Sticking to a plan is my biggest struggle. I'm always wanting to change it, add new stuff, try new plans. But it makes it hard to progress that way because you don't have the repetition over time necessary to master something and you don't have anything to compare yourself to, to see how you have improved week by week.
That is tough when it comes to calisthenics training for sure. You have to learn to trust the process. It’s boring at times but try to remain disciplined and soon you’ll accomplish those goals.
Not gonna lie but one of the main thing that stops me in my tracks in calisthenics training is the paradox of choice. So many exercises to do, just get overwhelmed i guess lol
Cycle through exercises as you can't just do the same ones all the time anyway

Get Building The Gymnastic Body PDF. It's contains it all in a push/pull/core/legs routine with a logic progression of many moves that build on top of others in complexity in a step by step way, safely. Best thing out there, and I've got loads of Cali/Gym/Bodyweight books and it's unrivalled.
I feel that! That was hard for me at times. But if sometimes you have to sacrifice things to get where you wanna be. I sacrificed my front lever in order to train the planche harder.
Nice video and it's big true. I'm 56 years old, one year and five month training 6 days per week. For me the most important is energy. Sometimes I feel tired, and my age could be a reason but I also think that my body can work better with some exercises than others. I can do a pair or three reps of weighted pull ups with 40 kg in five series. Also more reps in lower weight. This year worked hard and I can jump from the floor with the arms in cross position over head, to L sit and then rotate for a inverted handstand semi extended. But It' s extremely hard for me each day, sometimes I look forward and can't find a explanation to this energy changes. My next objetive is work shoulders and core for planche, but I weight 80 kg and I know it may take much time.
The genetic disadvantages of having a bigger or heavier body is actually an advantage🤔 I enjoy callisthenics because its easy to listen to the body whether it's time to stop and not over train
U said longer Limbs are bad compare to the body (thats a mistake) long legs will make it harder long arms will make skills like ´planche and front easier , so u should have a good time XD
What is one of your biggest struggles when it comes to training calisthenics?
The best exercises for building straight arm strength, would love to see more of the exercises you do
one arm pull up
I’m heavy so performing any one arm technique is hard.
Right now handstands
Planche technique and handstand.
Mi shoulders needs some complementary training with militar press or some exercises.😢

Thanks for this I have most of these and now I can counteract these.
Indeed 👊🏽

It has its pros but generally smaller people with shorter arms do have somewhat of an advantage. Still no excuses.
Do the Germann Ring Training. It do it with 41 and I‘m the strongest version of myself.
Nice work! That’s motivating
The First Time beeing Short pays of for me 😎😎😊
😂 👊🏽👊🏽
Ikr, muscle up been taking me for half an year..
How do you train for it?
as sson as you said "genetics" I'm like...yeah, there are certain things I'm not gonna be able to do as a super skinny 6'7" dude
Yea you’ll struggle but it’s not impossible. Just takes a well thought out game plan, proper execution and consistency.
I am 5'11 197 pounds strugle with front lever and hspu but slowing geting there
Slow progress is still progress you’ll get there
U said longer Limbs are bad compare to the body (thats a mistake) long legs will make it harder long arms will make skills like ´planche and front easier , so u should have a good time XD
Good content a little spoiled by the political momentum of that keffiyeh cloth you're wearing.
there aint no way at 6'3 imma be good at calisthenics
You can! Just have to train smart and be consistent
Kettlebells>>>
Definitely a sleeper
