The most lax security I've ever seen. Cool though...as long as no one fucks with the band or equipment it's all good. Everyone is respectful and having a great time. How it should be. I remember asking Don years ago about playing fests and he seemed to have no interest. Funny seeing this.
Obscene Extreme has always been that way. They don't need barricades or an army of security in front of the stage, and it would honestly ruin the experience. Most of the bands that play there encourage people coming up on stage to dive or whatnot, as long as they arent interrupted or gear gets fucked up. And the bands will be walking around hanging out with the fans before and after.
