  • Baalwala, a passionate explorer, embarked on a poignant expedition to Government College Lahore, driven by a desire to uncover the profound story that unfolded when the legendary Bollywood actor, Dev Anand, visited the city. Beyond the glitz and glamour of cinema, Baalwala sensed a deeper narrative-a story of partition within the borders. In this compelling tale, Dev Anand's visit to Lahore served as a powerful reminder of the shared history and intertwined destinies of India and Pakistan. Through interviews, personal accounts, and historical reflections, Baalwala aimed to shed light on the emotional impact of Dev Anand's presence, bridging the gaps of time and space to forge connections and heal the wounds of a divided past. With a compassionate lens and an empathetic spirit, Baalwala sought to unravel the layers of this extraordinary story, revealing the resilience, love, and humanity that endure even in the face of separation.

Balwala sahib, what a sweet memories you make me recall. I feel great honor that i was the tour guide from TDCP for respected Mr. Dev Anand g and his fellow country men on one day Lahore Yatra 1999. I, holding Dev g hands told him that he and his blockbuster movie "Guide" was the source of inspiration to become guide in Lahore. He and few other celebraties, like Mr. Jaswant Singh, Mr. Kapil Dav, Mr. Pargat Singh, Mr. Muhammad Shahid and Mr. Javaid Akhtar were in the group and liked Lahore very much. We took them for evening tea at Tomb of Emporer Jehangir. It was very beautiful and eventful day. They said at the end, Lahore Lahore ey (Lahore is Lahore)

What an outstanding job you've done, Sir, you and your playback artist, walking us down memory lane, playing on our heartstrings, getting our tear glands active as your playback pal does by imperceptibly tweaking little bits of these snippets from memorable Dev songs to work on those tear ducts... I'm a 79-year old Dev Anand fan and I must say this remarkable vlog of yours, with its deadly comb ination of your rich voice, your playback support, and well-chosen episodic excerpts from the repertoire of Shree Anand, should come with a health warning for the unwary: proceed with care as the contents may constrict your throat and loosen your tear glands!

He was very attached to Rawalpindi throughout his life but unfortunately couldn't visit the place after leaving it in 1947. Good to see this program regarding Dev Sahib and GC. Would appreciate an other program on GC and Balraj Sahani. Could it be possible that authorities name certain places after these legendary people.

There is a philosophy involved behind making these type of videos by you "Dear Balwaala". It is as if we are immersed in a poem. Yes, Dev Anand was most charming hero of that time. His old movies were awesome. Thank you for bringing back his memories. 🙏🙏🙏

The doors of the borders which have all been closed,
whose winds we only heard and have never seen,
you are opening for us the windows
of the views beyond those borders.
    💐👍

Yahin unkay teacher Siraj Ul Haq sahab ne unkay dublay patlay honay par kaha thaa k Dev tum kaghaz ki hockey bana kar khela karo, aur aksar parhai main kami beshi ki surat main Dev ki dramaybazi dekh unko kehte thay k Dev tum Bombay chalae jao.

You could not have summed it up any better, as you did,
These are stories of the love of your land, your ancestry, which cannot be hindered by the division of country boundary lines.
