Desview T3 Teleprompter Mounting Option

- My modification to allow larger tablets to be used and mounted without putting any weight on the lens of the camera which is filming.
Made from off the shelf components and an easy to make bracket to hold the T3 teleprompter unit.
Using the modification it can easily accommodate cameras such as the Canon G7x mk3 and the Sony A6000 series which do not have lens threads and would be excluded from being used with the original unit.

Brilliant! Great solution as the weight of the t3 broke my 16-50 (I was able to fix it) Thank you for your generosity Graham! Many blessings.... :-)
The weight cracked my Sony zv E10 lens. Several times the camera would say unable read lens (something along that line).
@@jjabb yes. My Sony A5001 also said unable to read lens. The damn Desview T3 jammed my lens, by braking off a small piece of plastic, fortunately after complete disassembly and removing the broken piece of plastic, reassembly was successful. My lens works again. :-)
@@GuyMonroeVoice great to hear. You can also try the CAME-TV adapter just incase this support is complex to assemble.
excellent video - I just ordered the desview T3 for my Sony A6600, will definitely be ordering these components before using the desview T3 - can already see this will be game changing, I can't wait!
Thanks for the info!
This guy engineered the shit outta this! Love it. He offers the best solution hands down for this setup. Good job!
Great solution. The fallacy of these teleprompters is, they rarely can ever hang on the end of the lens.
Hi Graham, thanks for the informative videos - I've watched both your reviews of the T3. May I check one thing - apart from using a DSLR or a phone as a recording device behind the teleprompter, is it feasible to use a laptop or a webcam as the recording device instead (while still using a phone / tablet, and not the laptop's screen, as the device showing the speech text)? Thanks very much in advance!
Thanks for the content, may you please help me to understand how the remote control has to be linked? I have issues in connecting it with my samsung phone. Thanx, Max
Great idea!! Now you can sale that to Desview!
My Desview T3 teleprompter screen is in my shot on my phone camera. It’s so frustrating. Do you know how to fix?
Hi Graham
Please I have the Lumix FZ300 and I have a problem with the lens. There’s dirt inside of the font element lens. Please how do I fix it. Thank you
Hi Graham, amazing video and well done using SmallRig components. You're a macgyver for Cameras! A few questions for you:
1) I'd be interested to potentially swap out a tablet for a 6-8" external field monitor that could then be used to not only see people on zoom/Ms Teams meetings but also maintain eye contact with the camera being used. With your modifications, can I also use an external field monitor instead of a tablet? They're usually pretty light but would be heavier than tablets.
For reference I'm using a Sony A7iii mirrorless camera with the Tamron 28-75mm lens and would use it at the widest 28mm view.
2) Do you know if Desview is going to offer a kit like you made and formally include it in their T3 package? Have they mentioned anything about using your idea to improve the teleprompter?
I think this teleprompter attachment style has loads of promise. I'd want to avoid the bulk of larger teleprompters like glide gear and others, in favour of this one with the modification. It would be more portable as well to take on trips to.
Useful video for me, well done, thank you!
One question for you: Can I just use two tripods - one for Desview T3 and the other for a Sony DSLR camera - instead of all the components that look too complicated for me?
yes, or a light stand just to remove the weight from the lebs
Thank you so much for this video and solution!
Excellent video!

Hi/ is compatible with ¿Sonyzve10?
Hi Raul, a question because I just bought a Sony ZV-E10 and a Desview T3 and it seems that you already have some experience with it. What did you buy to use the teleprompter on your camera? Thanks for your support! Greetings, Lisa

Amazing ❤❤❤❤
Awesome!! Could I invite you to test a £39.99 desk lamp? Very suitable for home office & night working.
So what you're saying is don't buy the Desview T3 teleprompter? LOL!
Only if you are prepared to accept some risk of lens damage unless you provide addition mechanical stabilisation of the teleprompter via another tripod, light stand or some other means.
@@GrahamHoughton12 I hear you sir. Great video, I’m just having fun with my original comment. It seems to me with all the modifications required it might be better to look for an alternative option.
Isn't there a simpler solution without having to assemble all this?
