- Welcome to Panajachel, Guatemala! In this vlog we take a day trip over (by boat taxi) from San Pedro la Laguna to Panajachel la Laguna in Lake Atitlan. This was an extraordinary day as we explored the Mayan handcrafts market, Cafe Loco, Reserva Natural Atitlan, & Guajimbos!
Pana was an extraordinary little town & we wish we had designated more time to exploring it!

Nice video. I felt bad about you guys got scammed. should be good if there is some INGUAT office to make a complaint, that has to stop, it is not good for the tourism. Pana is beautiful. I was there last April.

Another great adventure! We saw a solo coati in the woods by the sidewalk when we were walking to the beach in Cancun. Weird there was not more, but maybe we just didn't see them. That swinging bridge had a great view; makes sense that you love them so much.

Pana is awesome, best street art on Lake Atitlan. I randomly met one of the guys who organised many of the street art in the community while I was filming a video, he's a great guy. So humble. Awesome video. 🙂

Yeah we really should’ve looking back now! I bet it was amazing!
The reserve has a trail that goes down to the lake as well! I spent the night there, which includes admission to the reserve. That gave me more time to explore it. At the lake it’s best to find out the price ahead of time. Then you can just hand the money to the driver and walk off matter-of-factly. It does vary depending on how far the boat or tuc tuc is going. There are definitely no round trips on lanchas, unless you pay for a private boat to wait for you, which is very expensive unless you’re a large group splitting the cost. 😁
