Click bait. What a surprise. Welcome to the 21st century, where nothing is affordable. In the 1990's I bought at various times a '67 Catalina, '69 DeVille, '56 Custom Royal, '83 Alfa GTV6, '78 Fiat Spider, and '76 Midget. Each one was under $2500 US, and they were all simple, super reliable, solid, and easy to work on. Just try to find one now under five figures. The only vehicles now that are fully depreciated are crap 2000s cars made of tinfoil and plastic and antique electronics. The golden age of cheap motoring is over, guys. At least we have our memories.
