Brought them 3 roses in 76 concert in Madison, Wisconsin and ended up being brought backstage to meet them.....Dan Peek had just left the band.....met them at their hotel and Gerry bought me a drink at the bar....what a night that was!!! ❤️🎶🎶❤️
What a great high quality video of this song! Excellent case study for all musicians and women in love with these three cute guys, they deserve the three roses! Thank you for posting!
I guess it could be considered a deep cut. It was my. Favorite song when I got that album. So good!! It does make me sad to think what the three of them could have produced but I’m grateful for what we got.
@@shrink2003 Without a doubt, had Dan stayed with them they would really peaked👍. Imagine Dan with them doing "You Can Do Magic!!"👍. Its great "as is", don't get me wrong, but Dan could have brought his "high part" into the mix, to add even more "Magic"!
Clearly Dan was a gentle soul and the excesses and trappings of fame and fortune eventually crushed him , and drove him to quit finding peace in religion .
It was about this time I saw America in Birmingham UK as a 15/16 year old having heard them on radio caroline on a crackly old radio. One of the best concerts I ever went to. America captured a lovely, melodic but slightly melancholic sound which no other band ever equaled in my opinion. Music from a time long gone. Thank you for putting this up. I really enjoyed it.
4 songs in now, waiting in anticipation for the 5th and what might it be. Green Monkey would be cool but they are all brilliant.. Guys look like they came off the Hat Trick photo shoot!
America was the very 1st album I bought as a young teen girl, this sounds absolutely fantastic the acoustic guitars and glorious harmonies! 😍 🤩 I miss guys with long hair with a hint of sideburns, they’re so handsome here! 🎉 WHEW!
Love this band! The saying soundtrack to our lives is over used but here it rings true. So many great memories of my life are accompanied by these songs. The quality of this and all the BBC recordings is just phenomenal. I don't know if this has been remastered or not,but the clarity is great.
Wow, what a treat it is to see and hear this in such high quality. Saw them play a great show about 15 years later, long after Dan Peek had left. I bet it's somewhat emotional for his family to see him here in high def and so alive.
One of my favourite bands of all time ever since I first heard Horse with no name when i was a kid. Got loads of their records. Love everything about them. Those were the times for music late 60s early 70s.
Hopefully there is a version of Horse with no name and Ventura Highway from this In Concert. Can’t wait to see the documentary on this band that is in the works. America is my all time favorite band !
America's first album just knocks it out of the park! 'Children' was written by Dewey, but he lets Gerry sing it. Dan wrote 'Donkey Jaw's, but he lets Dewey sing it. You simply never see that. Ball go over fence. Now run bases.
One of my favorites to play ! Listening to them in the 70's made me get a 12 string. I have a real one now, not the el cheapo I had back then. You have to learn and start somewhere. Seagull S 12 now.
FOXES!!! Dewey’s voice & those harmonies….Probably 1 of my absolute FAVE songs by them-1 of the 1st albums I memorized back in the days of BIG headphones & childhood solitude, listening to great music while growing up in the early 70’s on a weekend evening….❤❤❤🙏🌞
Great performance! Great songs from this 1973 concert coming out one by one... So far even, one song from each member and John Martyn's. Let's see what song comes next... Not much videos of the band at its best, as a trio, hence hard to see Dan, so this is a gem
Saw them twice in the early 70s. First time a young Jackson Browne opened for them, second time Eric Carmen(Raspberries) opened. Wish I would have at least saved my ticket stubs.

Gerry should have bought you Four Roses Kentucky Bourbon whiskey.
@@terryaaronson1256 bet he claimed it back on expenses 🎃
I've seen this 100 times, but here I am again.
...✌
*God bless America Band. I love you Dewey Bunnell, Gerry Beckley. Rip lovely Dan Peek*
What a great high quality video of this song! Excellent case study for all musicians and women in love with these three cute guys, they deserve the three roses! Thank you for posting!
One of the best deep cuts from their discography imo, Dewey's voice sounds awesome in this clip!
I agree, Deweys voice is "on point!" Great to hear Dan with them to!

So fantastic!
it is amazingly good
Couldn't have played a better America song. One of my all-time favorites never get sick of listening to it
Brilliantly performed. Rivals the studio cut... and exceeds all the other performances from this BBC archive ( thus far )
Dan Peek was an important part in the band. It's a pity he quit. The harmonies were perfect.
They were but I think the Rock life had gotten to Dan and he was better off moving on.
But the other two always talk very good about him
I agree, very good vocalist and the best guitarist in the group.
Clearly Dan was a gentle soul and the excesses and trappings of fame and fortune eventually crushed him , and drove him to quit finding peace in religion .
2024 Still my favorite song of all time!!!
Los tres tan lindos
Pero más mi bello DAN PEEK
con esos ojos tan bellos
Te quiero muchísimo DAN
X siempre te llevaré en mi corazón ♥ 😢😊🎸😇🌄🌠
Absolutely one of America's very best and beautiful tunes. RIP Dan!

Muchas gracias por todo siempre de todo corazón trio de artistas .
Ahhh, Dan Peek, where hast thou gone? Just imagine if he'd stayed.
Absolutely fantastic, pure talent ❤❤❤ Dan Peek❤
these guys were just amazingly good right out of the box, very talented.
My teenage years spanned the late 60s to late 70s. The soundtrack of those years was & is the best music ever!
Those vocal harmonies were so tight !
America was the very 1st album I bought as a young teen girl, this sounds absolutely fantastic the acoustic guitars and glorious harmonies! 😍 🤩 I miss guys with long hair with a hint of sideburns, they’re so handsome here! 🎉 WHEW!
I am going to see them in about 3 weeks, but I hear only Dewey is touring. Gerry stopped tour back in July and Dan went to be with the Lord.
Fantastic, thank you for posting this! This makes the 4th track from this show to surface.
I love Dewey's voice.
Excelente, estaremos esperando 👍🎶🎵🎸😃
Vivid memories for me....the 13 year old with a crush on all 3 of these guys❤
Completely unreal.
Along with, “Children,”
I couldn’t get enough of:
America:self-titled Album,
(1971).
Excelent sound. The perfomance is “magnífica”. Ensamble vocal and acoustic sound are amazing. Thanks America

J'adorrrrrrre ! Thanks a lot, one of my favorite songs of America, the sound is really good in this video. MERCI Beaucoup !
Such sweetness in the sample, eagerly awaiting the full release. 🎼🎶🎶🎶💙😸✌
Lovely track from their first album. One of the best debuts in pop/rock.
Eu com meus quinze anos ouvia está lenda, e hoje, aos 64 anos tenho quase todas salvas em minha playlist pra ouvir quando quiser, ou seja, sempre.❤
