I agree with you 100% on the motor, there are so many of these running around with chevy engines. Nothing against chevy but it belongs in a gm product. There are many combinations of mopar power out there and they aren't that expensive that would really make this thing rock.
its a nice truck but a small block chevy :( why is all i can ask after all this work? then to poor salt in an open wound you proudly put the mopar m on the floor as what seems to me as a sick joke for all the work and money put in to this would it have hurt to spent a little extra on a mopar engine granted it is your truck and you did do it right and ill give ya respect for the work you have done
Hi again, Keith. Sorry I didn't clarify which truck I was talking about. I was referring to the You Tube video entitled: Rat Rod Truck Juanky Built 1948 Dodge Pilot House, to which, you commented: "I hate to put a kink in your project...but this is a 49, not a 48. Very nice job on it, though!" Take care and have a great day. Ty
Looks great, I think I would try canvas or something to cover the new metal in the bed but thats just my 2 cents. It looks great, you guys put a lot of hard work in that 48
They changed the body to this style in 48. 48 and 49 both designated as a 1 in the model. example a 48 or 49 1/2 ton pilot house is a B1B. B for pilot house, 1 for 48 or 49, b for 1/2 ton. So not to put a kink in anything either, but what is it that makes this truck a 49 not a 48?
I gotta say WoW! Very well put together vid... great lookin rod with all the custom fabs...takin some time, no doubt but will be well worth it! And your littles lovin it too! :) Very cool.
We had a 46 and just recently sold it to purchase a 48 model and the good news is we now have the 48 and am busy redstiring the cab. Thanks for this lovely clip and showing us how sexy the 48 model is compared to the 46.
