Inexpensive Counter Strategy: Build an aerial screen above any valuable/critical structure: 8 pillars, 1 ceiling, 2 hatch rings. I made one of wood/stone as soon as I saw this video, as I only have one main turret tower outside my cave entrance. ONEWING - Love your vids, keep it up.

Well, no one has tried this tactic on me with it up.... not quite a definitive yes, but I sleep better at night.

Great video as usual but one little thing you can make the quetz fall out of the sky without a platform beneath it you just gotta look at a certain spot below the quetz and it will do the same type of landing as you demonstrated with the build

its not that expensive I did an all metal one and moded it a bit so only 4 hatch frames were needed and I fit a lot more C4 on it took down a tek teleporter a base and enraged 10 gigas with it

This isn't an exploit, it's called being creative. Everything on this channel is creativity at its finest. Wildcard is why we went to a dedicated server. Everyone can be as creative as they want. Quetzal tank is the most creative thing I've seen lately.

You should do another kind of dispenser pegomastax trap but with bees for base defense!(queen bees dispense worker bees to kill intruder within a protected structure)
Just put a hatchframe on it so you can place the c4 on a structure this is also a good use of the large walls that were just added since it’s 1 structure can protect the quetz since it’s 4 walls high
Like just fly to the base get close to a structure and start placing c4 on it through the hatch frame

I dont think turret fire can detonate c4 (as is if it can even colide with the c4) might be wrong though, cause i dont think they work like rockets

We used to kill people's Giga's that they brought over to our server with a similar tactic, except we would just build a box filled with C4 and open one window, same principle, Quetz dies because they can't resist chomping, C4 cooks off. Good stuff man.
ok!......time to get my sky turrets up a bit quicker than I had planned on! Still...I don't think the turrets will kill the quetz fast enough, the turrets will have to extend up to the map ceiling to defend from this. Onewing...you evil genius! Love your builds! Thank you for sharing!

This is useful! But the only thing I could say is this is expensive for low level tribes. However it’s a great design and I love your creations
Low level tribes have no business trying to raid metal bases with turrets anyways.

Geoblivion Z dodo bombs were cheap, op, and there was no counter.
Because they were broken, as many things were and still are. Being able to drop a dead dodo with a c4 onto a base and destroy 20+ hours of work (turrets and whatever bullets within them), eventually leading into destroying hundreds, if not thousands of hours of work, was insanely unfair.
Something being creative does not make it balanced. WC has always had a boner for offense and nearly always doesn't give enough of a crap about defense, but there is a limit to how much you should be able to cheese someone's base for practically free.

Yo xONEWINGX - so you are making a surface explosion to cover much ground. what about instead of setting 12 c4s you would place 2-4 walls down from the middle of the quetz and place 6-8 c4s on them to penetrate the base and make the explosion happen inside?
Another idea would be to use the hatch shield and make a thatch wall down as far as possible and make it destuctable from the top - that way you can have like a 7-8 wall down construction with c4s on it to take out turret towers from a safe spot

TheFenikson you can't mate that's been patched for a while, you used to be able to suspend a foundation a mile under your quetz and fly it into a base and detonate it. If C4 on a platform penetrates through an enemy wall it will still detonate but do no damage, it has to be on the outside. In fact this was patched way back when I showed it on a boat in my first video.
xONEWINGx yeah, but still you can build like 10 walls down, fly over a turret tower and give it a decent hit , even from the outside, or will turrets shoot the c4 off?

the latest pc patch notes say Current Version: 279.252 - Quetz c4 bomber exploit fixed. Is this referring to your build or some other form of quetz c4 bombing? Unfortunately I know you are playing on console and I'm seeing console is behind on the patches from the notes so you may not be able to answer this question. I'm thinking it's likely going to either stop you from placing multiple c4 on your own build or auto detonate the c4, but who knows since the devs are so vague about what they do in the patch notes. If this is the case just love how they call outside of the box thinking and ingenuity an exploit.

I'd love to see something like that. Imagine an armoured Paracer with a giant shield up front, on the opposite side of the paracer is a wall covered with C4. Walk paracer up to base, detonate c4
Warpath I always wondered if this could be done. Maybe have so ceilings hang down so you could place dino gates around the paracer or atleast the front or sides of it.

Can no longer place C4 on platform saddles
Easy, put the c4 on dodos again and the dodos on top of the shield, with the spine of the shield made of thatch, then decon the foundation the shield is hanging from when you land.

Why can't you tame a bunch of pteranodons and make them seppuku the enemy base by strapping C4 too the pteranodon
C4 will Boom Boom just like on the corpse of Dodo
@@pan_muffinek Not until the Pteranodon dies. Really the issue is that pteranodons take a bit of time to tame and you can only put one c4 on each of them.

Has this been patched? I can't seem to get the quetz to try to land on the platform. It doesn't attempt to land at all.
Not to do with the video but I have recently had a glitch with placing sunk foundations on a boat that causes them to stick up at a 45* angle, wondering whether you had seen it b4 or could find a way to fix it
Its just a random glitch that happens when a foundation flickers to a different orientation when placed, its always been around and usually a huge annoyance as its hard to find the source foundation of the problem. You have to find and demolish the problem foundation, its usually best to just start again.
Any way in which you think you can defend from this type off attact ?

So if they automatically blow up if it’s died. Why don’t you do it with a live dodo. Because if the person has it on people only the dodo would land alive and then you could c4 him and blow up everything right?
according to this video, it doesn't work. c4 will automatically detonate in range of turrets when its on a dino.
What about on players? Have your tribemates slap some C4 on you, then get dropped from the bomber. If you do it with a shield you should make it to the ground before dying.

can u do something against high turret towers ? bc u cant survive 5 seconds in crossfire of 20 auto turrets
With a good saddle and some points in health your quetz probably can survive that. If there are actually enough turrets that you couldn't, you bomb the turret towers first and you'll need multiple of these.
