It's funny, I'm watching this immediately after watching an old Filian stream where Filian was zooted after getting her wisdom teeth removed. Melody called in to get her to take a photo of the doctor's note, so she could be sure Filian understood what she was supposed to be doing. Melody seems like a really good friend.
When she started streaming she could barely lift her head off a pillow, she was lost and alone feeling desolate and desperate for something anything to give her some joy, just a hint of happiness. Seven years later, she can walk around her own home, she even can sing once again, and not just for herself but for millions of people, she has found joy, happiness, and a direction in life. she went from empty to having her cup runeth over and is living her best life because a scared young woman afraid and wasting away took a leap of faith and began streaming online in a desperate search for meaning in her life and ended up bring so much joy and inspiration to the world. There is a reason the world has come to embrace this insane little puerto rican girl, and we are all better off because of it.
After watching clips from this stream I have come to really respect and appreciate Melody She seems so kind hearted and genuine Knowing some of the details of Ironmouse's story, I'm so glad that she had someone like her in her corner What an absolute sweetheart
And that just proves that you can't judge a person by their occupation. With Mel's past, I wouldn't expect this from her if that was all I knew about her
It's always so good to hear these stories of Ironmouse's health improving. Even at this point, she is able to move around her own house for a change and have more face to face interactions with her parents. Hopefully her medication will help her even more and hopefully get to the point where she can actually eat regular food for a change. It will still take time, but I have faith that she'll get there. And all of this wouldn't have happened for her if not for the full support of her fanbase and everyone at Vshojo and all other Vtubers and nonVtubers that have been there for her over the years.
Ironmouse is such a standout entertainer in so many ways. It hurts remembering how cruel the Kai Cenat community were to her on social media, and how so many people will never realize how much she's impacted the world outside of just the internet. I remember the ID Foundation saying that with the aid they've gotten from Connor & Mouse, they were able to get legislation passed for more IVIG insurance coverage via Medicare, and they've been suspecting Mouse has contributed in part to recent increases in plasma donations - so much so that they want to figure out a way to statistically measure her impact!
So true. Even these intereactions get me teary eyes. I want the best for Mousey and everyone who has challenges that they struggle with, as I want everyone to be able to be happy and enjoy the beauty and wonder that life has to offer. Some of us just have more challenges than others. We may not nessisarily be able to overcome them, but that doesn't mean I won't fight and constantly try pushing my limits, even if sometimes my pushing has caused other barriers to in a sense, activate, thus causing other limitations to occur. Despite everything, I feel like I am healtheir now then I ever have been in my entire life, even though I still have a lot I want to improve upon. I want to be able to be a person who can inspire others to improve and just boost others up. Stay strong everyone and find things to enjoy in life that keeps you motivated and pushing on. Even if at first you have to in a sense gaslight yourself and fake the happy emotions until they eventually become reality. I have had to do that in the past myself.
