    2:08 Brentford's high press
    5:53 Creating wide overloads
    8:28 Playing a winger at wing-back
    10:13 1-0, Sergi Canós, 1-0
    12:39 2-0, Christian Nørgaard
14:18 Message ahead of the game, and how to be competitive in the Premier League
In the first of two exclusive masterclasses with The Coaches' Voice, Brentford manager Thomas Frank looks back on his team’s Premier League bow in August 2021. After sealing promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history via the playoffs just a few months earlier, Brentford began life in the top flight with a fully deserved win over Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Using the 3-5-2 formation upon which their promotion push was built in the previous campaign, Frank set Brentford up to attack opponents starting their campaign with ambitions of a return to European competition. Here, Frank talks us through the win, the reasons behind his team’s aggressive approach, why he likes to set his team up to “take risks”, his reasons for converting winger Sergi Canós into a wing-back, and how this performance convinced him that Brentford could compete in the Premier League.

These videos are great. I'd love to see one of Ole; I know he gets a ton of flack, but I know he must've been smart and it'd be cool to see his thoughts (and redemptive for him), particularly in some of Utd's bigger wins

@@BigSmokeMUFC the Chelsea ones wouldn’t work cause the real reason they won was because Lampard had just got the job, and he was a completely inexperienced manager.
Then when Lampard actually got the best out of his team, they comfortably beat United 3-1 in the FA cup semi-final and drew against United 0-0 the next season

As a Dane I have been following them for awhile in the championship because of the Midtjylland connection and interesting transfer philosophy.
They are definitely doing things their own way, and I think they separate themselves from the pack that way.

I'm a Liverpool fan but Brentford have a good coach in this guy. To be fair, I never really watched Brentford before this season, but I heard of him and watched his interview when they got promoted to Prem. I felt as if he's a genuine and honest guy who is also a bit interesting.

A big thing that makes Brentford good to watch is what he mentions about creating "man to man" scenarios, even in defense. Most 'underdog' teams sit and wait for counters/frustrate opponents etc. But Brentford just go toe to toe, and seemingly the end result often depends heavily on the first goal. Watching this two years on from that first game, I dont think the tactics have become more shy which is great! Certainly don't need more Dyche-esque teams in the league.
