rims and tires. Also looks like you've blow through the travel on your shock as the o ring is off the bottom LOL.
How do you guys choose what bike to ride on a given day? You have so many that are for the same purpose. Do you ride a specific bike each day of the week?
I'm not using all the travel on my rockshox lyric fork, I have just over 20% sag. would it help to add more rebound damping and have more low speed compression?
Ellis M You could check to see if your fork has too many volume spacers in it if it has any at all. Also keep in mind depending on the terrain your riding you might not bottom out. If all you ride is smooth berms you wont be bottoming out. Even on most jumps you won't bottom out unless its massive or you land all nose. More rebound damping wont solve your problem but you should make sure your fork dials are set up properly. Im pretty sure GMBN has a video and if not there are others on RUclips.
Patrick Logan it might just be my local trails aren't rough enough. Also I don't think I have voloum le spacers inside because the bike came with 2 that you had to put in
It went together easily in less than an hour. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
It is an older model but assuming that it was top of the line for 2015-2016 it would be around 4-5000 euros. So, yeah, just shy of $6k. But with the carbon wheels...that's a $2000 after market upgrade.
Daniel evans Pop off the lip almost like your doing a mini bunny hop. More speed might help if you aren't making it to the landing. But before you worry about getting more air make sure you are confident with jumping in general. If you aren't then practice more and don't give up.
#GMBN. Scotty I noticed on your Scott Genius, you were running a 30t front chainring, now on your Canyon you have a 34t chainring, why the change? Are the GMBN boys giving you too much slack for the 30t? hahaha. I'm currently a 30t oval front.
So both Bike and component companies spend huge amounts of money in research and development trying to get their items as light as possible, then you turn up with a huge amount of excess hair, got to be roughly 400g's there. ;)
4:15 - 'A little substantial difference' 😆
Im glad someone else heard that. 😂😂👌
This bike is too good for me. It would feel wrong flying into trees and going over the bars with this beauty.
Robert Flagg dude, what if you scratched those kashima fork!
Another dream bike of mine....
ikr
Miss scotty on the GMBN Channel...
Absolutely sick bike. Way beyond what someone of my skill would need but for you, it's perfect.
3:45 flat pedals win medals
1:48 really?

Pretty sure the shapeshifter reduces the travel to 130mm as well Scotty - surely more relevant than head angle changes??
i love my strive and would not want to trade it for another one. but i swapped the cassette to a 511% ethirteen and the chainring to a 26t... now it's just awesome :D
Don't forget to name all those sponsors
Awesome bike Scotty
would really love to have one of these...
Nice video! Love that intro
Let's get a pro bike check on the gambler. One with it all stock, and the second one with all of the mods on it.

So how do you decide whether you use your Scott or your canyon? 🤔
How freaking many pro bikes does Scotty have!?!?! lol. The strive is so sexy in this color way btw
henry06x dude you should see those yellow rims in action, it looks cool when its spinning really fast 😂
GOT A CANYON STRIVE TODAY FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dream bike!
I LOVE ME SOME MAGIC MARRY!
Super nice!
Its super nice !
Super Nice! 😃
Super Nice!!
3:50 shockrubber dropped 🙈
you should do 160mm vs 203mm discs for trail riding
Love the bike but not the price
Super nice
If I could have only one bike in the world it would be the Strive.
Just a nice due to your labels not matching up on your rims and tires. Also looks like you've blow through the travel on your shock as the o ring is off the bottom LOL.
Awesome stunning bike. How much did it set you back? What were the modifications you did to get it the way you wanted it after taking it out the box?
I thought Conti did your tyres now? (Nothing wrong with Schwalbe, I've got Magic Mary up front Hans Dampf rear as well).
How do you guys choose what bike to ride on a given day? You have so many that are for the same purpose. Do you ride a specific bike each day of the week?
I just bought a HT and i´m not very comfortable with it the way I ride. I´m in love with the Strive and the Spectral.
How do u like ur crankbrothers seatpost?? I heard it was too slow to go up?
Are the settings on the fox 36 from fully closed or fully open?
Scotty's Strive has better looking than Neil's blue one
why does Scott have two 170mm travel bikes that are both made to do the same thing.
Good shit
Can you review the Al model compared to the cf?
scott rides so hard his o-ring on the shock is almost at the bearings
I was wondering what the difference was between the Fox float x and the Fox float x2. Why wouldn't you run the x2?
What type of rear axle does it have? is it a 142 mm or a boost 148 mm?
Often overlooked in reviews, personal and pros, first thing I wanna know is what size frame?
What stand are u using?
Is this the same as Neil's bike?
Seanpaulnz01 no
Seanpaulnz01 same model bike but different spec and I think Neil has a slightly longer reach version
Please GMBN, I really want to know if you can fit a plus tire in this bike, like a 2.8 or even 3.0 tire.
Definitely not a 2.8 or 3.0. You might be able to get away with a 2.5 though.
recommend
how many air spacers in the front fork?
What size frame does Scotty ride?
Topcap headset with FOX logo?
I'm not using all the travel on my rockshox lyric fork, I have just over 20% sag. would it help to add more rebound damping and have more low speed compression?

Ellis M drop to 25%

How much would this bike be
I have a specialized pitch (hard tail)
Scotty Scotty Scotty, you didn't even mention the bottom bracket!!! Is it PF or threaded cause that's a deal breaker for some folks!
If I was to get a bike with 27.5 on + sized tires, could I change them to 27.5 x 2.5
What size is this frame?
wow, santa cruz! represent hahaha
I have Giant Trance 27.5 3 2016
gapi pančur I also care about the same I care about Scotty's bike
gapi pančur I got a trance 3 too! It's the 2017 version
Good bike. I've got the 2014 Trance 1
Aaronmn7 and your is even better
Justin Jolicoeur yea trance forever
I don't like that Gmbn are sponsored because they are always talking about their sponsors and not giving their honest opinions on other products

How heavy is it??
why do you have the canyon and the scott?
#askgmbn I just bought a hard tail. it has spring suspension should I upgrade to air?
Colin Gagnon no you shouldn't
Ahmed Elsed how come?
If in budget yes
Because me and my friend I have air he has spring their is nor different it's not worth buying new fork
Francois Terblanche thanks
Dude I got the strive. Extra small. I’m 164 cm Do yo think 🤔 is this the right size for me
When you have a Magic Mary Trailstar on the front and a Maxxis Ikon for the rear ,you know im brapping singapores really confusing trail system
im on a hardtail too so i think the magic mary is overkill
Strive or Spectral?
I like the Strive but has anyone had any problem with the Shapeshifter? I heard it has maintenance issues.
TheOrangutank I like mine
Hey how heavy is this bike?
andy augustine 12.9 kilos
Marco Palacios, in a medium frame
27,5 front and 26 rear?
Is Scotty from the same area as Bear Grylls or what? The way he speaks is somewhat similar :P
Weight?
anyone know the latest on these being available the US?
Eric Lewis coming soon apparently
Who is better trek or canyon
Canyon if you're straight shredding, Trek if you're just hitting average trails. I think? Someone correct me.
Brake lever angle!!! @yoannbarelli style lol
Pls do your downhill bike check
do you pay for your bikes
What frame size?
I believe it´s size L
Im not sure, it should be XL for his hight...
What is the readily price for that bike..? $6000......?
Julie Walls Around 6000 but with that wheelset maybe youre looking at 7500 or so

Ye scott
34 tooth front? Jeeez son, way to have the power legs
:o you don't use helitape on the cranks
BeatJumper 👽 helitape?
clear 3m tape to stop the decals from being rubbed off and to prevent wear to the carbons finish.
Why don't you sell gmbn water bottles?
Does anyone know how much this bike would cost?
Lots of different spec ranges tho and their aluminiumiuninum is also really nice with about a 1 kilo difference
***** Yeah that's a expensive bike not as much as I'd expect to be though
the brake levers are almost horizontal
#askGMBN how do you take your bike with you on holiday out of the country
#askgmbn what's your to tips on getting air
Daniel evans Pop off the lip almost like your doing a mini bunny hop. More speed might help if you aren't making it to the landing. But before you worry about getting more air make sure you are confident with jumping in general. If you aren't then practice more and don't give up.
should have raced it with neils strive.
66° head angle!?!?!?!???? how do you even get down the hill with such a steep front end! 66 is so 2014....
#GMBN. Scotty I noticed on your Scott Genius, you were running a 30t front chainring, now on your Canyon you have a 34t chainring, why the change? Are the GMBN boys giving you too much slack for the 30t? hahaha. I'm currently a 30t oval front.
THEY AFTER MARKET FORKS 170MM
flat pedals win medals

Too bad it's supper expensive
hello from 2023

Love this bike so much but the price... Arghhh. First the bike after the car. Lmao.
473

Not sure about the way the geometry looks
